  1. Glad to have you.  Welcome to the board.
  2. I assumed as much, that's why I said that.  Anytime you buy anything that's relatively orange color, people in this state automatically assume you have power T's on your undroos.           it definitely depends on your power output.  Mine was a '97 4.0L inline 6 with a Jet Performance Chip.  I wanted to be able to drive to the trails and back home without having to trailer it.  If I had gone over 5:1 ratio, it wouldn't be fun on the paved road.
  3. Yeah I know how that it is for sure. I went with 4.88 gears because my printed tire size was 35", after actual measurements they we 34.2. So the 4.88s were a bit strong for driving around town, but I could squeal the tires in 1st gear. 4.56 seems to be a perfect for the setup you have. Great jeep, and I love orange, and that has nothing to do with school affiliation.
  4. What's the gear ratio in the jeep? Looks really good. I love the 4 doors lifted.
  5. I used too, unfortunately I had to sell for financial reasons. But I will own another
  6. I honestly think this won't affect much. Unless you're one who likes to get right up to the dam. I don't see any way they can justify a large area shutdown down stream. If its anything over 500ft, then I'd say its time to get pissed. Also notice they didn't mention Norris, south Holston or Watauga.
  7. Well I was wrong about Center Hill not being a Corp dam. I will be attending the meeting in Cookeville if I can. If anyone hears definite info about these meetings post it here. If its a reasonable distance I can understand but that is yet to be seen. I'm a wade fisherman so I don't want to be too close to the dam anyway, but I know boaters do, seeking those big fish that feed at the generators.

  9. Since 1970 14 people have died below Corps dams an 868 on the reservoirs..... That's a really small number, especially considering how many miles of lakes and streams that covers.
  10. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20121129/SPORTS11/311290030/Restrictions-near-dams-concern-area-fishermen?nclick_check=1 This article seems to address only Corps operated water and sites safety as the concern. I think it's BS. Definitely need to voice opinions to representatives. I've heard a cumulative 20 miles of lake and tailwater could be closed to boats. That's probably a relatively small buffer over all the dams.
  11. All of those are TVA dams. No way they are shutting down all downstream fishing. They may put a no boats buffer around the physical dam but they don't own the river or the lake. Hell you can drive a car over most of them, Norris and Center Hill specifically.
  12. Think people will make a buisness out of just running background checks, set up a booth at gun shows?
  13. Well to that point, I thought there was a "no boats" buffer above the dams anyway. I know TVA does. It's a safety issue.
  14. http://www.snopes.com/photos/architecture/nagasaki.asp The premise stands, that two similar arches survived catastrophic events. But Nagasaki wasn't hit by the tsunami, it's on the south west side of Japan.
  15. Yep that's my worry. Think we will have to go to an FFL for transfer or could it be more restrictive than that?
  16.   Right but this wouldn't prevent a terrorist attack.  There is still navigable water up to the dam.  Are they going to build a wall to prevent all boats?
  17. I'm not sure I buy this.  What would be their reasoning?
  18. I first saw this on Facebook, which caused me to read the comments which in turn almost gave me an aneurysm. People automatically jump to ban semi-auto guns. He only hit 3 people( according to current reports) which is awful, but could easily be done with a revolver
  19. Haha, my dad is from Grantsville, so that's getting closer.
  20. Wow, so I wonder if its stamped .357 or just loaded to .357 in a .38 stamped case. This could be dangerous
  21. Where are y'all from? I grew up in Parkersburg.

  23. Walks like a duck, talks like a duck....
  24.   http://www.300blktalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=179&t=80842   I bought the last one until after the Holidays, but he will have more.  there is a video a few posts down.  I will eventually buy a power case trimmer but it will just have to wait a little while     I misquoted who the seller was above its VZ58, he's a senior member of there though.
  25.   well I just bought a case cut off jig from vz58 on 300 BLKtalk, so I guess you'll be calling me "tender knuckles jr" as I will be using a drill chuck for power trim.  But I will take your advice and pick up a 3 way cutting head.
