  1. Do we have to have a paper copy of our license if bought online. I have a digital on my phone that's available without signal? Guess I should figure this out before hunting or fishing again.
  2. Haha not quite. You remove as much as you can with skinning first. It's only a thin layer of flesh. But yes you need a good outdoor space to complete this task
  3. I saw a guy on the outdoor Channel use a pressure washer to blast the flesh off the skull. It seemed to work well. He said it saved the mess of boiling the skull
  4. UT plays Rock, Rap, and Bro Country. I'm not annoyed by it, it's just marketing like any other. When the tastes of young people change so will the music. I made the statement to my buddy at the game yesterday, that I wonder how long until the band is phased out. No one listens. I'm all for keeping it but it seems like it will fade over time. UT's last band director left because he was in conflict with the Athletic Dept over how much stereo music is played vs Band Playing.
  5. Yeah I figured. I wasn't sure why they walk though. Is this an issue with the pins, the holes? Has it always been an issue. Is it an issue on military issue weapons?
  6. So, my trigger pin in my AR keeps walking out. It's from a Rock River LPK and it's walked in both my Spikes and now my TGO lower. I've ensured the the legs of my hammer spring are on top of the trigger pin. Is there a chance the pin is out of spec?
  7. The number of deer dead on the highway has no bearing on herd health. Also it varies from county to county. Also, deer management on a landscape level is difficult. Especially when you have a finite number of harvesters. You just have to find the best middle ground. As far as the license, Tennessee does have an Annual Sportsman package for $136. But for people like me who don't bow hunt or muzzleloader it's cheaper to buy it 'al la carte'
  8. Those who want a longer rifle season and to use these single shot rifles have to realize TWRA is managing the resource. If we extend these seasons and make it easier for more people to kill more deer, the resource will be depleted. Would I like to hunt the first two weeks of Nov with a rifle...hell yes, is it good deer management, No. And I know TWRA has their flaws but in the end they are trying to manage deer populations, and fund it through license sales.
  9. The lower end models are made in Brazil, the upper level are American.
  10. That voice-over in the video was so horrendous I won't buy them just on principle.
  11. I think my wife lives in a perpetual state of discontent due to my facial hair. I compromise and agree to not wear it like this
  12. Mini Mags are 1235Fps and AR is 1200fps. So they are technically different but I have heard that they are as reliable as mini mags. I think the nose profile may be slightly different
  13. I do not approve
  14. Don't let them win. I like beards, craft beer, alt country and plaid shirts. We had it first, dammit
  15. Yeah that's the epitome of hipster. Trendy beard, check...trendy hair, check, trendy clothes, check...so douchy you take a "mirror selfie" and post it....check.
  16. 15 years ago, Cabelas made a point to NOT build within certain distance of a Bass Pro, citing they were afraid it would conflict with business. I guess they figured there are enough rednecks to go around for both stores.
  17. Academy Sports in Clarksville had at least 20 boxes of this for $23.99. I have look at any other Academy stores
  18. That's Curt Maggit, he's a really nice, very smart and responsible guy. I give him the benefit of the doubt. Looks like depth gives him clearance as the instructor is a few feet in front of Curt. I don't know the rest
  19. Haha. I like egg nog, I just don't have a good answer for you
  20. Chip Cain through email. Very helpful even when I wanted to make a change at the last minute.
  21. I'm in. Tanto. I have no serial no affiliation
  22. Username has always been included in the past. That way we can browse posts for clues as to what to buy.
