  1. Wild simulated is a good viable option.  If its wild seed, grown in a wild ecosystem the roots will grow and mature exactly the same.  When you go to treating it like a garden and putting miracle grow on it, it grows too quickly and looses the characteristics of wild american ginseng. You must have stratified wild seed, make sure its verified.   I dug some once around an old abandoned house that was obviously planted, (yes I had permission), and I could tell immediately that it was planted.  It lacked the tight growth rings was very light in color, and had many rootlets all over.  It still sold, because I threw it in with a bunch of wild and the buyer didn't cull it out.  Ginseng takes 5-30 years depending on ecosystem to grow to a size worth digging.  you also loose about 2/3 of the weight in drying.  So if you have 3lbs green you will only have 1lb dry (approx) it takes a lot to make a pound, the stuff is very light when dried.
  2. Yep, used to be Aug 15, but moved to Sept 1 a few years ago. It goes through dec 31 but by the last of Oct it's almost all down and impossible to find. If you dig on Cherokee NF you need a permit.
  3.   The last bottle I got from Mike in Knoxville, is down to its last sip.  Definitely replace when I can find it.
  4. Yep, likely cost me this week already. As long as it's not broken he'll be back.
  5. Yeah I'm fine with the rule. I'll see what happens. Definitely lookin like Romo is gonna be out for a long while.
  6. Does a player being injured change the "no drop" status? If not, I may be screwed
  7. I'm up for any kind of meet-up. Shooting or not, I enjoy the events.
  8. For those on the Dave Ramsey plan his general disapproval is not only for the debt load but the unethical way credit card companies treat people. Again this only applies to people who carry debt but there are some true horror stories of out right unethical business that Dave chooses not to participate in. I don't necessarily agree or disagree but it's more than just can you manage to not carry debt.
  9. I have never had a credit card and had student loans and a small car loan a few years ago. I was fortunate(unfortunate) to get a workers comp settlement that paid off all this loans in 2012. So me and my wife lived for 2years debt free. Fast forward to this spring and we had a really hard time getting a mortgage. If it weren't for my wife having MD after her name I'm certain we wouldn't have gotten one, even with the 20% down. I could have (should have) had a credit card years ago preparing. The Dave Ramsey plan works fine if you wait until 50 to buy your first house, or can't have a credit card without running up a balance
  10. Plus the "amounts owed" that is accounted for 30% went to 0
  11. Paid by PayPal
  12.   I'm pretty sure that's standard practice.  check with your homeowners insurance and see if they have any coverage or additional you can buy.  I would get coverage of some kind, but just make sure the policy is worth buying.
  13. Honestly, knowing the area, I think your odds are about the same on either side.  It's more about finding the right areas they are using.  There are quite a few hogs out there.
  14. So it appears SilencerCo is releasing an integrally suppressed pistol built on an M&P CORE that is hearing safe with all ammo, and fits standard length holsters.    http://www.shotgunnews.com/gear-accessories/suppressors/breaking-silencerco-introduces-new-suppressors-and-gear/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=editorial&utm_term=shotgunnews&utm_content=shotgunnews
  15.   I figured that was coming, and most likely the reason "The Syndicate" was scrambling frantically to distance themselves from Dixon and say it was "out of their control"
  16.   I hope this isn't a true litmus test of the direction the forum is going.  I really like this place.  I wish we could talk more guns and less politics.  Not absolutes, just more of the good and less of the  :wall:
  17. I was particularly impressed with their choice to have the hospitals completely devolved to nothingness. 'Cause if the story plays true as resources fail I'd assume the rate of death and conversion would be significantly higher and could go from zero to zombieland in no time.
  18. No I think it's a fair assessment of how it appears on the surface. I sent DS a PM just to stave off any offense that my be drawn.
  19. Well since I'm quoted I guess mine live in immortality. ;) I was speaking in all encompassing generalities including members and admin. I think we all need thicker skin. Sent from my iPad using Voodoo magic
  20. I hope it was more than that, it's getting too damn touchy around here.
  21. Wait EssOne was banned? Man I need to pay attention more
  22. Thanks for that. I had no idea about Gateway.
  23. They Syndicate posted on their facebook page that Dixon has been fired and they "had no knowlege that the correct permits had not been obtained"  Its crazy to me what people will do and then put on national TV.  Its one thing to be a law breaking D-bag, its another to film it and air it nationally.
  24.   I have no personal experience but I've been told to steer clear of there by people who have.
  25. Wow, man that is a generous offer. I'll send you a message.
