  1. Any ideas as to why the remember me login, will not stay logged in on my Safari. I'm using an iPad. It used to work, then one day just stopped and now I have to sign back in constantly.
  2. Have you looked into smooth wood grips. They look slippery and hard to grip, but are quit the opposite. Most of your grip comes from the front strap and mainspring housing. Here are mine on my EDC Of course you would have to change out your mainspring housing but that reactively easy and inexpensive.
  3. Ok, this is just for the shear curiosity. 1)If you have a short barrel integrally suppressed 9mm AR, does that require one tax stamp or two? 2) are integrally suppressed 9mm barrels commercially available for an AR? Sitting on the couch recovering from back surgery and lots of random things come to mind.
  4. I would have been caught off guard as well. Now, is a different story. Glad you posted, it just reminds me that all strangers are a perceived threat. I'm usually very cautious when someone knocks at the door because it happens so seldom. As to the title, Yes, you invade my home, my intent is to protect my home. If that means shooting you, so be it…sex, age, race are irrelevant.
  5. Welcome to the forum
  6. Yeah I think I'm up. Pm inbound
  7. I carry a Kimber daily. It's a 4" Eclipse I bought used for $750. It's a GREAT gun! I plan to come to JeffSig's on sat if I can get cleared by Doctor (back surgery). I will bring my Kimber and Springfield TRP an you can shoot them all you want. Most 1911s you buy are reliable, or can be made that way. I would buy from a source with good customer service, as any 1911 can have issues. Those I recommend are Springfield, Kimber, Metro Classic
  8. What, a mag lite? That's not very 'tactical'. Plus it's supposed to be black, mall ninja 101
  9. I agree, seems like a little extra leather could have solved the problem.
  10. You're reaching a bit here. They took the barrel restriction out because you don't have to have an 8" 44 mag to effectively/humanely kill an animal. As previously mention an Alaskan in .454 would be plenty sufficient. Also it seems this argument defaults to hunting whitetail. Remember there are plenty of other game available to hunt that can be killed with handguns.
  11. I was just getting out of the shower still wearing a towel when I turned on the TV. I sat the whole time in a wet towel staring at the TV. I missed the class I was preparing for at UT. I did go to class later after the towers fell. Sat in the university center cafeteria at lunch with large group of people and someone said we should pray for them. So I volunteered and prayed audibly for all those involved. It was a very powerful and emotional day. I will never forget.
  12. I love .300 Savage. It's such a great round, especially for whitetail deer. However I'm not sure about Elk, I figure it would perform well, but would be limited as to how far you would shoot with it. I'm no ballistics guru though, maybe others can elaborate on it's potential.
  13. "tactical stay puft marshmallow man" Haha, great mental image
  14. I would love to come, as long as I get cleared by the dr. (back surgery). How late is too late to RSVP?
  15. Did they elaborate as to why thy won't work. If 30 rounders work, why not 60?
  16. Never new such a gun existed. Great story, thanks for posting.
  17. Ah good word man, I've been seeing progress. Thanks for the update
  18. Sarge's Grips http://shop.thefinergrain.com/ Has the best custom wood grips for 1911, hands down. He does not checker but he does stippling. I have a set on my EDC and love the non checkered grips. These are Amboyna Burl. He has exotic wood or just standard stuff. Great quality, you really should check them out.
  19. Seems unnecessary and dangerous. Why does he have to stand behind it to prove it's bullet proof? What if the gun man accidentally hits the same spot twice?
  20. She's dual purpose.
  21. And this is why the price will stay high. Too many trigger happy (with money) gear queers out there. They will sell these at this price. I can see their place, and I can see a justified higher price, but that's a bit excessive.
  22. Yeah moved to Sunday to appease the parents with kids who complained about school on days after boomsday. If lived close enough to walk I would be much more likely to attend. Enjoy
  23. It's gonna be a wet evening anyhow. Good show, but not worth sitting in rain.
  24. Greg I'm glad you got your question answered. But to expect no conversation on the wearing and not wearing of seatbelt is kind of naive. You just waved the flag at the bull and got mad at it for charging.
  25. I agree with David. He should have been monitored by his family. Someone had to be negligent to allow him to walk alone with a gun, toy or not.
