  1. And....this is what I did. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will use them personally
  2. I support israel, but the point of letting Iran do as they please with nukes is a stance I just can't get behind, and certainly won't win him the nomination from Repubs.
  3. I have seen others use this, as I eluded to in earlier post. $34. It allows top movement to center between legs for maximum stability. Plywood could be cut and bolted to surface to ad strength. There is a metal top one also for $64
  4. Nice! Necessity is the mother of invention.
  5. This is the best filter available! I k ow its impractical to think you can supervise 100%, but keeping the computer in a common area and not a bedroom helps.
  6. Truth. Being prepared is much more than just having a gun!
  7. Next time you go, enter through a Main entrance not sears, belk etc. in the foryer between the two sets of doors look on the wall. There will be a laundry list of "rules" in a metal frame with plastic front.
  8. This may be a true statement if all check marks are weighted equally. However I put a lot of merit if foreign policy, especially when referring to Israel's security and Iran getting a nuke. Plus I just don't buy this whole Global collapse conspiracy theory that he subscribes to and supports on Alex Jones radio show. Now some of it may be true, yes, but not to the extreme these guys preach. Plus he's not electable. That's been covered already.
  9. I think most are all or nothing. So you can block YouTube all together or not. I don't know of a program that can block certain types of videos within a website. Especially since a lot of time the title is not what's in the video. NOD32 is good antivirus program. Basically anything that comes with an operating system is garbage,( Norton, McAfee, etc)
  10. I asked for a Ruger LCP from my wife, but we'll see how that goes. She has never bought a gun before and complains every time I ask for one about "I don't know what to do". I tell her it's just like buying a purse only you have to fill out a form with your name on it. Too bad they don't require background checks at the Coach store.
  11. Umm see OS's post above. That pretty much sums it up
  12. West Town mall in Knoxville is NOT posted. There are code-of-conduct signs periodically that say "no weapons" but not properly posted at all entrances as per Tn law.
  13. It's written specifically in our company handbook, if you have a permit you can carry in any office or company vehicle wether open or concealed is per state laws. I'm glad to work in an industry(Forestry) that doesn't hinder my ability to carry. Especially since I spend a lot of time in area where people conduct nefarious activities (i.e. the woods) I often open carry in the office in the same leg holster I use in the woods. I have done so in other states as well. No issues. I do however conceal when meeting landowners for the first time, most have no issues but no need to put people on gaurd right away.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions. Peejman thanks, I never saw that thread, and Tapatalk has limits on how far back the search function works.
  15. I'm looking to get my boss a nice bottle of bourbon. He has admittedly liked Gentleman's Jack, but I thought I'd buy him something different. Any ideas looking to spend $50-75
  16. Depends on if Fred brings a 50BMG or not , Me all I need is Something to shoot at, I don't have target stands but can come up with makeshift stuff if need be.
  17. Just know the 1911 and XD are totally different guns made in different countries even. Don't judge one by the other
  18. OpenDNS is what my in-laws use. It's basically a web based security filter. So anyone who connects to your Internet is subject to the filter, ie her friend brings her computer to your house it's still filtered. I'm sure there is a fee for the service but I don't know how much. You can customize the filter to your liking and it's easy to turn off for adult use or approve certain sites that get filtered by accident. May not be the best it's just what I know. It works well
  19. Haha, sorry wasn't trying to be "THAT GUY". Just suggesting the thread for its good pics. That's the first time I've seen that portable stand. Seems if you were sizing rifle brass etc, it could be top heavy. I've seen guys use the collapsible work stands sold by dealt/craftsman etc. scissor type legs and wood slat top. Usually sold at home repair stores. Should fit your needs, but I'm not sure how sturdy that is either
  20. Are you using safari? Safari mobile (iPad) I have that problem constantly. iPhone and MacBook work fine. I've tried everything, I have just resorted to logging in and dealing with it.
  21. I think there is a thread of reloading bench pictures. Many of which would fit your specs. Search for it, that'll give you some ideas. There is one on 1911forum.com as well, full if pics
  22. I had a Kimber Eclipse Pro and LOVED it. I sold it to fund another gun because I carry the TRP. do not shy away from Kimber, but do agree that you pay extra for advertising and such. Look or a Springfield Range officer not too much money but a great gun
  23. If you're willing to spend $1500 I would buy either a Springfield TRP( I own one) or a Dan Wesson Valor. You can do adequate interwebz research on both. I actually bought my TRP brand new for $1175 out-the-door. So if you look around at local gun shops you can find good deals from time to time. Now if your price point in not that high, I can recommend others but I'd start there.
  24. Yeah that kinda puts a damper on going, doesn't it. I was unaware it wasn't open the public.
  25. It specifically said he followed them to report the license plate. It also said they declared they were officers when exiting the car with weapon drawn. Now I'm not saying Estep didn't exit the car first and act aggressive, bit still believable that the cops were to blame as well.
