That's the FIRST thing I think about. I have 8 AR's. With the exception of the two fighters, which are virtually identical, they're all very different guns. The platform is real versitile. My little collection spans 4 calibers. Only one is a $600 gun.

I have them from the cheapest to pretty expensive. One of the main reasons I love the platform.

Now... when everybody is real calm and comfy, we can kick their asses and take their gasoline.

I have used pluck foam in electronic instrument cases. It winds up plucking when you don't want it to with heavy use. Don't sweat it. Just use it until it starts falling apart and replace. Pluck is REAL easy to work with. But, cutting foam ain't that bad...

I have had a pretty deep hatred since the 70's. I have done mean things to a few of them.

They look good. I'm a Plano fan. I'm not a fan of pluck foam.

They attacked symbols on 911, not some crappy little government building in OKC. I am not talking about the lives lost. Both events were huge in terms of loss. I'm talking about bashing in the hood of our Corvette (changing the NYC skyline). They were out to destroy American spirit. I think they underestimated our spirit and our response. Good thing it wasn't my finger on the button. I would have busted a couple over Afghanistan THAT DAY, and dared those assholes to fire one round in response. You can bet there was a boomer already sitting in the Indian Ocean.

Steve is one of the good guys. I have bought several knives from him, including a Protech Emerson with a Badass Blades logo. The first knife I bought from him, way before he was in the biz, was a Sebenza 25. I still have it. Anyway, his knife deals are hard to beat if you like scary sharp. You just gotta warn your friends not to touch the edge.

The AR platform is a funny thing. If you take guns from the three premium "manufacturers" and from PSA, there is a good possibility that the receivers, BCG's and barrels could be from the same manufacturer between the PSA and some or all of the premium rifles. Those parts are all QC'ed by their individual manufacturers. I'm not arguing against the premium brands. I have bought a lot of stuff from DD and BCM. I am just saying at AR parts overall are very good these days. Obviously, there are exceptions. But, it's not difficult, or even expensive to buy MPI tested full auto BCG's from PSA. Barrels? I just hot rodded a PSA upper with a receiver lapping job, BCM free float handguard, and a Geissele trigger. That thing shoots sub MOA with my SMK handloads, and guzzles Wolf ammo like candy.
