Welcome to the reasoning of the ATF. Without the stock it's considered a pistol, even with a standard buffer tube. -

And stocks on other ARs don't counts as readily accessible. It has to be an extra stock. -

You can assemble everything except the stock. And you cannot have a stock "readily accessible". So just take the stock to a friends house for safe keeping until the stamp comes back. Or if you haven't ordered it yet, just wait. -

Defense to Prosecution bill
Lumber_Jack replied to Capbyrd's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Oops apparently there was already a thread on the subject http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/index.php?/topic/85423-Defense-to-Prosecution-bill -
The simple answer......He is a self absorbed false prophet that has built a cult out of fringe christians, similar to Westboro Baptist. He believe what he preaches, uses the bible out of context to push whatever warped agenda he has that week. He hired an out of work Shock Jock to barter for air time on cable tv. He is no more of a representative of Christ than my dog. The problem is he has biblically sound principles mixed in with a bunch of nonsense. I just choose to not pay people like that any attention.

He is not on our side. Im sure if he could survive it politically he would pass bills that remove gun rights.

Defense to Prosecution bill
Lumber_Jack replied to Capbyrd's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
This post is straight from Todd Rathner with the NFA Freedom Alliance BREAKING NEWS IN TENNESSEE!!! On Tuesday March 10th the Tennessee Senate Judiciary Committee passed the NFAFA's Defense to Prosecution reform bill. SB0181 sponsored by Senator Mike Bell passed by a vote of 7 - 2. Now the bill moves to the Senate floor for their consideration. It's TIME to call your senator and politely request that they support SB0181 when it comes to the floor for a vote. This could happen any day now so if you live, work, or travel in Tennessee call and email them now! You can find your senator here:http://www.capitol.tn.gov/senate/members/ The text of the actual bill is here:http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/109/Bill/SB0181.pdf Reform of Defense to Prosecution laws is important because it makes NFA items 100% legal in the state where we pass it. Progressive presses you can put a powder check die. Most work mechanically and will show if a case is either over or under charged. I used a flashlight and do a visual inspection.

M855/SS109 5.56 Ban!!! AKA Green Tip
Lumber_Jack replied to mcordell's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
The .gov never deals in absolutes, we just have to stay vigilant and send 280,000 comments next time. We can't have the "it failed last time" approach when they try again. -
Welcome. I spent 4 years in Johnson City before we moved to Nashville. I love the TriCities.

I think some of the lure is that we have attachments to the characters from BB and long for more of the story. That's what I enjoy anyway.
