Dolomite said the battery life on the Eotech was fractional compared to the Burris fastfire or millet zoom dot. What's your experience?

I believe you are correct If the shoe fits... I didn't say he wasn't a great patriot to whom I am greatful for his service. Nor did I say he didn't know what he was talking about. I said he was a jackass. Go to sportsmans channel/Tac Tv and watch the m203 episode and tell me your opinions

I was really just asking for pure curiosity. I think what I might actually do is buy something I can mount on my ruger 10/22, as it only has irons right now. Then could move to AR once I've procured one. For that I like the Sparc or Burris Fastfire. I actually missed the opurtunity to get on local in the classified section. Oh well I'm in no hurry, birthday and Christmas coming up. Don't worry Dolomite I will call you before I buy anything retail, and thanks for the help.

I think Dirty Zulu wanted in but posted late. After OSs review I think. Just don't want anyone left out.

Sorry for the confusion, and misguided slander.

+1 on the Amreican made comebt by Dolomite. I don't know if you can find one. That aside KWA is a good brand. We bought my 17yo brother-in-law an M4 and a 1911 airsoft pistol. They have been great and function flawlessly. They are about $250 for the rifle and $200 for the pistol (I think) there are less expensive models but just like real guns, you get what you pay for. Yes they do make biodegradable BBs I would google search airsoft and look at the top sites to get a ln idea of cost. A couple of things rifles use batteries and cycle in semi and full auto just like a real gun. Pistols on the other hand are much different. they come in Springer, which means you cycle the slide by hand after ever shot, or blowback which uses either Green Gas or Co2 to cycle like a normal gun. Springers are cheap but not much fun to shoot. Green Gas is the best but most will run you over $100. Here is a good site to browse through. http://www.trinityairsoft.com/ I will say this, shooting the full auto airsoft gun is fun!

So is Cherokee national forest open to hogs or just the WMA portion?

Ohh that guy. I watched that show for the first time this month while being laid up after surgery. That guy is a tool. He was firing a granade launcher and when he hit the target said " hell yeah that's why they pay me to shoot". I mean it's a freaking grenade, not a sniper rifle. Any idiot with enough practice rounds can shoot lob a granada into a 25' group of cardboard. He was such a jackass I had to turn it off, and I was interested in the guns they were promoting too.

We got an Apple Tv from my inlaws so I actually signed up after the price debacle. I only have streaming but have been happy with the service, mostly due to the TV series that I can watch in entirety. I understand they really hurt feelings by doubling their price, as I would be upset if my phone bill doubled. However, If Netflix came out today brand new and offered at their new price I don't think people would be upset. Meaning, I think they were under-charging before.

What tools do you find yourself using on your AR. anything that never gets used? Anything you wish it had it doesn't?

So since ive been off work with back surgery I have nothing better to do than browse the internet and look at stuff. I was looking at optics on Brownells and saw this red dot with pistol style back up sights on top. So my question is, are the sights on top practical or gimmick. Seems to me they would work in a pinch but would be hard to acquire compared to normal backup irons. Thoughts? Full disclosure, I'm not really in the market for this and realize there are probably better options. Here is link for more info on optic http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=27371/avs|Manufacturer_1=BUSHNELL%20OUTDOOR%20PRODUCTS/ttver=1/Product/TROPHY_1X32mm_RED_DOT_SIGHT#

15 acres for Agricultural classification which does require a minimum income of $1500 per year 15 acres for Forest land, no income required. Just a management plan 3 acres openspace: maintained as openspace and included in a preservation plan approved by state or local planning agency. So if you have a mixture of forest and open space you can qualify without showing any income. If you have crops you have to show $1500 a year. -

Mohawk Armory Suppressors
Lumber_Jack replied to Lumber_Jack's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I totally agree with the sentiment, however if I can save $200 and still get high quality suppressor, I will. Reality is it boils down to their machining ability. If I had the right equipment I would build my own. There are plenty of good baffle designs out there. Chances are the Mohawks might not be as good as the AAC, GA, etc. But you never know, that's why I asked. -

Not accurate at all. Greenbelt is a property tax program offered by the state for property you deem as forest/agriculture. You don't actually have to cut one tree, or hay, or even grow crops. All you have to do is get a forester to do a "10 year management plan" that states the status of the property and what best plans for management. There is a special format the state requires You are not obligated under Greenbelt to follow the plan, just file it at courthouse. The cost of the plan (we charge $300) will probably offset the tax savings in the first year but after that you will save a considerable amount on property tax. Tennesee Division of Forestry used to do these plans but I'm not sure if they still do. -

Dan Wesson makes a 9mm 1911. I have no personal experience but have read good things

I blame mike for luring me in with his post. If it had been some other loon I would have just passed on by.

Wow, what a lame attempt at free advertising. You couldn't think up a better thread than "I can't find 9mm ammo"? Everybody has 9mm

Purchasing land for a BOL, recreation, and hunting

Full disclosure, I am a forester and my company also deals in rural real-estate . However we don't have any brokers that represent your end of the state. I could probably help you track down a few if you need help though. -

And expensive because it's your job to prove you're locked. And even if a judge agrees someone has to grant you an easement, you still have to pay that landowner for the ROW. I would not buy any land that does not gave either a road, or clear deeded access or easement of at least 15'. Some easements exist but are not wide enough for a suitable driveway. Know there is a difference between "road frontage" an having a driveway. Property that had true road frontage will butt up against a county, city, or state road. This land will definitely demand a higher price. I would suggest talking to a real estate agent that deals specifically in Rural woodland. Not just Century 21 or whoever but a true rural real estate company. Remember I they have a listing the owner pays the agent not you, so it never hurts to call.
