  1. I have met a bunch of TGO members over the years. Great people.
  2. I have two. May pick up a couple more if the price really drops. I'm like Slappy. The dot in my Aimpoint looks like a kidney stone. The Eotechs look great.
  3. I love burl maple. I have a couple of Protechs with it. Neither is as pretty as your specimen.
  4.   I have a Glock 30s and a Glock 36. With that said, I REALLY like the M&P 45. Nice shooter, and feels good in the hand. A 45 is just gonna have a bigger grip than a 9 or 40 of the same basic design.
  5. I prefer the 19. I have a 19 and 23, and have steered a few others toward the 19.
  6.   You won't go wrong with any of the three.
  7. I use a Lee 4 hole turret for the blaster stuff. It has some wiggle, but still does good ammo.
  8.   He drives ROV's. They also maintain them. So... oil rig yes, roughneck no.
  9.   I use Lee for pistol and blaster ammo, Hornady for 458 SOCOM, and Redding competition dies for my precision rifle stuff (with an exception). My Grendel loads are compressed, and the Redding Competition seater is too whimpy to do compressed loads. Voids their warranty. So, I seat Grendel with a Forster competition die. Of course, my precision loads are done on the coax, since the pussy Redding stuff won't seat compressed loads :).
  10. I'm a fan of the better Lee presses and dies. But some of their other stuff is way too cheesy. Everything RCBS makes is good. So, I would be inclined to go with them if I was buying a kit. I have some Hornady stuff, and it's good too.
  11.   Nah. We know where he lives :)
  12. Long, but very well done. Ben Shapiro...   http://livestream.com/GFV/Mizzou/videos/104990988
  13. What Hozzie said. The coax will produce the highest quality ammo from a standard single stage press...
  14.   Yep. He didn't say where he was robbed, but was on the way to South Africa. i'm sure he will fill us in.
  15. I saw that on Facebook.
  16.   Yes. The gun isn't getting much use. I think Cerakote is supposed to be the most durable coating
  17. 2nd Amendment did this one for my girlfriend last year. I highly recommend him...
  18. I can count it, but it would be a project :).
  19.   And a pinky finger is 50 points. That's Buford's personal favorite.
  20.   AR in the truck these days... always.
  21.   Mil or MOA really doesn't matter, as long as the turrets and reticles are in the same system. I have one scope with a mil dot reticle and MOA turrets. That's not a big deal either. With the PST's, the turrets match the reticle.
  22. If you want a scope that will be versitile enough for long range hunting/zombie slaying, then there are a few things that are important. You need...   1. Variable Power. You need high power for the long shots, but most likely need a wider field of view at times. 2. Side focus, so you can conveniently dial out parallax errors, or move your focus range to read mirage 3. Some type of ranging reticle. There are a bunch of different ones, from mil dot all the way to Horus 4. First Focal plane, to maximize ranging accuracy, and keep the reticle accurate at any power level. 5. Turrets for dialing elevation. Some folks recommend against dialing wind, since it it usually constantly changing.
  23. Some folks believe that long range requires extreme accuracy. That usually comes at a high cost. Given your line of work, you gotta know that finer machine tolerances, hand fitting, etc. drives the price way up. I have one rifle with a lot of JP parts... barrel, handguard, etc. Not saying that JP is my favorite stuff. But, they do put the quality into their products, and it's relevant here.
  24. Hold those chuckles. JP makes GREAT rifles, and well worth the money. A DPMS is worth what they charge too.
  25.   And then, you have Schmidt and Bender and Premiere for those that don't want those junky ass Night Force scopes. I own a bunch of Leupold scopes in their various grades. With that said, you won't beat the Vortex PST with anything in that price range.
