Good stuff, spreading hate and discontent.

There is no law or regulation saying you can't talk about or repeat what you have heard from a scanner. I guess it is some for of entertainment for people. Me personally I hear a radio all day once I check out of service I turn the darn thing off and doesn't come back on till it's time to start work again.

It's my understanding long guns are ok to purchase out of your home state. Handguns require shipment to FFL to legally transfer them. But either can be bought person to person in your home state without a FFL.

Can you get in trouble if you forget your HCP at home?
Pain103 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I would rather one admit they have a firearm and them not have the card on them then be lied to. I have yet to cite or arrest anyone without their permit on them and I don't plan on it. I have stopped a guy who handed me his permit and had the firearm in the glovebox. He apparently didn't notice his permit had expired just a few days before. No charges just told to get it renewed asap. Most people hate to be lied to but I can also understand not wanting to possible get in trouble. So take your chances either way. -
Guns in Employer Parking Lots Bill HB 3141
Pain103 replied to waynesan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've heard stories of people getting fired for it and it blows my mind. I think it is a good idea but I believe if really wanted to be challenged by someone with the right attorney and enough money they could argue it. That is just my opinion and doesn't amount to jack really. -
Guns in Employer Parking Lots Bill HB 3141
Pain103 replied to waynesan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Generally schools are not private property. What I'm referring to is a business's parking lot is generally private property of the business. They can decide no weapons on property, no trespassing signs, and other things. I think they have great intentions with the bill and hope no one would ever get any kind of disciplinary action because they choose to protect themselves outside of work. -
Guns in Employer Parking Lots Bill HB 3141

I personally like it but don't see how it will fly. Basically stating someone can't dictate their wishes on private property. -
Looks like he is panning the laser/lidar unit the video cuts from him as he begins moving the unit. This is improper operator handling and may cause a false reading that is not a hidden secret and we as radar/lidar instructors teach officers not to do that. If some citizens were to be introduced to how officers are properly trained and the principles behind the units I would say there would be a lot less doubt about them. But you always will have people arguing about something.

Radar works moving or stationary. It can get readings from car going away, coming towards, in front in same direction, and in rear same direction. Just my opinion if it were me I would pay an out of state ticket and be done you got about a 50/50 shot if TN finds out and puts it on your driving history. Now if it was in TN I would say do the driving school and keep it off your record.

I've worked in another county that still had Constables and some were ok and others were well idiots. Best thing to do is read up TCA on constables on michie, then if elected I would make yourself known to your county sheriff. But as far as I can remember they serve any papers or arrest warrants like they were a County Deputy. They get paid per service or arrest. If you get elected and have no prior law enforcement experience I would do more than just the constable training, really read up on laws and try to get as much LEO training as possible so you don't find yourself in tough spot that can come back to bite you.

Running a serial number for any type of property doesn't use or require a name or any personal identification information. So the nonsense about running a number creates a gun registry is insane. Running the serial numbers on any property where you have a legal reason to be is good as long as your not committing an unreasonable search to locate the number without a warrant. Glad to hear it was a pleasant encounter though besides having the ticket.

My stupid forum user name doesn't have anything do with anyone's mindset. Honestly it's just a stupid name I used back when I was 14 and I remembered it. As far as training I'm comfortable with my knowledge and abilities but I won't discuss anything related to tactics especially on an open forum. Not trying to imply we received and super secret g-14 classified stuff but just my opinion.
-
You may be correct on the camera I watched it late last night could have sworn it was a gun but oh well. Why not the name Pain? Would you prefer it to be something else? It doesn't matter if it began with a jaywalking stop. If he had a legal reason to stop her that's all that matters I don't care if it was for Murder, jaywalking, or littering.

Did any of you observers see what homeboy had in his hand at 1:50 mark? Black revolver right hand. Definitely should have called more units once they started screeching and acting a fool. This wasn't the greatest of neighborhoods and typically have everybody and their momma come out to fight for someone else. I'm not going to second guess this officer but can only say I may have stepped back and OC Sprayed anybody who got in my way.

If I'm driving below the speed limit have at it and pass me. You can't exceed the speed limit to pass a vehicle or to change lanes. Also if the people behind a patrol car are two feet away from each other they are way too close. That's probably the number one reason for crashes is following too closely or driving while dumb.

The website says it's screening different locations. None of which are in Tennessee. Probably have to wait a few more months when the screenings are done to see if it will me a theater release or television documentary.
-
So it was security guards or Law Enforcement Officers? People were jumping like crazy thinking it was LEO. Honestly it sucks and shouldn't have happened but probably the only thing that will happen is if you file a complaint with the Department of Commerce and they come in to do investigation and look at records of the security guards and maybe fine the show management.

Trousdale County, TN– shooting ordinance:
Pain103 replied to Tempest455's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Counties can and do pass and enforce ordinances. I would check it on their website if they have one and this OpenDNS . This is a body that assist county governments in their ordinances and such. They usually have copies of their codes if you search. -
Those DOT laws are crazy strange you may have purchased a helmet with a sticker but I have heard of helmets not being legal and still having stickers. The best advice I could give is find a a trooper or an officer who is really trained and assigned to traffic to look at the helmet and ask questions maybe they can help you. Yes, your bike could have been towed. Your vehicle can be towed for many things regardless if your 5 feet from your house or 5 miles away.

You weren't in waterford were you?
-
What exactly do you expect? Trespassing is a misdemeanor in TN. Due to that fact you either have to sign a citation as prosecutor if the department allows it or go take the warrants out yourself. Then Law Enforcement is allowed to make the arrest with the warrant. But I believe you should be good with that posting but you may want to double check TCA before you do.

Somebody find who is doing the rain dance and kick him right in the teeth.

If it is "exactly" the way you say it isn't right. Did you contact TBI or contact NCIC/Feds? I have heard of people having issues with past convictions from several years ago and had to have TBI clear it up. If it causes an issue see if you can just get it expunged and take the court order signed to them and it will be gone forever.
