Over 100K of .22LR.......................
Lumber_Jack replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Sure, Sportsmans Warehouse. Now that I've spilled the beans, I'm sure every re-seller scum like jones will be showing up. I'll be looking for a Marion County tag starting next week. Bill
It obviously wast a huge secret anyhow. At least maybe a TGOer can get in line. Plus I'm sure a good 50% of those 50 people in line we're resellers. -
Over 100K of .22LR.......................

Any interest in sharing the location? -
I really love the game. I love the scenery and just generally feel good on a golf course. I've learned to meter my expectations and just have fun regardless. Although having lessons has helped and I hope to get some more soon.

I know it's been mention before but Whittakers Guns in Owensboro Ky has some real good deals on ammo. They mainly list their incoming shipments on Facebook but for those that don't do FB you can call and ask for what you need. I just got a case of .300 BLK 220gr for $176 to my door, free shipping. That's about .88 per round which for factory ammo is really good. Anyway just thought some may need to check them out.

I love to play, but I'm still learning. Took some lessons and I have improved but still my game needs lots of work. I'm not good enough to have traveled too much for golf. I'm always up for a round if anyone ever wants to play with a hack like me.

Latest Class III: Guesses on Wait Time
Lumber_Jack replied to Semiauto's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Used eforms to submit Form 1 for my future SBR. Confirmation email received & $200 tax stamp payment shows as pending in my trust's checking account.
How did the system work? -
Actually, I don't like the Seekins very much. I have one on my .300blk. The problem is the adjustment screw is on the reciever side, which makes it impossible to adjust with the rail on regardless of how large the holes are. If I were wanting to make adjustments for taking a suppressor on and off or ammo changes I'd go with a Syrac Ordnance Gen II or an SLR rifleworks. Both use spring retention inside the block to create clicks when you turn the screw. Both are over a $100 tho, so I'd have to determine a true need for field adjustments.

Form 1 & Form 4 back in 4 months.

If this is the new normal, I might go NFA broke. The only thing holding me back before was the long wait -
I have that very same Kies adjustable block on my 16". I use blue loctite. It won't move unless you want to adjust it. I just count half turns from closed to the setting I want. Remove the screw completely, apply loctite, reinsert screw to close and open with appropriate number of half turns. Allow to dry.

Remember when these were $149 at Walmart? Anywho, good deal there. I did see the same 62 gr ammo can at Walmart for $179 which is down from the most recent $199

open question for Dolo Might and 300 blk owners
Lumber_Jack replied to Ron Padilla's topic in Long Guns
I had 2 primary reasons for building it, one for the short range knock down power, and hope it works well during deer season for 200 yards and less hits, and the request of my youngest son, he thought it would be cool to own one, so I didn't have a problem with it. so come deer season I hope that it will bring us some food to eat, as for the ammo I just obtained one of the mini saws along with a jig yesterday and can start to cut and work my own brass. Thanks and keep the responses coming.
If you need a box of factory ammo let me know. I have some. Both subsonic and supersonic ballistic tips. The supersonic ballistic tips work just as well as the .300 savage I've used for years. Just know your limits distance wise. I shot a doe 50yards. Entrance hole in lungs was about the size of a quarter exit hole about a half dollar. She ran about 40 yards. -

I can see them not doing it out of ignorance of the law, but I sure hope they would. Like DaddyO said, its a market they're missing if they don't. SMKW is a unique store, they have Vendor booths manned by rotating staff, sometimes you'll get a knowledgeable employee, sometimes they don't have a clue whats going on. -
I'm being a contrarian for sport, I really don't care that much. As long as we win in November ;)
I've taught undergraduate classes at Vandy. Athletes took my class along with normal students. Well, as normal as engineering students can be. :)
Of course. Some athletes are smart, but some, especially physically gifted ones, get a pass. Franklin specifically recruited some non-academic stars
I welcome you to disprove it.
That's a silly statement. I can't physically disprove it anymore than you can prove it. But whatever helps you sleep at night.
Why can't you? They are held to the same academic standards as any other student.
You really believe that or are you being funny? How have they faired the last couple decades? I'd venture to say y'all should cherish the Dooley years, they appear to be gone. Honestly I'm glad Vandy won I just can't openly root for them, it's against all that's good and holy.
Their athletes are literate. That's something foreign to UT fans.
That's debatable. Their athletes get free passes just like every other institution. You can't extrapolate the institutions academic standards onto the athletes. Two separate entities. Anyhow Vandy still sucks
