  1. But gaining more support from whom? Do you think people would see this and call there reps and demand gun control? All this gun control legislation being introduced now is just political posturing, I don't believe it's going anywhere. Now on the contrary is an OC event going to gain us any support, maybe, maybe not. But I don't think it would bqe threatening our right to carry buy doing so
  2. If I Recall Correctly
  3. I don't see why something like this could hurt. Its certainly not going to make the anti-gunners come any harder, they are full bore as-is. I like this idea, community service while carrying, I'd be in for that
  4. Fisher was a good coach, I know they don't go to the superbowl every year but not many coaches have that types of reputation. The question now is who do we get thats better?

    IS $599 TO HIGH

Is it new or used. May be a little on the high side. Check out gun broker, you will see prices from 450 to 550. Are you buying it from a shop or an individual
  6. we have been several times with my wife and outlaws. We have stayed at Port Orleans, Polynesian, and contemporay. I really liked the Polynesian, but of course that is considered a Delux Resort. I would definiltey recomend the Port Orleans, it was nice and you can take a ferry boat to downtown disney if you so desire. I ecco all that was said in post #5. all he said is congruent with my experience
  7. This^^^^^^ this is a horrible idea^^^^^ Your Kimber will be fine with a good mag.
  8. who stocks them
  9. +1 thats who I was going to mention, once I got clarification on the question. Havent seen his stuff in person, but from photos and reveiws, great looking stuff
  10. Im not clear on your question, are you looking for slides and frames only, or a complete hand fit gun?
  11. Carefull, don't shoot that nice tv , good looking targets.
  12. I would buy powder and primers locally, Mahoney's carries reloading supplies as well I've not bought there so Im not familiar with prices. Even if you had to drive to Kingsport, or Elizabethon, you would still be better off than paying the hazmat fees As far as the Hornady LNL bushings, they are designed to make changing dies in a single stage faster. I see where they could be very handy, but I would just stick with the standard for the first couple hundred rounds before you bought something you might or might not want
  13. Why does he need to change the bushing? and if he gets a new one from Metro how is it different than the one that came with the pistol?
  14. If I were a betting man I would say .40 S&W has the highest possibility due to tue very high pressure. I can't see the pic on my iPod can y'all tell what caliber it is?
  15. I would say it's the aforementioned 'clocking' of the extractor. As Tim said the "casing to the head" can be from limp wristing so assuming you have a firm grip it's probably clocking. I would fit a new firing pin stop and see if you have any results. The part is cheap and easy to fit. If you need specific instructions on how to fit the part i can help or PM timcalhoun he has proven very knowledgeable on 1911 repair.
  16. As far as acreage i would agree that you should get at least 20, but would look more in the 50 range. For a 400 yard range 50 yards wide that's 4 acres right there, not counting a safe zone for backstop. If you want to add a woods course, pistol range, cabin, etc I would think 20 should be the min. I would plan for a decent buffer between your range and the property line as well just to prevent conflicts with neighbors. Even if the existing neighbors don't mind you never know who will own that land in the future.
  17. Took my Sprongfield TRP with me to work (Forester) today with the hopes of shooting a few mags at lunch. Well it was raining pretty steady so I decided to pass, but it brought up a interesting question. Does anyone shoot or train in the rain? If so is there any perceived benefit, or any adverse wear on the weapon. Any safety concerns when dealing with a wet gun? My carry gun is a kimber eclipse pro and the TRP is armory kote so I wouldn't think there would be any weapon problems, but just thought I would ask for the sake of askin.
  18. Im pretty sure he wasn't saying that. It was just his general opinion of Airsoft. I however feel that I can differentiate between real world self defense scenarios and playing airsoft for fun. I see no reason you cant take defensive classes and play airsoft for fun. I mean after all its just a game
  19. 9mm 41 Magnum (not many of us here it seems) 45 ACP
  20. So for those of us who have never played, how does a game work? FYI l've never played paintball either.
  21. Also i have seen some in local (to me that is) gunshops and Sportsmans Warehouse that would fit in your price range.
  22. I would just go with something from Galco like this Galco Gunleather -Texas Ranger Strongside Holster $170, plus a plain belt, now if you are looking for a cartridge belt, that's going to cost a lot more. Like another $250. Not a 100% sure what your looking for,
  23. bingo! I am a forester and I tend to leave all snakes alone, but from time to time i have been confronted with a contrary one that impeded my work safety and it had to be dealt with.
  24. No they certainly have, but on a 1911 platform. So I will hold off judgement until I hear range reports. I do like it, can't wait to hold one and here some range test results from non-Kimber people.
