I'll jump in. I love the MEGA billet set. I'm thinking of trading my TGO upper and getting a mega. I'm gonna have my set Ceramic coated and it will cover the TGO logo anyhow.
I reckon he knows EXACTLY how big this has become. You don't become a multi-millionaire business owner by NOT being aware of all social media. The 'character' he plays on the show is exactly that: A character.Sent outta my ass by flying monkeys.
I disagree. I think that's Phil. What you see is who he is.

Considering trading away an indebted vehicle
Lumber_Jack replied to GlockSpock's topic in General Chat
I wouldn't look at net present value of the investment of the car. What's done is done and what's spent is spent. Going forward I'd dump the car for as much extra cash as you can. Get a less expensive car, pay it off and run the wheels off of it. I would even consider a car you could pay cash for until you reach you other goals of being out of debt. The less money you sink into that car loan the better off you'll be. It depreciates faster than its worth. My father-in-law told me last night. "The cheapest car you can buy is the one you already own." Meaning buy cheap and repair it. It's less expensive than buying a new one. -
Yeah but Cabellas would probably ship it this century

FWIW the Strikefire comes with a screw in 2x magnifier. its nice for shooting out a little further. I use the maginier often

Ive never met Phil, but Ive met several "Phil's" in my time. I have a feeling he isnt loosing much sleep over this. If he is Id be suprised. he's been through much more difficult times than this. If you havent seen this, its what he stands for. I strive to be as stong in faith as he http://www.iamsecond.com/seconds/the-robertsons/

Its the best value in red dots. and at that price its a down right bargin. For HD I would think an Eotech would be better just for wider field of view, but you are talking $350 MORE dallars. you wont be disapointed with the strikefire, its a great little red dot.

Thats a screamin deal. I paid $149 way before the panic stuff. As long as shipping isnt $30, this is the cheapest ive seen it anywhere http://www.cabelas.com/product/Vortex-StrikeFire-Red-Green-Dot-Scope/753526.uts?productVariantId=2798347&WT.tsrc=CSE&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=753526&rid=40&channel=GoogleBaseUSA&mr:trackingCode=169D9052-F5D2-DF11-82EF-001B21631C34&mr:referralID=NA&mr:device=c&mr:adType=pla&mr:ad=30640536311&mr:keyword&mr:match&mr:filter=47538480505&gclid=CM3epp63vLsCFU5o7AodgwMAzw&gclsrc=aw.ds

I would be floored if Willie and the Family decided it was OK to film without Phil. The whole family preaches they all are followers if Jesus. Last time I checked Phil didn't wrote the Bible he just quoted a verse. A quote from GQ that's not repeated often. "We never, ever judge someone on who's going to heaven, hell. That's the Almighty's job." "We just love 'em give 'me the good news about Jesus - wether they're homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort em out later. -Phil Roberston
Better link....http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/12/18/end-line-for-lead-bullet-regulations-bans-force-switch-to-green-ammo/ BTW, I read last week that most bullets are manufactured from recycled lead and the industry does not see this as a huge impact....in the short term (my thought) I don't know who to believe anymore but I'm sure this will start yet another run on ammo.
That's what I heard. Lead for bullets isn't sourced from those smelters anyhow. I think it's a case of a news org writing about something without finding the facts. Of course the .Gov switching their ammo would change the whole game regardless.
According to this story the victim was shot three times in the back. So much for self defense. http://www.wkrn.com/story/24239205/road-rage-incident-leads-to-attempted-murder-charge
So far no claims to self defense have been made. I'd say temporary insanity would be more defendable.
It sounds like the suspect forfietd any claim he had to self defense when he exited his home to shoot an unarmed man that was not on his property and not making any threatening gestures.
Well to be fair. We don't know if any "gestures" were made or not. Or threatening words, or anything similar. I still don't believe it's justified shooting but there is a lot of information that hasn't been released.
There you go. I trust that lots more than the ramblings of some media goober. Like has been mentioned before, either side could have prevented it if they weren't so busy being stupid.
Yeah. Following a car to their residence is never a good idea. It doesn't seem like a justified shooting in any sense of the phrase, but sound minds were not prevailing by any party.

My wife is having outpatient surgery at 1pm today to repair her nose that was broken in our car wreck earlier this year. Simple procedure to help her breath normally again, but anytime anesthetic is involved its a risk. Prayers are appreciated.

Cancer victim booted from Mortons for not removing his hat

I can't believe no one has started a "wear a hat in Morton's" protest. Sneak them in and all put them on at the clock strike of 8 :stir: -
Didn't realize the thread was started last month. My point remains for others who will read the thread.

I would still wedge the back. Two wedges, one on each side of the piece you leave in the back. Remember wedges aren't only for set back. Trees twist in the stump all the time. If the hinge wood isn't perfectly straight, or your lean isn't as even as you think, or if there is a rotten spot. I've seen heavy lean trees spin 180 on the stump and fall 45 degrees to the lean. It's your tree and your house, but I'd still wedge. Be sure the saw is big enough to run the bar efficiently. At least Stihl 440 or 460. Good luck, take a video

For those loading 300 Blackout
Lumber_Jack replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Went to the Manchester gun show yesterday, afraid I might have caught another virus. The 300 BLK one. Probably wouldn't even have considered it if I didn't already have the 7.62 suppressor, and I do reload. Everyone looking for short barrels will you SBR them or just build pistoles? What twist would be best for suppressed, any other specials to look for? The 139.00 16" alpha barrel looks very reasonable.
You're already in the NFA game I'd SBR a 9" or 10.5" barrel. 1:7 or 1:8 twist depending on bullet weight. Anything over 220grain and I'd go 1:7. Either should work good though. -
