1. Good info, I was unaware the gas pad was that size. Do you know why they are that way? Seems unnecessary.
2.   So Noveske, Shilen/Rainier use whats called a modified Polygonal, where the lands are angled which reduces the leading of the barrels.  I also emailed Rainier and they said lead is perfectly fine, it just may take a little more elbow grease to clean.  Plus, unless you are shooting hundreds and hundreds of rounds at one outing without cleaning the chances of problems are miniscule.
3. find a spot, sit down and dont move.  The deer will be forced up and moving by the rush of activity.  no better chance moveing than just staying still, plus you might not get shot
4.     Yep, I do think CMMG makes a 16" pistol gas now.  I also noticed that all the Noveske barrels on Rainier Arms are pistol gas regardless of length
5. post pics of the area, trees, stumps etc.  Maybe I can offer more of an opinon.  try to show distance from powerline.  actually measure from centerline to tree if you can
6. Well you can blame this one on the .GOV,  Utilities companies are now held resopnsible for down powerlines.  They can be fined "by the day" for any disruption in service regardless of reason.  So any vegetation that could possibly fall and distrupt transmission are being cut down or trimmed back.    Red Oaks are a very short lived tree 90-150 years at most.  20-24" trees at breast height (4.5' above highest ground level) are definately good size trees, but not uncommon.    Value depends on how much clear wood is in the tree, i.e. how may 16 foot sections without signifiant limbs.  Chances are two trees, as far as timber value, wouldnt be worth more than $200 and thats being generous.  Now their intrinsic value can be infinite but there is no way to quantify that.    We often do damage appraislals and the land owners are always disappointed when they find out how much the timber isn't worth, and then they have to pay our fee for the work which is $65/hr.  We had a client call that had 15acres clear cut, intentionally, by the neighbor and the total value of timber was estimated at $10,000 and that was over 150 trees.   No way $10,000 would replace their timber as far as asthetics and intrinsic qualities, but thats all there is to go by.  Its a raw deal anyway you shake it
7. I think you can shoot lead through them just fine. Noveske uses polygonal rifling and I was told leading was not an issue. I'll have to look into it and see if I can find a source for that
8. Rainier Arms had some in stock a couple days ago. Good barrels. https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=3390 I bought my last one from Alpha Shooting Sports, its been great. Currently out of stock, so I dont know when they'll have them again http://www.shop.ar15hardware.com/105-300-Blackout-pistol-barrel-ALP105300BOCM.htm
9. I was there at LES at about 11am today. Same time as analog_kidd. Spent more time talking to Mike than actually transfering the recievers but to say the least, great service.
10. When I worked for the forest service we would break our chainsaws down for cleaning all the way to the clutch plate.  The drive socket is held on by an E-clip.  Whe called the "Jesus" clips, cause thats what you yelled when they went flying into oblivion.
11. Well it does include the modified BCG which is necessary for this to function. So that should account for at least $150....but still a little in the high side.
12. Nice. That BCG will look bad ass in those receivers. What brand is the BCG?
13. Oh thanks for the heads up.
14. Well maybe he just hasn't got to me yet. Thanks for the info. I'll be there for sure.
15. Did you get info that he has them ready? I talked to him yesterday and they hadn't arrived yet.
16. I wasn't sure if they did that work or not. If so, they'd be me top recommendation.
17. I think Gunslinger's in Kingsport does that kind of work.  Otherwise I would just call the major dealers and inquire.  Ive never had any work done in the tri-cities.    Jims Gun Shop on Watauga Road between JC and Elizbethton is supposed to do really good work, but I hear his people skills may be lacking.  Its a little shack, blink and you'll miss it
18. Should be in this week
19. Very thankful.  I will keep you in our prayers
20. show off....you just wanted to post a pic of your assembled lower
21. Prayers. Nothing else I can say or do. May God help you through this struggle.
22. Do you have a phone that can text pics?
23. Did that come in the mail?
24. I was gonna try to wait it out until tomorrow. Glad you asked though, I am anxious
25. Are you saying dialysis isn't a viable option?
