  1. You replace your SD ammo after 6 months? We fire our duty ammo yearly but honestly, I probably have some mags of duty ammo that stay loaded for 2 to 3 years before I shoot it.
  2. No love for the weak DA's here but it isn't up to him. The US Attorney's Office has to be willing, and they loved gift wrapped cases.
  3. Guns & Leather in Greenbrier and Goodlettsville Gun Shop. Most people have quit keep good stock of them probably because they don't make much off them. The last blue label I purchased I went to GT Distributors and had it shipped to local store for transfer. It was smooth they might take the GSSF.
  4. That's the dad tax. Pay the toll child.
  5. Having had to trace a firearm most recovered from crime scenes are either stolen or long sold to someone else. I don't know about other states, but it is so common even if one was recovered and it traced to a box store sell a few years ago it's not like bunch of alphabet boys show up demanding answers. At most I've seen happen is a call or show up and ask if they had by chance had the gun stolen and either didn't report it or the local agency didn't enter it in NCIC. It happens more than you would think.
  6. show_public_doc (uscourts.gov) Here you go.
  7. I liked D&T, I would go occasionally while still on patrol and do business checks while drooling. Everybody there always seemed laid back.
  8. They opened one awhile back in Goodlettsville. On Cartwright Street behind Starbucks.
  9. @Defender Have you been to RangeUSA yet? Seems like a nice place. I went in to buy some cleaning stuff as I didn't want to go to Academy, and it looked like a line to use the range.
  10. Check this site. They host the online ordinances for many cities and counties. Code of Ordinances | Knox County, TN | Municode Library
  11. @willis68 I may have missed it what is length of the blade?
  12. I think it's like a milestone for politicians to get "raided" by three letter agencies.
  13. Maybe I missed it in your first post but after reading Alleycat72's response, I assume you are trying to become foster parents? If so, if you take in those children and love and care for them you are a hero. I've seen too many foster parents just collecting a check and kids run off or worse. As far as DCS, I have worked many cases that involved DCS also and I can tell you in my personal opinion I've met more bad than good in that agency. Some of my bad experiences with them including improperly pulling a child out of class to ask them about being raped, DCS refusing to take a baby after a search warrant where used heroin syringes were in the baby's crib, and a child death that should have been prevented. That being said each county or field office seems like they have different attitudes and care level. I would assume you are probably dealing with more administrative "Nashville" employees and probably why they act the way they do. I would assume they would ask if you owned firearms and if they were stored securely so a child couldn't access them but that would be the most asked about it. No reason anyone needs to know the number of firearms and especially the serial numbers. If the foster parent route doesn't work out have you thought about just adopting. I've been hearing more lately about people adopting through church organizations versus the way many people use to adopt from China or Russia.
  14. You ain't lying about that elevation. We went tubing on a mountain and after about 20 minutes I could tell the difference in breathing. Also going up all those dang steps at Red Rocks. Never tried the canned oxygen they sell everywhere.
  15. I'm no help on locations as I bought mine at OfficeDepot. But I went with a Serta rated for fat boys and some days I use it 10 hours and have no complaints. My second favorite chair in the house behind my recliner that everyone seems to want to sit in.
  16. Well it is medicinal.
  17. There is absolutely no reason suppressors should be regulated and taxed. Now I think if it were to happen the prices would skyrocket even more than they have.
  18. Is this the bill you are talking about? pc0460.pdf (tnsosfiles.com)
  19. I saw it was on there and almost rented it but may wait until a weekend. Honestly for the price I would spend that or more to go to a theater. On a side note, if anyone needs a kid friendly movie "IF" wasn't bad it is available on Paramount+.
  20. Maybe but I've been getting numerous mailers from both candidates. I haven't decided on who yet, I've tried to do a little google-fu research about both. Honestly, I'm not thrilled with either. Haile is just going through the political motions, and I don't think he would go against the party for something if he truly believed in it or benefited us. Spencer on the other hand has no political experience, which can be good and bad at times. He lists his beliefs and opinions that are really similar to many around here, but nothing to back that up. All I could basically see was he wasn't born here and has lived for quite a while and ran for alderman in Hendersonville and lost then sued the fire department and that was dismissed.
  21. I'm sure it's because of this SCCR group looking to get their guy in office. It has been a pretty nasty primary with the ads, mailers, and signs.
  22. Did you bring that up to Nashville area a few years ago specifically Madison? I stopped and talked to someone driving a challenger identical to that at the Walmart in Madison.
  23. I haven't been in probably 3 years. Now most movies can be rented on a streaming service for probably the same or less than tickets and snacks at the theater.
  24. A Nashville republican didn't think that existed outside of Joelton.
  25. Check out the final law that passed. Seems useless for the most part. They can prohibit non-lethal weapons if a k-12 school is on property or armed security is provided in the building. pc0791.pdf (tnsosfiles.com)
