I see you mentioned a trailer unless it falls under certain criteria it may not have to be registered. If it is a personal trailer and not over 8x20 no plate is needed.

Just hit the no, results showed 70% no 30% yes.

So my google-fu isn't cutting it. Can anybody provide me a link to ballistics research or provide a copy of any official research regarding handgun ballistics comparing handgun calibers? I know at one time the FBI did some official stuff but I can't find it. The employer is considering a new caliber that many aren't initially thrilled about and I want to make sure rangemasters and armorers have more than enough information to make the final decision. Thanks for any help.

You should be fine. I do like the idea of a mourning band on the patch even though we only use those on badges.

They can tell you charges legally but departments can have their own rules regarding information release. I have heard of jails in the past only confirming a person is in the facility and what the bond is. I think it basically stemmed from keeping reporters from getting or making up dumb quotes from jailers. Also TDR some counties have websites where you can search inmate info/booking info that shows charges and bonds. I know Robertson County does if that is the county you are needing info from.

+1 for Stan. Sumner County needs some change up there.

That story seems odd like there is way more to it. Like Oh Shoot said if property was taken as evidence in such a case typically there would charges on the spot either custodial arrest or misdemeanor citation. Third hand information usually doesn't provide enough information to make any sense. If it did happen I would be making some appearances at the Sheriff's Office along with requests for copies of any paperwork.

What show are you talking about?
-
I think you are talking about the Sheriff's Office mobile booking unit. We drop prisoners off and take out warrants via video chat and get back available in less than half the time of going downtown. The thing he was talking about is a white trailer with a white box that has a camera and blue lights.

Look at the Galco. You can get the lace in version but I have the one without it and no problems. I do have the boot extender that i had to use with certain boots. I've carried a Glock 27 running and fighting no problems. I believe it is the ankle lite model.

Let it happen! While everybody was at Krogers getting bread and milk I got a case of beer and a pizza I'm set.

I like the Boulevard barbershop in Old Hickory. Been going there since they opened no complaints.

That last sentence is going to be my new sig line.

I had bought an suv from Carsmart in Hendersonville about 7 years ago no problems and it was in great condition. I knew a guy that only bought from them. But we bought the wife's last car from Carmax. I liked dealing with Carmax because I wasn't going to get hosed on interest rate and they didn't play games.

For some reason reading this post reminded me about this lady that was slow to stop one evening. When I approached she said she thought I was a tow truck lol. Never seen a tow truck Tahoe with blue lights.

That stuff is horrible. We have seen a huge increase in heroin in the area. Many people are going to heroin from their pain pills.

I used them to replace a rear window in my old suv about a year or so ago. I had no complaints.

That's your local DA's opinion. But you are not enforcing another state's statute rather TCA. It is the same as the states that require a front plate and also having a law that requires vehicles registered in State A that requires front plates to be displayed while in State B. It is lawful and officers can do it. But I don't know about you but I aint got enough room in my brain to try to remember other states' laws. I could care less if a vehicle from New York doesn't have a front plate or 20% tint.
-
Exactly. If you were creeping around the local crack hotel or dope block at the section 8 apartments you might get stopped. But average joe driving to work probably won't hear a word about it.
-
Too dark of tint is like those covers or rings around your tags. Odds are nobody will say anything to you or even get stopped for it but they are illegal. If you get stopped more than likely are going to get a warning but if you don't get a warning then thats how it goes. Me personally I like having some slight tint but not much more. I think it greatly reduces your visibility at night. The LEO exemption has come in handy more times than you would think. My vehicle has dark rear windows to help keep my K-9 cool but the fronts are barely tinted. I have also used tinted vehicles to have victims do a drive by or show up without having the suspect mean mugging them.
-
VLT = visibile light transmission that is like the darkness. So more than likely if the window is blacked out it is below the 35% level. As far as the ground lights I couldnt give you a clear answer I think it would depend on the color.
-
There is no exception to a rear window. All windows in a vehicle must be atleast 35%VLT. The law that covers this is TCA 55-9-107. The only way to have below 35% is to have the approved sticker by TDOS for medical condition or the LEO and commercial motor vehicle exemption per state law.

I ordered an upper and other parts last month and the same thing happened to me. They ship the parts and the upper is assembled by order. So the upper ships around a week later from the parts. That is why so you shouldn't wait much longer.

Working tonight until 2am. I'm sure I'll encounter a drunk idiot or two.

Side saddle - Shells up or down?
Pain103 replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I have always used slugs first over the years just because if I needed to make a shot from a little distance I didn't want to worry about shot spread. Now they have some great 00 they issue us and it really doesn't have much spread until about 50 yards. But I still leave slugs in the tube. I shoot long guns left handed so the brass up has always seemed to be more smooth for me to get the shells out quickly. I'm sure with some training I could do it just the same with the brass down but I started it that way and it has become so routine I don't have to think about how to load it quickly.
