  1. Last time I went to UPS store, they flat out asked "what's inside here". Of course it was not gun related but I thought it weird they asked.
  2. Lester, I'm sure there is a way, however if you make the magwell that tight, you would most likely have issues with mag changes. I would much rather have a smooth mag change and just hold the magwell with or without the grip, than have a mag I cannot get inserted.
  3. Out of Stock, but otherwise a good price.
  4. As said before the phillipinos are fine, Rock Island, Metro, etc. they usually come with smooth wood grips, which I don't like, but are easily changed. The ruger sr1911 will be good when you can find it, but doubt you'll get out the door for under $600. Maybe under $700, which is still a great deal.
  5. Yeah, probably best. I don't have either currently. Just thinking about an AR pistol and options. I'll have to see if I can get a reply from the BATFE
  6. Would a Mako magwell grip be considered a forward grip on an AR pistol? I thought maybe not since it's technically connected to the lower, but you can't be too careful.
  7. I don't see anything wrong with it. I'd use them if I did t have to go to the bank to get them. They are never open when I'm off work.
  8. I've never owned one but they make good weapons. I wouldn't hesitate buying one. I'm not sure it's the best bang for your buck. Which model ate you looking to buy? Maybe we can get some info on features that might better answer your question.
  9. True. People buying $97 shirts don't care where the dollar went.
  10. You overpaid your parents by keeping the dollar and repaying $49 each. You kept a dollar, so you owed them .50 each of that dollar. So $48.50+ $48.50+1(mom)+1(dad)+ .50x2(me) = $100
  11. I think the first thing on your list that needs adjusting is width. I'm not sure your gonna notice a real world difference in .2 inches. A 1.5 in width gun is pretty slim. IMHO
  12. Show airs tonight. I won't see it until it comes on-demand since justified is in Tuesday's now. I hope the girls make it past the first two episodes this time. I hate that they get eliminated early usually due to some physical challenge that's not associated with shooting (sometimes not)
  13. I wouldn't say it's nothing. Even though they haven't taken a "pro-gun" stance, they have taken a stance to not further infringe upon our rights.
  14. Really? Is this it "panther single shot"? http://www.dpmsinc.com/firearms/firearm.aspx?id=46 If this is it, then, No. It lacks a magazine first off, so no where to load bullets from. Not to mention the gas tube and other functioning parts. This was designed (I think) as a match shooting gun where one bullet at time is all that's needed. I would jut sell it and buy a standard AR
  15. Caster, if I had the a ability to "like" a post, #47 would have got one from me.
  16. Makes me wish I had a lathe....and half a brain to use it $100 makes the $200 tax stamp easier to swallow.
  17. I see them at gun shows for $650 everytime. A lot of times you can get them to throw in tax & tics. Maybe I should pic one up at the next show. If nothing else just to pass the deal on to a fellow TGO member. Not for profit, of course
  18. See post #48, he's working on it
  19. I think there was a misconception from the beginning. It was a boycott not a protest. So we aren't trying to make a big scene, just patronize the business to counter the boycott. As I did
  20. Yep, 5.56 so you can have all the ammo choices your little heart desires
  21. Agreed. Get a 9mm 1911. It will be about 1.45 in wide, and only carry ~9 rounds, but this is as close as your gonna get. Here is one with a bobtail. Helps reduce grip length (concealment). http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/dan-wesson-guardian/
  22. Ask Martha Stewart about insider trading.
  23. Glen Campbell, a true great.
  24. Blasphemy, the great Grizzly. I have fond memories of that show. Watch it now and it's Soooo not what I remembered. Haha
