  I haven't looked at the current specs, but a plain ole chrome moly barrel will outlast most folks. Can't argue with the price. Don't forget to look at the low end Ruger as well.

I have a few gay friends that are pretty hard core right wingers. They're just too smart to buy into the unicorn bull####. But, even though all Republicans aren't homophobes, it might be safe to assume that all homophobes are Republican :). Lot's of gay folks just won't hang out where they're not wanted.   The Repubs need to get out of the social crap, and focus on running the damn government. I've told them that more than once.

  I have a number of both types of friends. The real shame is the otherwise intelligent gays that wind up being Democrats because of the way Republicans deal with gay marriage and similar issues.

That elevation turret on the scope can come in handy when you're shooting subsonic ammo.

  Put a can on it. That would be my main reason for building a short rifle anyway.

I have a couple of Eotechs, and Aimpoint, and a few other cheapie red dots. Can't beat them for shooting at running zombies. With that said, it limits the accuracy of the gun at longer ranges for me. With a magnifier, that dot is gonna get bigger and cover more of the target.   Aren't most cops capable of restraining themselves? Can they be restrained by policy? You already issue them powerful weapons. What if they go apeshit and shoot up a bus bench in semi-auto mode? Maybe they shouldn't have guns at all :)   I say issue them with fun switches and make them justify every burst. Again, they'll never ask me. 

  They're never gonna ask me, but I don't have a problem with every LEO being equipped with select fire weapons. If there is ever gonna be combat in the streets, law enforcement will be ass deep in it.

  Not when you have a shotgun handy :)
