That's the High Output Stinger, awesome light for the money. You can also go with the regular Stinger, little less lumens but still an awesome light. It's what I use on duty. It can also be had in a dual switch variety, side switch and tailcap switch. They are both momentary on, or push all the way down and it stays on. Double click either switch for strobe. A regular Stinger will run your approx $80-$100 depending where you purchase it.

Off-duty or retired LEO needs no permit???
ki4otd replied to -Bristol-'s topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Also, don't forget about our handy state law for LEO's - 39-17-1350 Law enforcement officers permitted to carry firearms -
He's a great person to do buisness with. Ok selection, but with time his inventory will grow larger and more diverse. Nice group of folks, and prices are right as well. I try to stop in at least once a week.

I will certainly stop by and chat it up. Especially since I live in and work for the city.

Collierville voted YES to allow guns in parks by a vote of 3 to 2. Over 30 people spoke and only 3 were for banning guns in the parks. It was a very emotional and civil debate. A very great day for Collierville!!!!

Baptist in Collierville is not properly posted. They just have a circle/slash sign and "No firearms allowed" next to it on the main entrance doors and on the ER doors.

Discussion on posted restaurants
ki4otd replied to Fallguy's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I love the name of the street they are on -
Just went to eat lunch at one of my favorite places, and much to my dismay, they have posted no firearms allowed signs. They are legal signs too, with the whole language stated.

Fox 13 had this as their first story tonight. Beale Street Gun Ban Takes Effect But what it doesn't say, at the end of the story on TV, the reporter stated that if you have a carry permit and carry your gun on Beale St. and get caught, you will loose your gun, your carry permit, and go to jail. Man I wish someone had the funds to fight this in a legal battle and sue the crap out of the city for restricting access to a public street.

Bill passes to close local loophole on Restaurant bill
ki4otd replied to Fallguy's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
So what all does this bill exactly give us besides closing the loop-hole? -
WREG Channel 3 has a story also... Beale Street Bans Guns - WREG How come every one of the restaurant and bar owners that are interviewed come across as thinking that carry permit holders will be drinking? I guess they don't know how to read.....idiots.

I don't either. I don't understand why so many people are freaking out about this law. 36 other states allow it, and they haven't fallen apart because of mass shoot-outs in their resaurants.

TGI Friday's in Memphis on Winchester "no guns allowed"
ki4otd replied to ki4otd's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well I got an answer, if you want to call it that, from Friday's. Seems like it's a generic answer for most questions, just to make you feel all warm and fuzzy that they got your email. Update: I also just received this letter from the general manager of the Friday's in question: -

Ahhh, you had to say it didn't you! -
I opted for some #4 buckshot instead of cigars for a celebratory "smoke".

Agreed. If they are posted, correctly or not, they don't want my business. So I'll go elsewhere. -

Trust me, I'm not going to ask any manager or waitress or whomever if I can carry in their place. If it's not posted, then I'm carrying.
