  Get the Vickers mag release. Don't even flinch. It's that good.

Vickers knows how to do a mag release on a Gen 3. My old G19 is floating around soewhere with that mod. It was perfect. I'm betting everything about your new gun will be perfect as well.

  The strobe doesn't bother me when I'm standing behind it. Bear in mind that a light is necessary to see your target, but also gives away your position. Anything to minimize that can be helpful

  Yep. You keep backup iron sights on a fighting gun usually because the main optic uses a battery. Smart guns will never fly. And free cheese ain't really free. Fairy tales for dumbasses.

That second pic doesn't look too bad in terms of seating depth. If you know the OAL, I can probably run it in quickload and give you a ROUGH pressure curve

  In the Art of the Precision Rifle, they were hitting 18" targets at a mile with 308.    With that said, 6.5 Creedmoor will do 1000 yards all day long. It's a great long range caliber. The Barrel is short and looks relatively stiff. So, I have no doubt that he was making hits at 1000 yards. Consistency is just a lot harder to acheive without a good stock, trigger, and optic. 

Here's the problem... as you increase your seating depth, pressure can increase dramatically. You need to be careful! Watch for pressure signs (primer flattening and ejector swipes). I have loaded AMAX in 223. The ones I own cannot be loaded to AR mag length. Hornady should have load data on that bullet. 80 grain AMAX and 77 grain Sierra Matchking (mag length). If I loaded the AMAX to mag length, it could kaboom the gun.

Mine shows up today. I have a 42 and a 43. Just doing the 43.
