  1. What time you going
  2. supposed to refreeze overnight, but tomorrows high is over 40 degrees, so id say it will be fine by mid day.  I drove home about 5 pm and the roads were fine, plenty of salt brine.  I think with cautious driving you'd be fine
  3. I can't get past the minor key version running in my head to appreciate the major key. It sounds good, but I feel like I'm listening to American Idol an the singer is missing his mark.
  4. [quote name="Spots" post="894185" timestamp="1358988832"]I'm wondering if I should be 10 1-lbers or 20 1/2 lbers for the same price? What have you got?[/quote] The ones I have, I picked up from David at a gun show. Pretty sure they're half pound. You can always add 2 together of the bang isn't big enough.
  5. I have a box of exploding targets that's itching to be shot
  6. I'd be down for that! I always enjoy the TGO crowd
  7. Go in the door go left and look for the large "reloading supplies" sign overhead. David is a large man, you can't miss him.
  8. Jacobs Building at Chilhowee Park, Knoxville
  9. Any length will work but I'd get one that covers the gas block. Your front site will sit on the end of the rail so the longer site radius the better. Of course longer is heavier. If it were me I'd get a mid length rail. I just bought one from Midwest Industries. I like it a lot. It's about $150
  10. Yep I really look forward to Tuesday nights. This show elicits emotions from me like no other show. It's probably cause we all wanna be Raylan, but whatever it's fun.
  11. It's hard to really save money. It takes a long time to recoup the cost of the equipment. But it does provide a hedge against panic situations. I assembled my stuff over a series of holidays and birthday gifts. So most of it I didn't actually purchase myself.
  12. I like the stonewashed plain edge. I find I rarely need a serrated blade. I like the long smooth belly of the plane edge. That's thinking its an EDC knife. If its a BOB or survival type then I'd probably opt for the serration
  13. Hey man, hadn't seen you on here in a while. As a guy who loves his .45, I don't see the advantage over the .40. Sure more mass to penetrate clothing etc, but mag capacity and bullet velocity kind of weigh it even in my mind. Maybe someone can help me understand why they picked the .45
  14. I'll be there Saturday. Get that .223 brass and maybe some .22 if I can afford it
  15. Coal Creek is a privately owned land. Size is irrelevant. They choose to sell recreation permits merely by choice. They have never allowed hunting. This is no different than you or I owning 20 acres and not allowing hunting.
  16. Dave, I don't know how I didn't see this post, but we should meet up down there sometime. They are generating at full bore right now, but spring time should be more predictable. I'm no professional but we can get fish on the line
  17. a liberty mystic would cover the .22 and 9mm.  Its a take apart can, so you can clean it.  It can suppress .223 but you must keep the rate of fire slow and allow the can to cool.  Its pretty versitile as far as calibers go.  just no .40 or .45 cal bullets   http://www.libertycans.net/mystic.html     not sure you shouldnt get dedicated can for each caliber, but this answers your question
  18. raising prices is one thing, tripling it is another.
  19. I don't remember exactly, but it definitely involved googling gun information.  I had never participated in a forum before joining here
  20. I ordered some extras to give away cause it seems someone is always looking for one or unwilling to use PayPal. I'll get ya a couple when they get here.
  21. My point is still the same. Yes the market is bearing those prices, but that doesn't mean I can't complain about it. You act like we just have to stand by and suck it up. I refuse to do that. I will say it now and forever, it's shitty for a store that gets a product at X and sold it for y, to now still get it for x and sell them for y*3. If magpul was charging them more for stock I'd understand, but they're not.
  22. Yes true, but no one is selling a stock Chevy truck they paid $30k for last month for $60k today. Magpul has made it clear they did not want their dealers gouging. Hey, if they wanna charge $35 for a $13 mag, that's fine I'm not gonna call the police, I'm just not gonna shop there. Simple as that. And I just started this thread to let others know who is our friend in the gun community and who is preying on the week and scared. And as the other poster said, their staff at the gun counter was feeding the flames telling everyone that all semi auto guns were gonna be gone, even shotguns. I just have little tolerance for that type of store
  23. Doubling the MSRP of and item is ridiculous, I don't care what others are 'asking' for theirs
  24. Yeah once loaded into photobucket click the "share" button and then copy the [IMG] code and past it here
