  1. I find the recoil snappy and harsh. Especially after about 20 rounds. Academy has Sig P238 for $479, that's what I'd consider. If you want to meet up one night during the week next week I can let you/her shoot it till your hearts content.
  2. Thanks G, I'm out of town for work this week but I'm gonna try to sort this out on Saturday. I'll give you a call if I can't figure it out.
  3. Thanks guys, I'll post some results this weekend when I get home.
  4. Oh I don't take offense to much of anything. Just pointing out we elected that Bloombergian to head our state.
  5. A mayor does not a liberal town make. Oh and btw that mayor is now the state governor. Knoxville seems to be a conservative town to me, with a strong liberal component.
  6. So after some reading apparently .473 won't chamber in most guns even though that's what's listed in the manual. So through the crimp again and see if I can get it around .470 and try again. Thoughts?
  7. Max is 1.278 according to Hornady I'm using the one that came in my Lee Carbide full die set (4 dies)
  8. <p>So I loaded some .45 last night. Approximately 15 rounds. I measured everything. COL 1.238, mouth .473The bullets drop in my barrel about 3/4 of the way. I cannot push them the rest of the way in. Should I crimp more? I crimped in a 4th step and tried to do as little as possible as per others instructions. Did I just not quite get enough bell out?Or did I not get the whole case resized properly? I followed the instructions but may need to revisit the die setup to be sure.
  9. Most definitely! The iPad screen is plenty big enough to support the full version.
  10. 7 1911 mags, 3 G19, 3 G20, 6 AR. I agree with the sentiment that 3 are minimum. I hate loading mags constantly at the range.
  11. If you clear your cookies then it will default back to mobile version
  12. Check on your iPad under Settings, Safari, and allow cookies for this website. That should default to the last version you viewed either mobile or full site.
  13. Ahh I see, I just went if OS posting "Kwik". I'm not sure you're still not full of #### but you're right this time
  14. They are truly awesome. They took a while to breakin due to the heavy leather. But I wouldn't trade them now for anything. The problem I have the most is I often tie them too tight and my foot goes numb. But that speaks to how well they fit and are designed. Normally with mass produced boots I have to wear really thick socks or ankle supports and then still can't get them tight enough. I'll say this I've never heard anyone be disappointed with them after the 2-3 week break-in period
  15. Kwik Just testing to see if Steelharp is full of ####.
  16. That's how it read when I first read the thread. Must have been changed early on, by a Harry Potter fan. (had to google that one myself)
  17. For case lube, do you apply once before depriming and the wipe off after final crimp? Or does it need applied more or less, or at a different time?
  18. Yes, but most do not allow target shooting outside of designated range areas. Have I done it anyway? Yes, but it's still not allowed. If you're near the Cherokee you can find a secluded place.
  19. take the slide off and look and the frame rails. if there are scalloped cutouts, its what is called a Mud Rail. This was done to allow mud and dirt fall out and not hinder the slide action. however all it did was weaken the slide rails. Models with these cutouts have been know to split or crack along the rail. If it has this cutouts I would just look closely for cracks in the rail on either side. its believed that they stopped doing this in 1987, but some believe it was done in 1988. I don't think the "mud rail" versions are worth less, just something to look for. I wouldn't pay more that $550 depending on number of mags included. any less than 3 mags, I would go down. but depending on wear condition id say the range is $350-550. as Runco said, tade-ins have sold for $325
  20. This is an interesting topic. I'm here to hear any more you might find on the topic, Caster.
  21. This has nothing to do with how many dogs get shot every day. It has to do with a cop acting irresponsibly. Watch the dash cam video. The cop pulled his gun on the first human he sees, the shoots a dog after it barks ONCE. he clearly does not have the mindset or restraint to Serve and Protect Austin. If that were me he would have seen rage, unlike anything he had seen. I might not have been physical but I couldn't make any promises either.
  22. Definitely intriguing. I have a couple of questions or thoughts. Does it work in grass, and of so how short does it have to be? Also you cant be selective, you may pick up your neighbors brass as well. But its much easier to pick through a bucket on the bench than bent over on the ground.
  23. Close as it gets http://www.thenutwizard.com/ammovideo.html
  24. I did some searching and just saw that today. I didn't realize the 550 was so similar. I seem to have lost my Benchmade Presidio, so I find myself in the EDC market. This is high on the list for sure.
