  1.   bought my suppressor well over a year ago, maybe two and had to have a TICS run when I was approved and come to take possession.  Not sure how long that rule has been in place.  It was just me though, not the whole trust.
  2.     Thanks for reviewing that.  Someone was referencing the bottom of page 19 of the Final Rule and wondering if that was mentioning CLEO signing or was that part of the new "notification" process
  3. Here is a good summary as we know it today.  Things are obvioulsy open to change and interpretation.     Everything You Need To Know About ATF Rule 41F
  4. So I read " responsible parties" are those who have power to transfer to, or change the trust, so not all beneficiaries. For me that would only be me and my wife. Still a hassle. Probably have until June/July depending on when it gets published. 180 days after that
  5. Yes in the big screwing their appears to be a courtesy reach-around. Everything is seen says the same. All "responsible parties" have to have NICS, fingerprints, and photos. The CLEO will be a notification process.
  6. I have been well pleased with First Tennessee. They hold our mortgage as well. We were with suntrust before this but switched when we got the FT home loan. I was pleased with Suntrust and they were very competitive in the home loan. I like FT because they are a TN bank and have locations all over the state.
  7. I don't criticize the round, I just never liked it much. I chose 10mm. Never found a need for a slower version of the same projectile. Plus with 10, 9mm, and .45 I just don't need another caliber to stock.
  8. Yep. Sell it here. Just as many buyers here as you will find at any gun show. Just pay the benefactor membership and sell away
  9. We may not see eye to eye on some political elements, but we have common ground in this. Take a perfectly good cucumber, ruin it, and the use it to ruin a perfectly good chicken sandwich.
  10. What's the file extension on the maps you downloaded? You should be able to just drag and drop from the pc. For anyone that likes to look at, download tracks or create routes. Expert GPS is a great program. It's $80 a year but well worth it if you like a PC mapping counterpart. It will also send and receive files to you GPS.
  11. I have a summit SS. It's great as far as climbing stands go, but I really don't like it, because it's a climber. I hunt public land pretty exclusively or travel to WV to hunt family land so that limits me to a climber. If I ever get a lease or my own property the climber won't get used.
  12. Yes game wardens can spot check and you have to have your permit. They've been giving warning but I think they are going to start issuing citations in 2016. These ranges have historically been free, forever, and now they're not. I think it's a ploy for TWRA to try and limit range use so they can close some of them. Most officers speak with angst when brining up the rural ranges. Mostly due to the idiots that frequent them. They already restricted use to thur-Sunday on most of them.
  13. Yes that's a new regulation that started sometime in June 2015. It's not been advertised so many might not realize. Some ranges are unmanned and its up to you to buy the permit prior to going to the range
  14. So I found out recently that a $5 permit is required to shoot at any TWRA range. You can purchase a yearly pass for $100. This is regardless of whether you have a hunting license or any other WMA permits. It's additional. https://www.tn.gov/assets/entities/twra/attachments/TWRA_proposed_fees.pdf I'm not sure how they classify a Tier 1,2 or 3 range. I just know that the ones on State Forests are now required permits, and it turns out all now require permits.
  15. I really want to start commuting to work by bicycle. It's completely doable I just need to nut-up and do it. I need a few warm weather accessories but other than that it's not much. It's a bit far,10miles, but I can do that in 40-45mins. We'll see how it goes.
  16. Yes, got mine too. Thanks for hosting. I had fun, I will definitely look forward to playing again next year.
  17. Do not approach elk. I believe it's illegal to be within 50 feet of one in Tennessee.
  18. PayPal is good for me. Do you need me to send my email?
  19. Yes National park is same as the state which it resides. So if you drive to the NC side check those laws.
  20.     don't worry the bag of dog shit is already in the mail
  21. Bobs Liquor, 220 N Winston Rd, Knoxville, TN 37919
  22. Oh damn, that one, Yes you can see elk there. Plan to go early or late. The cooler it is the better, and if its overcast that can help too. So that will take about 2 hours from downtown Gatlinburg to the Tower at Royal Blue. I would definitely look at driving into the Cataloochee Valley in the GSMNP. Its essentially like Cades Coves with Elk and less people. You drive out to I-40 head East to exit 20, go right, .2 miles turn right on Cove Creek Road and then follow that for 11 miles and it will dump you into a valley with mowed pasture fields and high chances of seeing Elk. I would go there 10:1 vs going to the tower at Royal Blue. One main reason is Royal Blue is a WMA and it will be hunitng season PUBLIC hunting. The other is I feel pretty strong that you have a higher chance of seeing Elk in Cataloochee. And if you don't you've seen some of the prettiest scenery in the GSMNP
  23. Honestly most of the Elk live in the Cataloochee Valley across the NC border, which is not close to Gatlinburg.  Is there an advertised "Elk Viewing" area near Gatlinburg?
  24. Daisy ready for Christmas dinner
  25.   I felt really good after last the first round of playoffs, I just had some real duds in my lineup these last two weeks
