  1. Went with some friends and toured the Nelsons Green Brier Distillery. Fun time. Non of their Nashville distilled lot is aged yet but we did get to try their in-aged as well as their Belle Meade brand which is distilled under contract with another distilled. I will say the Bell Meade single barrel that's only sold at the distillery store due to limited quantities was very good! All in all it was worth the $10 to spend 30 mins and taste some whiskey
  2. Yeah it's obvious they did that to make 3 even size steps instead of using the right 4 step stringer.
  3. Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'll let you know if I need anything.
  4. So the next question. The paint/stain is peeling off the deck treds. Should I strip it off or just sand the spots and cover it? I would much prefer it never had this applied but I dread the thought of stopping all of it off
  5. Here's what I'm dealing with
  6. My dad mentioned this option. I'm gonna do some measuring and see how it fits. It's more like 2.5 steps, but I could rip the bottom off with a circular saw.
  7. So our house isn't very old, about 6 years. The back deck has 3 steps down to the yard. When the landscaping was put in the mulch as piled up around the base. So long story short the rider and bottom front plate are completely rotted. Anyone know a good general work contractor in Nashville that could come replace them? I could do it myself but I figured by the time I haul the materials and get a couple tools I don't have, I could probably just pay someone to come and do it for me.
  8. Fly Fishing is a different beast altogether. You are trying to figure out what the fish are eating, what level of water they're eating them in (top, middle, bottom) and trying to imitate that bug without scarring the fish. Most trout eat bugs under the surface of the water hatching from the bottom and traveling to the top to eventually fly off. So a lot of fly fishing is focusing under water. Catching fish on dry flies on top of the water is great fun but is only mostly effective when the tout are feeding on top. This is hard to predict so you fish under water until you see fish feeding on top then target those fish. Some purists fish only dry flies, and you can often stimulate trout into eating dry flies but that's just a gamble. I prefer to catch more trout than be considered a purist so I fish nymphs underwater. The best advice I can give is to watch YouTube videos of begging fly fishing. They help a ton. Or I can take you out and show you. It's kind of hard to explain in words. Anyone looking to learn can gain a lot from biting the bullet and hire a guide for one day. It will change the way you fish.
  9. Ok so for general trout fishing the two main rivers to focus on would be the Caney Fork and Elk. They hold trout year round. There are other stock rivers like the Harpeth but the fish will likely die on the summer when water temps get high. I would start with medium light tackle spinning rod with various colored rooster tails. I've had best luck with the trout colored ones. The best option would be to fish with live shiners. That's what the big trout are eating. But that can be an extra pain to deal with. Anything that simulates minnows or shad can catch trout. Focus on bank edges and tails of riffles where trout are sitting catching food coming down stream. Spoons/rooster tails can work in deep pools as well just focus on shaded areas in hot weather. With spinning tackle you can generally avoid wading but it might help to access larger areas of the rivers.
  10. Are you just looking to catch the species or are you interested in Fly Fishing? I can give you tips on both just need a direction to go
  11.     I agree I think he is one of the greatest of all time.  I have a bunch of old records copied to digital files that I love listening too.  The white noise transferred, it feels like I'm a kid listening with my dad.  Sad day for sure

  13. There are 3 Tesla Supercharges, I stand corrected.  One in Knoxville (Turkey Creek), on at the Chattanooga Airport, and One at the Dealer in Brentwood
  14. I could see that. The whole peacock response when Negan looked at him in sure didn't bode well.
  15. So the only Tesla quick charge in Tennessee is at the dealership on Brentwood. But any charging station will add power just not full charge
  16. If I had $100K to spend on a car, I'd consider a Tesla.  I think they're a cool concept.  This biggest issue with the electric car concept is performance, Telsa proved it can be done.  Innovation has to start somewhere.  20 years from now these things may go 2K miles, or not, who knows.   They're still powered by fossil fuels, just indirectly.
  17.     because there's barely anything to talk about.  We didn't learn anything more than we knew at the begging of the season...someone dies.     I personally think it's Daryl, simply because during the Negan speech they kept showing the first person POV from someone waking up in the cage.  I have to believe that was Daryl waking up from his gunshot wound.  Then when Negan clubs the victim they use the first person POV again, I think it's probably the same person.  Could be Glenn, but I'm betting on Daryl
  18. I'm talking about physical seeing with your eyes in the dark. Any patch of woods were the tree tops touch is virtually impossible to navigate without artificial light and a compass. The premise is more retarded than actual zombies
  19. I'm begging to debate whether I am going to continue to watch the show. I just watched 90minutes of nothing. The only thing we learned was Negans face. That's not to mention the unrealistic liberties they take. Have any of you been in the woods in the dark. No way Ricks group could have found their way and no way Negan could track them. I understand it's "zombies" but hell at this point Rick should sprout wings and fly them all to safety.
  20. I'll be there. May be 8:30 before I get there. Gonna take the wife to breakfast before she has to work Saturdays for the next month
  21.     Yes, just making sure it wasn't a direct thread mount.  never assume anything.  If you have the piston mount then you need a stronger recoil spring. Remember you have a lot of weight hanging on the barrel and all the gas and energy normally used to cycle the action is what you're trying to suppress.
  22. heavier recoil spring. the can has a booster right? when reading the title I had this in mind
  23. I was floating the clinch on Saturday starting about 8:30am the ridge tops were roaring with gobbling turkeys.  Gets ya in the mood to shoot one in the face
  24. This is a fact. If the price of being a "young dumbass" was losing an appendage, this would be my profile pic
