  1.   I'm betting it's not the gun. Dinky little grip. Even Hickok45 had a problem pulling his shots, and he's real good at it.
  2. I'm up to 3 of their holsters now, all IWB (two 3.0 and one 2.0). I think they are great for the money. I like my Stealthgear holster more, but it's 100 bucks.
  3. Precision Rifle is a good one at full price.
  4.   Haven't carried my 19 since I got the 43, except to the range.
  5. I don't shoot it as well as my 19, but it's lots nicer to carry.
  6. Sorry for your loss. Yep. I have a Model 36. Not quite as  pretty as that one.
  7.   Time for Vickers to come up with a 40 dollar one, I guess. His magazine releases are pricey, but work real good :)
  8. I have had high blood pressure most of my adult life. But recently, I had the same deal with elevated blood sugar. It wasn't the first time. Both times, they said, "we can fix this". Well... don't know who they think "we" is. The way I see it, I'm kinda on my own. So, as of right now, I have dropped about 44 pounds, and my body mass index is now 25.9. I am going to shave off another few pounds, but have started ramping my calories back up. I was on 3 blood pressure pills a day, and had to drop to one. Sometimes, I don't even need that one. I feel great, and I'm an old fart. Did it with Myfitnesspal.com and a treadmill for the most part. I was running a 1000+ calorie net deficit per day. I lost it really fast. So fast, that I haven't been back for bloodwork. My money says that my sugar problems are history, at least for now. I'll be 60 in a few months. The weight loss was easy once I set my mind to it. I use a Withings scale, so I don't have to write anything down. It sends all the data to the internet. Here my whole weight loss thing in one graph from the Withings site...
  9.   Don't forget Dolomite's mention of the cam pin. He's right. I would modify that core like in the picture. That's a great idea.
  10. I'm getting old too. They are gonna have to come to me... where I have lots of AR's :)
  11. One of the best schools on the planet...   Intro   http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=11014/learn/   Index to all the videos...   http://www.brownells.com/GunTech/how-to-build-an-ar/index.htm
  12.   My spare parts kit consists of more AR's :)
  13. Or this one. Modified to hold a cam pin as well... http://www.revolvr.com/modified-magpul-bolt-grip-core.html
  14.   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/181879/magpul-pistol-grip-core-miad-moe-moe-plus-ar-15-holds-1-bolt-and-firing-pin-polymer-black     This one works. Don't know what happened the first time
  15. I carry batteries. I always use lithium AA's in my Eotechs to reduce the possibility of leaking. It's unlikely that they will leak outside the optic to begin with. But batteries won't keep your gun from running. A broken bolt will. So...     http://www.midwayusa.com/product/181879/magpul-pistol-grip-core-miad-moe-moe-plus-ar-15-holds-1-bolt-and-firing-pin-polymer-black
  16. OK... I cranked up THIS gun for the first time today. Used the chrony to measure a bunch of different charge weights. This is some of the best money I have ever spent. HUGE improvement over the old school devices!
  17.   Who is Todd? I used to get moonshine from a guy named Todd. Is it the same guy?
  18.   You probably did. I was just bustin' your chops :)
  19. You didn't start a whole thread when you met me
  20.   Hard to beat.
  21.   I can find you. I know your brother, and he accepts bribes :)
  22.   Yep. The LCP is nothing special, but it works real reliable and accurate enough.
  23.   Somebody shot one against an oeler 35 and it was fine. It's easy to make a chrony accurate if you get the sensors right. These guys got it right.
  24.   Yep. Expected that. I don't mind burning the ammo for a separate velocity check. I will probably wind up measuring a lot more stuff, as convenient as this is.
  25.   Midway is on my shit list. Got mine from Primary Arms. I'm keeping my ProChrono as well. Just moving it to the "last resort" category.
