  1. hilarious - "thats your arm cut off above the elbow, no problem"! ummm wake up jackass you arm has a huge bone in it. Gonna be a little tougher than a mailing tube. Erik, noticed several differences, lack of jimping on fake, handle material, size of screws, the fake appears to be a liner lock and original is spine lock. But hey for 5 bucks I'm sure it will make you bleed!
  2. Not in the database. Too bad, I was looking forward to all the public recognition
  3. Guilty! I don't know anything about this topic of which y'all have been speaking. Well, on to google for some answers
  4. Nice. I have one very similar, my dad found under the back seat of a car he bought while stationed in Okinawa back in 1970. I'll throw a pic up later

    Hiking Pistola?

    Oops repeat

    Hiking Pistola?

Bkelm, I hike a lot, although I never have a trail. Begin a forester I am usually in areas where human interactions are rare, therefore lowering the chances of animals being scared off ahead of my arrival. I carry mainly for wild hogs and humans. The hog population is getting very high in some areas, as well as people cookin Meth and other illegal activities. I carry a 4" 1911 .45 and a spare mag. I feel humans could be stopped with something less powerful, but hogs just never seem to amaze me with their resilience
  7. what do you mean by this?
  8. Check out the STI Titan FX 45, it has a flat mate slide and chrome polished frame. Its a compact though, 3.18" barrel. This thread has a good picture http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/48196-my-new-edc.html
  9. The lore of large black cats has been around the southeast as long as man has. There are stories of Native Americans and black cats, hell there is even a Panther Creek State Park, someone had to think there were "painters" in them hills to name a creek Panther. But all the same, until someone shoots one and presents its carcus for all to see I believe its something else "fooling the eyes"
  10. This is what is looks like to me, most eastern native Americans were hunter gatherers, so I don't know how much milling they did. But they definitely worked a lot of hides. But I'm no expert for sure
  11. Yeah, agreed, why not allow fishing?
  12. well that episode made up for the last 2 being kinda slow, I believe the **** has hit the fan
  13. That would be great, its hard to get a feel for these things without handling one. Of course like anything else I'll probably end up with more than one, but no where near as many as Mac
  14. Saw on the local news last night, they had a massive turn out. "the promoters were not prepared for the number of people that turned out, but no one was hurt". Haha I guess it was a success
  15. Mac, I'm looking for a good neck knife, what did you pick up?
  16. He said his goal was to get it under 150db, I thought that seemed a little high, but considering its a 12 gauge 144 seems pretty suppressed.
  17. Well I don't know what the OP saw, but my co-worker will go to his grave swearing that he saw a black panther in Morgan Co, about 2 years ago. Of course no one believes him and he gets really defensive when someone says he didn't see it. I believe him about 75%, but its so unlikely it's hard not to be skeptical. I guess when I see one myself I will beq convinced.
  18. Steroids works through the skin, just ask Barry Bonds. Did you read the description? "DermaCharge just once during a race improved the athletes' power output by 1.21 Jigawatts. And the product has been certified by Informed-Choices to be free of Iocane powder, the controversial, odorless, tasteless powder found to adversely affect endurance performance. " "DermaCharge is designed to stay on for an entire TransPolar expedition - think Shackleton - normal soap will NOT remove DermaCharge - only a 4:1 mixture of seal sweat and salmon scales will remove it. " Hilarious
  19. no offense, just makin a (sort of) joke. There is no evidence that they do anything benificial, or that they don't do harm. I would not wear one. But I also dont like taking supplements and other so called health benifittng products that havent been proven and tested. Thats just me
  20. here is an idea, take that $35 and buy a month membership to the gym, do some core excersises, and I gaurntee your balance will be far and above better than strapping a magnet on your wrist.
  21. I found my TRP on sale at a local shop (Austin's East Tn Firearms) for $1175 out the door. It is a small shop with more special orders and transfers than window shoppers, so check those small shops you never know what you might find in the case thats been sitting there a while. I've also seen some really nice finds at pawn shops, dont be afraid to check em out as long as you know what you're looking for. Keep us posted if you find something
  22. Thats what they quoted on the show, 144db, and then proceeded to shoot without ears on, and laughed at how quite it was. The buyer even shot it without protection and said "wow this is quite" makes me wonder 1 of 2 things. Either its NOT that quiet or their sound test equipment isn't very accurate
  23. Bellman sells Velcro lined. Maybe its not any better but it's not any worse I can guarantee that! Plus I like. Having hand made, attention to detail, leather goods. Thats just me. I do have a Mtac holster that I love also
  24. I'm with the general consensus that they try to act way too hard, and it comes off as really cheesy. I do like seeing the weapons though. And that suppressed Saiga is awesome
  25. Good quality leather is worth the wait!
