  1. Yeah I know, but they get much more technical on gunsmith for 1911, where TGO is spread accross all platforms. And dont think you wont see some of the same screen names from here on there!
  2. Got this range bag for Christmas last year and love it. One problem though was that the shoulder strap would loosen completely when the bag was loaded. This would cause it to hang down to my knee. Well I saw on a thread that Midway was replacing shoulder straps. So I called them, they looked up the transaction ( even though it was a gift from my mother) and sent me a new strap. So all is well, If anyone has this same problem call them and they will make it right. +1 for Midway USA

  4. I have a huge roll of "crime scene" flagging left from a Timber Theft investigation years ago. I saw a mention of making a safety line for the range. I'll bring if yall want.
  5. i have a DM Bullard body gaurd (OWB) and construction is very nice, I wouldnt hesitate to get his Dual Carry! I assume you are talking all leather, I have a Comp-Tac M-Tac wich is half leather half kydex, and I love that thing, very comfortable
  6. Bump, cause its important
  7. yeah, I still carry my Kimber 4", I even stood in line in front of a Knox Co Deputy at chic-fil-a 'print' and all. If they dont post properly its not illegal, even to open carry. The most they can do is ask you to leave.
  8. well to answer my own question I went by there last night. And Erik88 is correct I did not see any posted signs at any entrances except to the Regal Movie Theater, which appeared to be a standardized sign from Regal, but it is VERY small. I have been there several times and carried because I did not see the sign. However there is a Code of Conduct on the side wall of the main entrance, #7 on the list is no weapons including firearms and knives. This does not constitute a legal posting so Im going to carry there until they follow the law.
  9. I saw some discussion on this in another thread. I have been in there many times and have not seen posted signs, however I enter through the Sears entrance almost exclusively. Anyone seen signs on other entrances?

  11. Looks much better after tomorrow Im about 80%, There
  12. The Poster says "carrying a dangerous weapon is prohibited .....unless on official buisness". What if I "officially" dont want to get my ass robbed, does that count?
  13. I like Hornady XTP in my Kimber 4", I also like Hornady Critical Defense FTX it has a polymer fill in the hollow point that helps prevent FTF. I also like all the others listed, Golden Saber, speer gold dot, in respective order. Most of the Hornady stuff can be found for about $20 for a box of 20 which for SD ammo isnt bad
  14. haha, yeah thats my thumb, he was so fat and squirmy that was the only way I could keep ahold of him
  15. My name is Neil, here I am NOT shooting something in Montana
  16. +1 good observation!!!
  17. As a reputable buisness owner I think you have a responsiblity to offer a fair price. Like Rick of Pawn Stars says, here is what its worth, here is what I can offer because I need to make money. If its hadled like that then its up to the owner to make their own discission. If its portrayed that $100 is all its worth and thats not true, then I think we portray the buisness as unfair. If they offer $100 because they dont really want the gun, then thats they're right. This is just a normal gun shop not an antique or relics specialist, I would think it would be hard for them to unload the gun for a proffit.
  18. Im looking for a new knife for EDC work/self defense. I like these two most. SOG Aegis Tanto Zero Tolerance Scavenger 0400 I like both knives, but The SOG is AUS-8 steel and the ZT is S30v I can do without the serrations but its not a deal breaker the SOG has a Zytel handel and the ZT has an alluminum, I like the light weight of the SOG. The pocket clip on the SOG is bayonet style (complete hidden) and the ZT leaves quite a bit exposed. SOG = $75 ZT = $120 These are the points Im debating, what are yall's opinions.
  19. best advice I've read here yet, get her a 1911 in .38 super, its not a 9mm and its not a 45. And best yet, its not .40

  22. Thanks, yeah I should have been a little more specific, Im looking for like 5/8" or 3/4"
  23. yeah its really too bad about how the market works sometime. We dealt with the same thing, people held on to there timber until they needed the money. It just turns out the market was so far depriciated that it wasnt worth cutting. We told lots of people unless your going to be foreclosed on, just hold out untill the market rebounds otherwise your going to lose your ivestment you've been holding onto all this time.
  24. haha, no we just make sure the loggers are following the law and not ripping off the landwoner. Most landowners have no idea what their timber is worth so when a logger offers $25,000 to cut they think, "wow that alot of money". But in reality that timber could be worth 2, 3, 4 times that amount. Plus we decide what gets cut on a basis of forest health and prolonged income, vs what can be made all at once. You could get $100,000 dollars for 300 acres of timber but may not get to cut there again for 100years, or you can scale back and cut less and be able to cut again in 10 years or less. Thats not to say that all Loggers are crooks because they are most certaily not, but there are a lot that are, and without a timber evaluation you dont know how to tell who is who. BTW Lets not confuse FORESTER with HIPPIE, we are for cutting trees, we just want to have a plan!
