If you cast your own bullets, a 50 would work fine. Yep, the 50 beo is kinda just a big ole pistol round. That should really simplify reloading. The bolt should be fairly easy to get now.
  2. That was great

He's right.Got nothing against Bill Alexander (own two Grendels), but the .458 SOCOM is a much better choice. It's not straight wall, but none of my rifle reloads are. Since it's a relatively low pressure round, you will get lots of reloads on a piece of brass. Anyway, my two cents.

Raildog has a 50 Beowulf. Maybe he will chime in. Should be a standard lower. The upper uses a special bolt, and I'm sure the ejection port is milled out some. I have a .458 SOCOM. which is a similar deal
  5.   That was made by the same little Chinese guy as the one I posted :)
  6. The Daniel Defense Omega Rails are free float and use the standard barrel nut/delta ring, and the end cap remains. But they ain't cheap. I just pulled one off one of my carbines.
  7. I have a lot of high end instrumentation for electronics work. My EDC meter is a Fluke 189. I have always used Flukes, and so have my guys. We use multimeters frequently. There has been several when we were stuck out somewhere with none of our Flukes and plenty of Home Depot credit cards. The $30-$40ish dollar stuff is generally pretty OK. I won't use them to set an precision analog voltage reference, but they work for 99% of all other tasks.   We still have those meters lying around at transmitter sites or in our vehicles. Sorta like Walmart reading glasses. For a light use guys, it should last forever if you don't blow it up or let the batteries leak all over it.   So, don't be scared to buy this   http://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-Auto-Ranging-Digital-Multimeter-MS8301B/206177758   Or one of the others that have your required features.
  8.   Yep. I man handed one yesterday.
  9.  UTG is doing a much better job these days. I haven't messed with their handguards recently, but other stuff was good
  10.   Yep. A safe is for fire protection. Get one that will last longer that your local FD dispatch time. They had some time, and made quite a bit of noise.
  11.   All my Glocks stay chambered. But, I paid a little extra, and got the kind that don't go off unless you pull the trigger. :)
  12.   I'm not being hard on him. I shot my friend's desk with a Glock 27 one time. Long story. The dog still has a little twitch from it.
  13.   And the dipshit of death. Tex ain't the sharpest spoon in the drawer. :)
  14.   Agreed. Never know how far the all out libtardation movement is gonna go.
  15. I have one of these. 1-4x< Illuminated reticle, turrets, first focal plane. Reasonable price. it's kind of a circle dot when it's lit up. The 1x is actually a little more than 1x. Not so much that you can't use it with both eyes open   http://shop.opticsplanet.com/bushnell-1-4x24mm-throwdown-pcl-ffp-riflescope.html?_iv_code=BU-RS-AR91424I&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=plusbox-beta&gclid=CjwKEAiAuea1BRCbn-2n7PbLgEMSJAABQvTT1YtEOPglxhHo7tLvhVeyYffb5GBGhQBqaYhhn7sFdBoCtSbw_wcB
  16. That video didn't make me think less of Travis. THIS video (language!) made me think less of Tex, and he was an idiot in my book before...   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3kJ6SU3ycs
  17.   This is how I got it. He hasn't moved. He just added an outlet. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if he moved. It WOULD make me question his common sense. Assholes or not, Youtube is a key part of his success.
  18. First of all, +1 on the Coax Press. Best single stage press in the world.   I have two Redding competition seaters, one in 223 and one in 6.5 Grendel. The Grendel has never been used because Redding says that seating with compressed loads will void the warranty. So, I use a Forster die. I'm done buying Redding seaters. Can't whine about their bushing dies tho. They's hard to beat.
  19.   Agree. It's not like he shot off his pinky. He just let one fly into the berm.
  20.   Yep. I still love Eotechs. But, my old eyes have some astigmatism. I sighted in three last weekend, and got them in pretty well for what they are. I need a scope to reach out. I CAN'T pick between the two. If I didn't have a bunch of rifles, I would at least need a couple of optics with GOOD QD mounts (like Larue) to cover the types of targets I would want to shoot.
  21. Looks like he's caught red handed, even calling it an ND on the video. I agree that he should own up. He should also sue the bejeesus out of whoever leaked the video.
  22. Nice looking rifle. The Magpul Pro iron sights are great. Just stuck a set of them on one of my rifles.
  23. Yeah, she's a racist. One of my Facebook shares today...
  24. Yep. That's the ticket :)
