1. I've seen bobcats but its always brief. Usually crossing a road then gone. Anyone know how to age bobcats? Young? Never imagined that was possible. Maybe rescued by a human as a cub?
2.
Never seen that kind of crimp before. Is this their new style?
I think the true term is staked. Found in military but also AR specific ammo. Same purpose as old crimp meant to keep primer from backing out during automatic loading.
3. I'm gonna get a swager. I have 600 old crimps I have to get rid of. Do you like the RCBS? I was thinking about a Dillon
4. You can buy railed top sections for that mount from SWFA, look under mounts by brand. They have and angled one as well. $10 I think.
5. If I thought it'd help, I'd do it....naked even :D
6. I think so, from what google-fu I can find. Seems to be easier to siege than previous versions but still needs to be removed.
7. Well when I can find(and afford) my Noveske barrel I'll let you know. ;)
8. Interesting. I have bought this same brand/type before and they didn't have this. No big deal just extra work. I'll let you know Bert, thanks.
9. I bought a 120 rd box of American Eagle AR556 at Walmart. Never seen this before of LC brass. What's it about? Will it affect reloading?
10. This is my thinking. Obviously the suppressor will be a little while out, and I can't afford S&B glass. But this is the look I'm going for. Good hunting/SD SBR. I will probably part out my current .300 to build this one on the SBR lower and then build the old recievers into something else.
11. Awesome thanks for the info. As for engraved lowers. You just engrave it with the city you lived when submitting the paperwork?
12. So as always I'm debating submitting NFA stuff. SBR and maybe a suppressor. So with current wait times it's almost certain that me and my wife will be moving before the paperwork is finalized. We may stay in-state but there is a possibility of moving to another state. Besides the items being legal in the new state of residence what are other concerns to consider for change of address during the process? Would a trust help?
13. That will fit right in with Mac's "pimp" lifestyle
14. Ron Williams of RMW Extreme builds custom DI pistol uppers. 9, 40, 10, 45, 7.62x25
15. 135gr 10mm :D If I did a pistol caliber I have decide it will be 10mm
16. I'd buy one in the $1800 range. Of course cash dependent. I love the SR556, I would assume this would be of equal quality.
17. What about 15.8gr of A#9? Is that enough?
18. Anytime. They have a two box limit so their ammo lasts a little while. I think trucks come on Sundays and Wed.
19. Well considering they are listed at $259, and on sale for $189. Anything less is a great deal. Let us know when it arrives. If you don't like it I'll give ya $100 for it :D
20. I'm sorry for your loss Robert. I dread that day we all will face when our little furry pals pass away. Hope you feel better buddy.
21. I believe Robert Silvers did tests on twist rates as fast a 1:4.5" without problems. I don't think the .300 pushes the bullet fast enough to cause separation. However if you try to shoot long range (300yds) you may see failure of the bullet to "nose down" do to the too fast twist; this is all hypothetical though as I don't think it has been tested.
22. Leo Laporte has recommended it for years. I'm no computer geek but I like his radio show and he wouldn't pimp it unless it was good.
23. You need to get something other than Norton. It's the worst antivirus software on the market, just about as close to nothing as possible. I'd recommend ESET NOD32
24. No,no, no.... pistol Caliber, Ya know 9mm, 45Acp :D
