  1. No because all pressure behind bullet is released into baffles and no longer pushes on the projectile.
  2. Buy "ABC's of Reloading" I load .45 mostly using 230gr FMJ and Unique powder. 41 magnum 210gr lead flat point with Hogdon H110 .223 with 55gr & 62gr surplus WC 844 & CFE 223 10mm with 200gr flat nose with accurate #9 Powder is about $20 for a pound so you can afford to buy whichever you like for each caliber you load.
  3. I like it, it actually doesn't look gold to me. looks almost bronze/dark earthy. its not like its a polish gold desert eagle, not there's anything wrong with that
  4. [IMG]http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/11/20/megadyru.jpg[/IMG] Pretty funny

[quote name='Jesse' timestamp='1353329084' post='848083']If i were Gruden i wouldnt leave my Monday Night football gig to work harder and look after a bunch of kids. He has it made where he is.[/quote] I agree with this. But he loves coaching. I think he'd be back in the NFL if the right opportunity was available. I honestly think its a pretty big stretch for him to come here, but not an impossibility. If he goes to Arkansas or Auburn, I'd be flabbergasted.

[quote name='Volzfan' timestamp='1353303715' post='848045']I'll believe it when I see it! Heck go hire Franklin! Look what he's done with Vandy![/quote] Franklin will be on the secondary search list or sure. But you can bet Vol fans and alumni wouldn't be too pleased getting a Vandy coach. Regardless of his acumen, they wouldn't receive him well.
  7. [quote name='jtmaze' timestamp='1353291381' post='847921']Would everyone please update their profile with guns and likes because I want to send my recipient something that I hope will be useful. I love this kind of thing and like to get as personal as possible with gifts and put some heart into it. Thanks for the cool Christmas.[/quote] Good idea. I was able to view some posts and get an idea but that can be difficult if someone posts a lot or not enough I have posted some interests under the "profile feed" section
  8. I started squirrel hunting at about 7-8 years old with a single shot .410. The I move up to a single shot 20 gauge. On my 12th birthday my dad bought me a Rem 870 wingmaster 12 gauge that I still have. You'd be surprised how well kids can handle guns. I was a scrawny fellow too, prob weighed 110lbs. The biggest key is stock length if he can shoulder a full size shotgun I'd probably just get him a pump or semi 20 gauge. Would be fine for hunting small game both ground and flying
  9. [quote name='TNcitizen22' timestamp='1353285318' post='847859']Not to mention what I sure would be an absolutely blinding flash at night.[/quote] Yeah, a Noveske KX3 or other quality flash suppressor can kill that, but will still be deafening without ear pro.
  10. [quote name='Caster' timestamp='1353280577' post='847824']So, when's everyone planning on shipping their stuff out?[/quote] I'll probably get mine out first week or two of December, depending on what I buy.
  11. [quote name='Caster' timestamp='1353281825' post='847838']Factory Remington 115g ammo is less than $15 per box of 20 at the local Academy sports. That's high to me, but it's also against my religion to shoot factory ammo anyway. In the scheme of purchased ammo, that's quite reasonable. I backslid once and bought a box. I was unimpressed. Then again, once you start down the deep rabbit hole of handloading for such a versatile caliber, the mundane factory offerings are going to be lack luster. You want reasonable to high performance, you go buy the stuff and load your own. Inside of it's intended range, the 300 BLK is a force to be reckoned with. A 208g Amax hits like a hammer.[/quote] Our Academy Sports doesn't carry any .300BLK. I wish thy would just for convenience while I get my gun finished and get the scope dialed in.

10 years is a ridiculous request $5mil isn't too much if a stretch, but I'd say it will be just slightly more than Saban to technically be the highest paid. But again there are other coaches. Charlie Strong is a name that has credibility.

Yeah Gruden has tied to East Tn through his wife. I would be totally floored if he took the Arkansas job.

[quote name='sL1k' timestamp='1353260907' post='847685']Arkansas wants him too and said they are willing to make him the highest paid coach in the SEC [URL]http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/jason-la-canfora/21041240/the-nfl-today-arkansas-tennessee-want-jon-gruden[/URL][/quote] I don't doubt it on either count. I have to believe if TN hires him they'll do the same.

[quote name='Mad4rcn' timestamp='1353260214' post='847678']I saw Coach Gruden on tv talking about how he would love to have the TN coaching job. He said he and his wife love being in TN.[/quote] The key is can we pay him enough to leave ESPN. he makes just north of 4mill there. He was interested during the last hiring process, but Hamilton didn't think we could afford him. Catch 22, save money on a coach lose money cause fans don't show up.
  17. I compare factory 300 BLK ammo like other high power rifle. $20+ a box is gonna be standard. I got a box of 110 gr Hornady VMax and 220gr Remington from JoeBobsOutfitters.com for $21.95 and if you get more $90 shipping is free. If you compare it to 5.56 or 7.62 it's definitely gonna be more expensive, but like Mike says its a great reloading caliber. If money isn't a factor, then by all means buy the Daniel Defense, worth every penny. Also look at Noveske and Wilson Combat for high quality factory built uppers. You can pair them with any standard AR lower.
  18. [quote name='gregintenn' timestamp='1353204422' post='847392'] How'd you do that?[/quote] Above the picture on the main page is a button labels "share" I clicked it and check the box that said "grab the BBcode". It gave me a long link and I deleted everything before [IMG] and after [IMG/]
  19. UT was doomed from the start. Reminiscent of Wyoming game after Fulmer was fired, only Vandy is a pretty good team.
  20. Looks good Jeff! What QD rings are those?
  21. Allow me to assist [img]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8199/8193187569_c34d2787f6.jpg[/img] Nice looking deer.
  22. I have had good luck with Chippewa but Red Wing is probably a little better. Boots don't last 6-8 months regardless of brand, and I've had them all. Red wing, Chippewa, Justin, Rocky, etc. I have up and bought custom built. Sounds to me with your light use, Red wings would last you a very long time. I had a pair of cowboy boots resoled that cost about $80, so I'd assume any stitched leather sole would cost similarly.
  23. Bridge Brew IPA, brewed right here in Fayetteville, WV. This makes working in southern WV a little more tolerable. [IMG]http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/11/15/qamaduja.jpg[/IMG]
  24. [quote name='Will H' timestamp='1352916129' post='845565']The Federal 100 round 9mm boxes at Wally world are also special for them. If you turn the box over there is a WM at the beginning of the UPC code. I have heard of several people having trouble with these rounds. I don't know if all Federal Champion is like this or not, as I only shoot 9mm and .22 anymore.[/quote] Being a distributer exclusive is different than manufacturing specifically for Walmart. People who think the federal ammo they buy at Walmart is worse than the federal they buy at gander mtn are just crazy. I've bought the federal .45 ammo from Walmart. Only difference is they use small primers. The same thing goes for the guns. manufacturers don't go out if their way to make crappy versions if their guns to sell at Walmart. If the gun sucks it would suck no matter where you bought it.
  25. I would think crappie would be good. Not sure o the lake temps there but as long as they're above 45 degree you should be able to catch crappie. Here is a link to crappie and how they react to water temp. It starts in spring and goes to winter. So scroll to the bottom to find this time of year. http://www.crappiefishingusa.com/id109.html
