If you go to any of the places in East Nashville or The Gulch it will be filled with hipsters or yuppies.

I'm fairly certain there are plenty of flights leaving the US daily that can take you somewhere.

Maybe I read it wrong but it says it is money from the casino profits collected by the tribe split amongst the people. What does that have to do with evrybody else or the gov?

Gov't Shutting Down Internet?? Says my Hair stylist.
Pain103 replied to hipower's topic in General Chat
The real question is why do you have a hair stylist and not a barber? Are you rocking a mullet or a perm? -
So how many people busted their backsides on the ice this past week? I have to admit I ate it hard in the middle of I65 while working.
-
It's mainly ice with about maybe 1/2 inch of snow in Goodlettsville. Got the trucks warming up thinking about going to a hill and watching people fail.

HB0320 (Matheny): HCP holders privileges same as off-duty LEO
Pain103 replied to GKar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I would be happy to see it get passed. Too many laws already that get people confused about where and when they can carry. Just say if you have a HCP you can carry everywhere except courtroom with a judicial proceeding in session. Thats pretty clear cut and you know they are not going to do away with that section. Remove all other sections about signage and schools. Really the only two things I see as a bonus carrying as LEO off duty is carry on to school grounds and carrying past signs. The principal and secretary already know who I am and were instructed the first visit that at all times I am armed but it will be concealed and they were happy about it. Never had this happen but if I am somewhere that knows I am armed off duty and they wish me to disarm or leave I will leave no fuss they own the property not me. I can spend what little bit of money I was going to spend somewhere else. -
I'm fine with snow but but I'd rather be on my day off because every idiot crashes as soons as one flake falls from the sky. I still remember one time a few years back it snowed and the bridge between madison and old hickory was solid ice and some genius hit it doing about 50 mph. He set off a pinball effect and hit like 4 cars. When I explained bridges the whole bridges ice up faster concept he looked at me like I was speaking German.

It could since it doesn't yet have a disposition. -
Yet another law enforcement question for those of you in the know
Pain103 replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
In a case like that it would be common for a patrol officer to take the initial report and then it would be forwarded to a detective for investigation and possible charges. Some departments allow the patrol officer to do some initial follow up/investigation in hopes to clear the case without a detective's involvement and some don't. If it went to a detective it is just one case in a stack of many and doesn't take top priority over any of them. Typically these scrap yard cases give good evidence by the license number or thumb print and even some have video showing the person bringing the metal in. I know someone personally affected will take it as they don't want to do anything but there has to be some order in which cases are handled or nothing would get done if they immediately stopped what they were doing every time a new report came in. Give a few days have him contact who the detective that got assigned the case and ask for an update. If he isn't willing to come to court and prosecute the courts aren't going to do anything except dismiss the charges. -
Some require membership and some don't. I just stick with the regular tag myself. I do like some of the other tags but never really put any effort into getting one.
-
You were always suppose to be a member of NRA to get that tag. Just like some of the other club/organization tags you show proof of membership. I would say if you were to refuse showing membership then they would just issue you the generic TN tag. It's no different if I were to get PBA or FOP tags I would have to show membership also. As far as the phone number there has been a box on your registration form for years for a phone number and it has come in handy several times when I found a vehicle and the listed owner isn't in the phone book. I wouldn't get too worked up I doubt your county clerk's office is looking at sending you to a detention camp.

2nd. Amendment Tax Free Holiday in Tennessee.

Would be great I would make a special trip to Guns & Leather to spend some money. -
As long as your legal to own the firearm you can have it loaded and ready to rock in the car. No HCP needed.

I could see why people would wan't to hear the radios just like watching tv I guess it's entertaining. Me personally I turn my radio off as soon as I pull into my driveway and don't want to hear a single beep, tone, or word out of the radio until my next work day as I pull out of my driveway. We use a digital trunked system and isn't bad but it takes a little while to get all the kinks out of it. I also have a secondary radio in my vehicle that is UHF to communicate to surrounding areas are still using that system. I pretty much have every agency in Middle TN in my radios and typically only use them to talk to three or four difference agencies. Do you guys listening to the digital trunked channels only get portions of the conversations on your scanner or app?

Looks like black friday at Toys-R-Us.

Don't try it please. If you intentionally answer the application wrong to get a HCP it can come back and bite you. And that won't just be bye bye HCP. I have seen it happen once.

Legal for Me to Carry on the Property of a Felon?
Pain103 replied to luvmyberetta's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If it's on your person their is no way for someone other than you to have possession or constructive possession. You are in no violation by carrying because your aren't the felon. -
I think some of the ideas behind the GDL (graduated driver's license) were good but I don't think it has helped with the young driver's safety or ability to operate any better. That falls on the teens and the parents. I somewhat think the limitation on juveniles in the car would be less distracting. But I guess you could be distracted the same with two adults yapping the same as two minors in the backseat.

My buddy this was about 2 years ago. He has a little more gray now but he is still a ball fetching fool.

Oh I'm with ya. I'm no saying the kid should have hit her but I could have understood it better if she was hitting him and he reacted with a punch or something. He waited and stood up acting like he was hard then threw a shot on her. That's just revenge not defense.

Yep, about January 2014 we started getting Mexican heroin routinely again. All users were former pain pill addicts mostly oxycodone/oxycontin. The Mexican cartels have flooded it up and it isn't that expensive compared to a oxymorphone was going for between $50-$75 a pill. That $50 will buy you a longer high of heroin. But there seems to be more overdoses on it that nobody hears about. These clowns haven't learned they can't shoot a whole bunch of that stuff without taking a permanent nap. Even better was the ones claiming to be rehabilitated but hooked on suboxone/subutex replace one drug for another thanks to a doctor, like a patch for opiate addiction.
