1. This may be pushing the ethics of hunting a little bit for me, but shows some impressive results with PBA ammo traveling at 1650fps   http://youtu.be/ugyO7dcF1n8
2.   from my cold dead fingers.
3.   Yep, he quoted me in a previous article.  Seemed honest and straight forward then.  I wont crucify anyone until they have actually sinned.  If this article is bad, I'll be the first to shout, but I wont hide in my bunker and expect fair reporting if we aren't willing to go on the record.
4.
I don't think I would put powder in anything but an approved container. The factory ones have conductive properties so static electricity cannot build up. Lots of non-conductive plastic could cause a problem. Just my $0.02 worth.
That's what I was looking for, just wondered if anyone had any. But if Dolomite uses almond cans, I'd feel safe with his recommendation.
5. Anyone have a good source for empty plastic powder jars?
6.
vortex strke force since at most local clubs is close range it does come with a screw on magitfier but the prices have gone up.
I agree. For a budget red dot, the Strike Fire is a great optic. It's non magnified but the 2x adapter is a nice plus. I bought mine from joeboboutfitters for $149.
7. I placed an order with JoeBobsOutfitters the week before Christmas. It took 4 days to ship, normally it's at my door in three days with them. It's a pretty crazy time
8.
HOLY $%^& That is freaking NUTS! Neil, you must have turned into a claustrophile -- "not too crowded"? - OS
I was there about 4 pm. It really wasn't very crowded. Seems most people were leaving. I'd say the pandemonium will start all over in the morning.
9.
yes, there is a gap on the top side. you are probably right on the wrong size block. i am fine with putting the front site back on or getting another block, i just don't know what to order.
Just depends on what you want in the end. If you like the current look then just buy a low profile gas block in .750. If you want to have the front sight post then just reinstall that.
10. Just got back from seeing David. Not too crowded. I'm sure tomorrow morning will be a spectacle. Price has gone up $10 for one day $15 for all weekend. Saw Volunteer Ordinance selling a Sig M400 for $2499, same gun you could buy at Walmart for $900. Saw several walkers with ARs but didn't bother to ask because I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face when they answered. David said a guy earlier walking around with Pmags for $75 a piece. David said if you've sent him a message he probably didn't get it due to how hectic it was today.
11. I relieved an automated response from Phil Roe that stated he would respond in detail. We'll see what happens
12. I'm not in Murfreesboro but don't worry I'd say your problem is not difficult to diagnose. I'd say the gas block is misaligned or blocked. Hopefully someone in your area can help you sort it out. Post some pictures if you can. We can surely talk you through the troubleshooting.
13.
Do not prefer leather, as the pistol comes out too easily. And if you put a strap on it, then it is another thing to do to release it.
I guarantee the gun won't come out of a custom leather holster. I have a full size 1911 you can stand on your head with it in the holster. But if you don't want leather, look into molded kydex, they will be better than what comes from Sig.
14. Fury Carry Solutions, they have a few weeks wait, but they are a nice Kydex holster. Knoxville based business too. http://www.furycarrysolutions.com/Concealement-Order.html DM Bullard custom leather. Has some in stock ready to ship. Very good quality holsters http://store.dmbullardleather.com/all-in-stock-holster/bodyguard-sig-sauer/sig-sauer-p938
15.
would anybody care to guess which of the 3 days will it be the least crowded? the last time I went the vendors set up the tables where the support columns were in the walking isles. which made for a very long day.
I'm going with "none of the above". If you go, any day, you better have Prozac on board, cause its going to take great patience to walk through those doors. But if I had guess I'd say friday
16. JoeBobsOutfitters.com has some in stick on a pretty regular basis. Check em out
17. I shot Raoul's in 9mm version. I really liked it. Yes the trigger pull is long, but it's really smooth and constant. A short practice period to be shooting accurate double taps, IMO. they are a great value with their low price.
18. I got • .300 Bloackout dies. • Hornady Lock-N-Load conversion kit and set of 10 bushings. • RCBS powder measure and stand • Hornady 208 gr Amax bullets • Patagonia duffle bag for fly fishing • Simms fishing rod tube
19.
Based on what I have seen, the perfect apocolyspe cartride is .270, because it is the only calibre I have seen in spades at the 5 different walmarts I've been to in the last few days.
My dad was trying to decide on a new hunting caliber. I pretty much cam to the same conclusion. Almost always find a box of .270 regardless of ammo rush.
20.
Great thing is at some point this will all end and the market will be so saturated I can buy AR's and lowers for next to nothing! Of course the price of mags, ammo, and parts will stay up for a bit longer and unforntuantley AK's will never go down. :(
Problem is people will be asking what they paid. There will be some harsh reality checks when this all shakes out.
21. Awesome. That's a great knife.
22. Yeah people have gone "full retard" (if you haven't seen Tropic Thunder you won't get this) I doubt if the ban fails that people will pay $1500 for base model ARs. Maybe they will, but probably not. People are blowing their savings and going in debt to own these guns and that's the sad part. People buying 3,4 up to 7 ARs at one time. If you couldn't afford it a month ago you probably can't afford it now. I was scrolling through my 'recently viewed' eBay. Most were standard BCGs that sold for $300 and up.
23. Coal Creek Armory in Knoxville used to carry a few
24. I usually buy at the gun show. You do have to pay $8 to get in, but I chuck that up to entertainment. But still if your paying $17 for 50 of brass I'd rather buy loaded ammo for a little more.
25. I just buy Georgia Arms shoot it and pick up the brass. It's (or was) $21 for 50 FMJ
