You would need to look at TN state jobs on the state's human resources website. I'm sure they have several mechanics on top of using TDOC inmate workers. I'm pretty sure the mechanics aren't THP specific but work for Dept. of General Services.

I think you got bit by auto correct.

Sheriff's employees may have profited during ammo shortage

I would like to read the affidavits from the search warrants. As it stands it sounds like at most they may have an ethics violation which isn't a criminal violation. But when you get agencies with three letter names involved all sorts of stupid stuff starts happening. Either way I think he will be in a new job come election after all this and a group trying whatever they can to dig something up to smear him. -
You could use a taser when you can't use a firearm. They are not even considered the same level of force. If you can use OC spray in self defense you could use a taser/stun gun. If you get some sort of ECW I would advise against a stun gun. Any thing you have to physically keep contacting the bad guy with while fighting won't work well. I've been there with tasers trying to drive stun while fighting they just move and you loose contact. You need something that discharges probes. You need to keep distance to get a good spread or you don't get good neuromuscular incapacitation and have to basically follow up with a close stun to complete a circuit across muscle groups.

He can legally burn a flag if he wishes but I think he did it to get attention. He is getting some attention alright maybe not the kind he wanted.

Didn't this happen in 2013? Did it happen again or is someone just trying to hype people up again. EDIT: I did some searching and it was proposed in 2013 by the same person and went nowhere. I'm sure it's the same bill. For Sam1 the exemption was for firearms purchased for use by LE departments not just joe blow who has a badge doesn't get taxed. But the last bill wanted to require you to prove insurance before a purchase. What a crock of shat. Odds it won't make it anywhere again and even if it did I'm sure it would be ruled unconstitutional.

http://www.1800donatecars.com/. I just remember the Heritage for the Blind commercials from the radio. Don't know anything about them but if you are just trying to offload the vehicle it may work for you.

Well when you hit one with a car and then back up again over it that tends to happen.

As much as it be far fetched it isn't the gov's fault the company wants money for a product. You could always go to a library if they have the TCA and read them. The State of TN doesn't print them or send them out LexisNexis does and they charge money for the books and the yearly additions to keep updated.

No link unfortunately. You have to actually read it in the book. The large law books the complete sets you see usually in an attorney's office or police department containing all the subsections and some court ruling formation. So one law make take multiple pages in a book. It's crazy but they don't post it all on the free site but I know LexisNexis has some of those books online pay to download.

Now they show it for $884.

The actual expanded TCA (big book version) says 35% VLT on front windows of any vehicle. A multi passenger vehicle (vehicle with a rear seat or 2nd row or more can have below 35% on the windows rearward of the front seat. So single cab trucks can only have 35% on all windows. As far as the shade band only the factory shade band can go to 70%. Also the VLT, consist of the tint film amd the window frosting so a factory window is typically not 100% and when you apply 35% film you will be below the legal limit.

Would it help to do your range with a local PD? I could probably get you set up.

Did you retire from an out of state agency? If you didn't why would you even bother with the state just go through your agency yearly like you were still there to qualify and they should issue you a retired credentials that should cover the LEOSA requirements. If you did come from out of state or even moved across the state you should be able to qualify under someone's post approved range class it would appear.

I would be leery of doing anything to an animal on federal land or even a state park. Just notify the park ranger and let them make the call so you have no issues.

You should be fine. If you are concerned about possibly being the only woman I know some places offer women only classes and even have female instructors. Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. No need to be worried it should be informative and fun. -
Possibly moving to TN, need some advice on laws

In Tennessee we have a Handgun Carry Permit. This allows you to carry any pistol loaded on your person, open carry or concealed. You can carry a loaded firearm in your personally owned vehicle in the state as long as you not prohibited by law from possessing it. When you move down here go ahead get the process started to get your HCP and get your license swapped over too. Good luck on your journey. Oh yea stock up on some mags never have enough of those. -

That's from 2009. 20/20 were trying to push their view. -
The best I could understand of the wildlife laws it probably could be considered destroying an animal but it is TWRA's function to put down injured deer. With their limited numbers and locations many years ago I believe they had asked the local departments to just handle it. I've never seen anybody given any problems for putting a deer down humanely. It will save me paperwork and having to locate my spent casing to to file with the paperwork like I just shot a human. It is what it is and deer and other animals have to be put down. I don't even hunt but I bet over the past 5 years I've killed just as many as some hunters due to crashes and one coyote. The coyote was actually a funny story because people were petting it thinking it was a dog.

By weeding through some links the statement seems to say it was four swat team members not the actual swat team. This wouldn't be unheard of as most departments don't have and can't justify a full time swat team. They were probably patrol officers that are also on the swat team. They arrive and finish it up maybe?

Alarms are fine but make sure there is an audible alarm that goes off when it is tripped. I tell you one thing I have seen many people overlook that is locking the door from the garage to the house. I've seen a few burglaries where entry was made that way. Most are back doors forced open. If you have a door that isn't able to be seen from the road reinforce it.

Doesn't really matter who did the deed as long as the threat was neutralized.
