  1.   It's my area. I'm not all that worried, except for long term outages on the core of the power grid infrastructure.
  2.   The only EMP shielded radio buildings I'm aware of are government owned. They are really designed to protect the equipment from EMP. AFIK, cell buildings (when they use buildings), are just reinforced concrete. Of course, the cell engineers didn't see the movie either. :).   The real vulnerability is in the power grid, specifically the very large components with replacement lead times of 6 months plus.
  3.   I'm gonna be looking for a similar situation, kinda in your neck of the woods. Gotta get a couple of houses ready to sell first.
  4. Congrats! I am in a real similar situation.
  5.   Some damage. Doubtful that it would wipe everything out. There is not enough energy available in a nuclear warhead to wipe out every semiconductor junction in the US. But, I haven't seen the movie. I have just worked with high energy electromagnetic fields and large electronic systems all my life. I have seen plenty of stuff blown up. Had to fix a lot of it myself. Lightning hitting a tower generates one hell of an electromagnetic pulse. I have had direct hits on towers that were 20-30 feet from my gear. You would be surprised what DIDN'T get killed.
  6.   There isn't a wireless or broadcast site worth its salt that doesn't have backup power. It ain't gonna be like the movie. There are real concerns, but it won't be instant stone age. There will likely be long term power outages
  7.   What the criminal said... let 'er rip. Every upgrade has been pretty smooth so far.
  8.   Built two myself. They went together well with PSA parts kits and PSA buffer tubes. The grip screw hole isn't threaded all the way through. Not the first time I have seen that. Already had the tap, and fixed them in a few minutes.    First complaint I have heard.

    AR 15 Twist

I don't buy it for the flash holes. I buy it for uniform neck thickness and things like that. But, I also don't buy it to shoot up close.

    AR 15 Twist

It depends on brass quality too. I have a tool for flash holes. But, if you use Lapua brass, you don't have to worry about it. In fact, you don't even have to size it out of the box the first time. So, if going for high accuracy, I just shoot Lapua brass. If going for "good" accuracy, I'll shoot something else. Kinda eliminates the need for a flash hole tool for me.
  11.   Yep. I'll probably be a customer.
  12. The more millions that loved you, the louder your death will be in the media.
  13. There are ways to challenge stuff like this without going Voldemort. Open carry demonstrations are stupid.
  14. I could go for that. Mine is Maple Burl...
  15. The Godson is a sweet knife. My smoothest Protech.

  17.   New Orleans is a Democrat town. They even have free TVs and beer after hurricanes.
  18.   A handgun is no match for rifles. That Mini 14 might has well have been an AR-15. 10mm wasn't the answer.   3 of the FBI guys had Model 459 S&W's, which may as well have been Glock 19's. About the same size and capacity.
  19.   Probably not. Language...   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3kJ6SU3ycs
  20.   So, as soon as all the hair grows back, you came out of it with a good story and a new smoker. Good job :)
  21.   Me too. Have one on both of my keymod carbines, and put one on my little brother's as well. I really like it. Never was a fan of the Magpul AFG
  22.   I have both. The Larue is a LOT better. With that said, The PEPR QD is fine.
  23.   You don't wanna know... Larue.
