I had a set of Dunolp Mud Rovers on my 97 TJ. sidewall said 35x12.50 actually measured 34". But to get an accurate measurement I just measured from axel to top of tire cause the weight will bulge the bottom. Just reaffirming that actual sizes vary from sidewall numbers Good lookin jeep

We had a group fly over our tract but they were USFW. oh and they killed 2 pigs! That's expensive hog hunting. Especially when there are so many willing to shoot them for free. Helicopter hunting does not work well in the heavy tall timber terrain. We're not in Texas.

He has a way of doing that

I don't like that a lot of the challenges are decided by non-shooting physical factors. It's called "Top Shot", not "all around badass". With that said the elimination challenges are usually shooting skills only, so that's at least fair. I do like the show wnd will continue to watch.

I think its rediculous that the red team is called "the losers". Half the red team could have beaten the blue team if the pairings were different. I also hate to see the women leave early, I know there are women out there that could win this competition.

My thoughts exactly.

I have a Condor Tornado drop leg holster that I really like. I'm a forester and spend a lot of time in the woods carrying too much equipment to wear a belt holster. I thought the leg hosted would chafe or rub but it worked great. Might work for you, might not, but it only costs $20 so for that it's worth a try. And it's adjustable to fit any handgun. I've carried a G19, Kimber pro, Springfield TRP, all fit great http://www.airarmory.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=166&name=Condor%20Tornado%20Tactical%20Leg%20Holster

I wear a pair of lacrosse alpha lite 3.5. These are non insulated to o can't speak to warmth but they have been great boots. I am also a forester and I have worn them in all sorts of adverse conditions. They are susceptible to rips on the neoprene uppers. most of the rips I have now are in the outer layer and although look ragged have not affected the waterproofness of the boots. They do get cold when sitting in a tree stand but are great for stalking or long walking. I am going to buy another pair with insulation for sitting still. Know this though, they don't breathe AT ALL, so if you have to do any amount of walking you could have some sweaty feet which could lead to cold feet.

Im cool with that, just give me a bathroom sink and pair of plyers, I'm good

we are still exploring how the 10 person list works with our properties. Its owned by an investment company but still is considered a 'private' ownership. its a big cluster, right now.

Tennessean writing about what police should do with seized guns
Lumber_Jack replied to a topic in Handguns
I agree with DaveTN, I dont think its about the rational of the gun being a tool for crime or not. It's about the public perception of the department. If a gun sold from a police sezuire is used in a crime, that is political suicide for all elected officials associated. I dont think it should be a law requiring a department to sell their guns. I think it should be an option. I am not for making laws forcing people or agencies to do things like this. I believe they should sell the guns, as it is good revenue for the municipality but i see no need for them to have to sell them. Brian, I'd go on the record if you wish, I didnt read all of the thread, so I dont know if the story has been finished or not. -
I love flip flops, I love chacos, but I gaurantee I can outrun 90% of the free world barefoot. especially on pavement pumped full of adrenaline. I might not be able to walk for a month after said event, but thats just collateral damage

we manage 10,000 acres in Fenterss and Overton counties. It is completely overriden with hogs and the population grows every year. Now, not only are our hunt clubs extremely pissed, but now the hogs are going to go unchecked. Because how many hogs can 10 people realy kill on 10,000 acres. Completely assinine

get a map of the Cherokee National Forest, tons of roads, all gravel. I like Hurricane Gap in Greene Co. look for Paint Creek campground on a map, and drive up toward fire tower. Great ride, just an open gravel road, no 4x4 action

shooting hogs as self defense in the GSMNP
Lumber_Jack replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The Park has full time employees whose responsiblity is to remove hogs, aka shoot them. At least this was the case in 2003 when I worked for the Park Service. I doubt one less will cause much of a fuss as long as you were in danger and you yourself did not endanger any other park visitors (which may or may not make a difference) hell chances are, depending on the day, location, and weather, no one may ever know you shot the hog. -
Keep us posted on how it fairs after some more range time.

Coal mining is one of the most strictly regulated industries in our region. Now is there going to be some dirty water run otta that mine? For sure, but there are measures in place to filter that water, and if you're on municipal water it doesn't matter anyhow. And chances of well water being affected is so minuscule it's hard to calculate. I think his point is valid, you're not gonna get cancer because someone re-opens a coal mine in you're county.

The latest incident was not a Glock, it was a hunting rifle. -

Can't see the forest for the trees? Don't let semantics distract you from the **** storm this could stir. -
No I have not shot either as a matter of fact. But have pretty much written of the db9 for the reasons gray stated above. Back is healing slowly but surely…thanks and sorry for you empathy
-
It might not seem like much but there is a noticeable thickness difference. But more important is your point on weight. Even empty the Khar really pulls but the db 9 doesn't…quite possibly a placebo affect though, as I haven't actually carried either

I have the original instructors belt without the insert. I assume that's the 4 stitch. I bought it at greens military in Knoxville. After handling on I determined I did not need the insert…and I carry an all steel 4" 1911.
