  1. I used to be that way, until one of those yellow jackets stung me in the face. Now, if I can kill them, I will.
  2. Yep. They mean for them to stay put. Nice looking upper.
  3. I've read it before. I'm a big Larry fan
  4.   Everything I've read said shot at and hit, in the face. It was just a flesh wound.
  5. It's a hornet. Had a few hanging around in my front yard last year after I dug up an old dead yellow jacket nest. Biggest wasps I've ever seen. I sprayed the whole area and they left.
  6. if Tons of Fun had charged him for being an idiot, he would still be in prison. Oh well.
  7.   Or, you may just be able to enter the combination and open the door.
  8.   Not every piece of electronics will be taken out by an EMP. The electrical grid is one of the most vulnerable. because everything has long antennas, and because they have so many long lead time items. FEMA even owns a bunch of broadcast transmitters across the US, and those sites are hardened against EMP. My money says that FEMA will be able to gas those sites as well. My money also says that they will fuel big radio stations that need it.
  9. I have six of them here in Nashville. Each has hundreds of gallons, and up to 1000 gallon capacity. Most will go way past 48 hours. During the Katrina aftermath, we refuelled them (along the Gulf coast) while they were running, and kept them going for weeks. we had our own supply lines, so there was no danger of running out of fuel. FWIW, the federal government was real interested in keeping us on the air, and called me every day or so to get status reports. LOTS of radios hooked to car batteries out there.   FWIW, my cell service wasn't so good.   BTW... Natural gas is a bad choice, because they tend to shut the gas lines down during most disasters. So, it's the opposite of what you would think in terms of reliability. It's why we have diesel fuel on top of skyscrapers in NYC.
  10.   Beat me to it, peej. Not a scratch at all.
  11.   Your source for that info?
  12.   The Para 2 probably fits my hand better than any of my other Spydercos. When I got mine, there was a pretty long wait. I also have the Military in the same finish (Camo/satin). Highly recommend that one too if you like bigger knives too.   So far, my Protechs have been real sharp out of the box too.
  13.   Well, I reckon there wasn't any hot pavement handy to just sizzle 'em real good :)
  14. GT is an artist, plain and simple. I WILL have one of his knives one day.
  15.   There will be radio and TV, whether there is a grid or not, at least until we run out of diesel. Not a lot of battery TV receivers, so mostly all radio.
  16. How about Brantly Gilbert's back tattoo. Lots of redneck wimmins are saying good things...
  17. I saw a little earlier that you got thru the second one OK. Good for you. I assume they'll send you back home for a few weeks once you're released.
  18.   Guess I used the wrong terminology. Kick him in the moose knuckle. Find a way to blame it on me. :)
  19.   He should be able to do the same since he's reusing the barrel nut. Just gotta cut off the delta ring
  20.   No they're not. Those amateur Muzzies had AK's. If they had brought any skills along with them, it may have been more than a traffic cop could handle. I think SWAT gets way overused. With that said, I think Jihad assholes fall into the category of proper use.
  21.   You can remove the A2, dremel it, and reinstall it. The problem is moving the A2 sight to another gun. Just gotta get it off the gun without ruining it. May wanna get some spare taper pins.
  22.   Can't salvage an A2 sight. The sight and the barrel are drilled at the time of installation, so it's a one shot deal. I have taken a few of them off, but have only ever had one installed. I had these guys do that...   https://www.adcofirearms.com/
  23. If you're talking an A2 Sight, the front pins are tapered, and can be real hard to get out. You may also have to tap the front site to get it moving after the pins are gone. I have taken a few off. Don't think I have had to cut one off, but have had to dremel the pins so I could beat them out.   Usually not a fun project.
  24.   I would help you out in a heartbeat if my gun room was functional. I'm in the middle of the remodel from hell, and can't even get to my bench. You're not talking about anything too difficult tool wise.
  25.   It's big bore in the land of some Litards too (not the ones in Baltimore, of course). :)
