  1. Heard an audio recording from a video a fan shot that day onn the Dan Patrick radio show. The sound overwhelmed the video speaker and you could hear people in the background afterward saying " holy ****"
  2. Ruin what? Gun shows? Are you serious, I don't see how asking them to follow the law is hurting you? And if someone chooses to carry past an sign that doest follow simple guidlines then I don't see how that has any bearing on you either. It's not against the law to carry past a sign that doesn't follow simple rules, if you don't like that i cant help you. I specifically mentioned that I have not carried inside a gun show, apparently you didn't read that part. I own lots of guns and act grown up equally as much.
  3. That was my original question, did they have legal posting signs per Tn law. I have not carried at a gun show because I have been told many times that it's posted. However the last time I went I did not see a posted sign, just one saying guns must be unloaded. I have carried many loaded mags though and never been asked to show them.
  4. Haha Yes, she always asks "what's so funny", then I tell her and she never seems to laugh. Guess you had to be there
  5. You can't see my loaded weapon to ask to see it , that goes to the security as well. I have never once been asked if I had a gun or a magazine.
  6. Hilarious! Literally laughed audibly
  7. Are the postings at gun shows "legal", the last one I went to just had a sign that said "all firearms must be unloaded" that doesn't qualify, does it?
  8. that makes all forgivable
  9. I sent my wife a text message in Dec with some Christmas gift ideas. One was gun magazines. I proceeded to explain that I wanted magazines that hold bullets, not magazines you read. She replied "I know, I'm not stupid", I guess she's a keeper As for the term, I refer to them as magazines 100% of the time, but if someone says they need a clip for their Glock 19 I fully understand their question. No correction needed. As a matter of fact I her the term "clip" used at gun shows ALL the time. I wonder if the orginal GI's still called them clips. How long did it take to consistantly refer to them as magazines?
  10. Willie Nelson! I've played one but not in the classical style, they have a wider neck and tend to be harder for people to learn on, or who have small hands. I like the sound but prefer steel strings for sure.
  11. I store my guns in a wet cardboard box, whats worng with that?
  12. Leroy you have been a fountain of information, with documentation to back it up. I applaud you sir, for informing those of us who need it (badly)
  13. I've been playing for about 15 years now, started when I was in middle school and they needed a bass player for the jazz band. So I started taking lessons and transitioned from 4 to 6 strings in high school. Now I just play for fun. I'm mediocre at best but still love playing. I have a Tacamine G series Acoustic/Electric, a 1973 Fender Jazz Bass, and will inherit a 1963 Gibson ES-335 someday.
  14. I dont open carry unless out in the woods or certain rural situations with work. I was asking simply for the legal knowlege
  15. how would this be posted according to Tennessee law. I have only seen reference to all guns prohibited. If they just put up a sign that says "no open carry" is that legally a carry prohibited local, if you are carrying in the manner mentioned? What if they put up a sign that said "open carry only"? Any insight here?
  16. WELCOME, WHY ARE WE SHOUTING? glad to have you, all kidding aside, all caps is considered shouting, just FYI
  17. Horsehide is stiff enough without it, even bullhide shuld be a lot stiffer than anything you've had before. I carry a 1911 so I would get the stiffener, I would consider the Glock a light carry gun. But you can't go wrong in getting the stiffner just in case.
  18. It is common nomenclature in 2011 to substitute clip for magazine. Ain't isn't a word but most use it synonymously. It frankly chaps my ass to see someone get called out every time they say clip. Does it really matter? P95 is a great shooter, congrats, let us know how you like it
  19. what does this have to do with Events and Gatherings? Just wondering. I would go with the Sig P238, but I carry a 1911 full time so I am accustomed to the thumb safety. I believe a thumb safety on a carry gun must be practiced to the point where it is second nature to deactivate the safety when drawing. If not it can become more of a liability to your safety than a true safety measure. If not I would go with the Khar 380. It can be price prohibitive to some though, I wouldnt hesistate to get the Ruger LCP, I've heard good things. I lean towards the semi-auto because my pockets arent big enough for a revolver, if yours are, then I would surely do as DaddyO said and carry a 38 special
  20. I want a Ti Rant 45 maybe 45short to use on my Springfield TRP, I don't know if it will happen in 2011, but here's to dreamin!
  21. Praying for your son, and know that all things are for the Glory of God. He is the Great Physician, stay strong my friend, in this most difficult time
  22. I have seen Gocks at gun shows for sale with this installed, I immediately turned and walked away. Good luck selling any guns with this installed. I carry a 1911, so I am used to a thumb safety but this is just redicluous. I agree "keep your booger hook off the bang switch"
  23. Vontar, yes, it is closed, depending on how far down Chapman you need to go and at what time should dictate your route. If you are going south of John Sevier or just north, then I would recomend as Bubba said, go down Alcoa and take John Sevier. iF you need to go near the old baptis hospital then you can take Gay St or South Knox Bridge on James White Pkwy. if its during rush hour, 7-9 or 5-7, I would not consider Gay St as a viable option. Let me know if I can help direct you in any way
  24. Sad thing is, that's not unusual for Hazard
