  1. It's well insulated, but not temperature controlled. It's a 3 story condo with a drive in basement. It does fluctuate in temperature but not as much as a normal garage. What precautions should be taken?
  2. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check them out. I'm not sure which safe I'm gonna get yet, but it won't be 1200 lbs I'm sure if that. It'll maybe be 600-800 depending on brand and size.
  3.   I wondered if they might.  Especially since its just a unload and mover across the garage... no stairs involved.
  4. So Im considering buying a safe from the SafeHouse in Nashville.  I figured they could load it in my truck and I could drive it home to East Tennessee. I make the trip across the state about twice a month. However when I get there I will need someone Professional to unload and position the safe in my garage.  I have zero ability to move this or help buddies, after a back surgery last year the risk just isn't worth it.  Does anyone know any companies in the Tri-cities areas that specialize in moving safes?  Also is my plan flawed in any way?  My truck should haul it fine if the Safe House can load it.  Thanks for ideas
  5. Yeah unless the pin in the barrel extension is extremely too small for the slot in the upper receiver, I can't see how the barrel could be misaligned. As Mike stated I have heard several people complain the gas ports on their AR Stoner barrels was not at 90 degrees from horizontal. Remember, just because it was assembled at a "shop" doesn't mean it's right
  6. With everything said. It this is a set screw gas block. You may be able to loosen, straighten and retighten the gas block with minimal effort. May still have to remove the rail
  7. These low pro gas blocks often use set screws to hold them in place. If that's the case it's an easy fix as long as you have a vise block and some wrenches.
  8. Well I'll say this. It's not normal. There may be enough gas getting through the ports to cycle, but it may not be optimal. Especially cosidering the gas key wear I mentioned above. Fixing this should be simple but will take removing the rail and flash hider. I'd take the gas block all the way off to check the port alignment
  9. Lot of good info here already. This is restating others posts. With any gas operated shotgun, the first stop should be cleaning the gas ports, some probably have never been cleaned and can eventually clog up completely. While its disassembled check the port seals. They can dry rot and clog the ports. It's easy. Just google a disassembly of the specific model. And break it down and investigate.
  10. Ps I'm no expert. If it runs, you may never see any problems.
  11. Yes Two things. 1) are the gas ports lined up. If not it might not cycle 2) the gas tube will be at an angle (albeit small) and will not be square with the gas key on the bolt. This can cause uneven wear. Is there a reason it's not 90 degrees from horizontal? I mark the gas ports on the barrel with a pencil and then the same on the block, then line up the marks
  12. Seems to me to be inconsistent. The truck arrives midweek, but it's up to each store to sort and stock the ammo for sale. I was at the ammo counter in Turkey Creek at 8am yesterday after a report of .22 at 11pm the night before. All were gone. Magiccarpetride said there was ammo at 9:30 that wasn't there at 8, but was gone by 12 when Major Kong got there. I can't find a pattern to any store. I truly think night shift employees at sme stores are getting first crack at some of this ammo
  13. No, not for an AR. There was not on reasonable price (IMHO) in the whole damn place.
  14.   No I had a pump 760 30-06 I was considering trading for a 7600 in 270, but decided I was better of keeping mine.  Especially when the trader has his way overpriced and wont budge.
  15. Not to thread hijack....but I will For bolting to a concrete floor, is there a good way to seal the holes if you sell your house?
  16. I went before the show (8 am) looking for .22 and all they had was the same Prvi 9mm
  17. I missed ya, John said he saw ya, but I was trying to haggle a deal for a pump rifle. I got a notice the TGO stickers shipped. I'll holler when they get here. I have way more than I need
  18. I figured. You just didn't mention it, so I thought I'd double check. You can never tell who knows what on these forums. Good look stick you go there.
  19. Did you have the flash hider pinned?
  20. I'm changing. Gonna arrive a little later to maybe catch up with Raoul. Probably get there at 9:45ish
  21. I'd be down for either. I'll find ya
  22. Maybe I'll see ya there. I should be there by 9, I'll be there for a little while.
  23. I'm going first thing. I think most roads will be fine. I was outside 20 mins ago and my driveway was fine. I think the rain is over so just standing water is the major concern. If you don't have 4x4 I can come pick you up if you wanna ride.
  24. High tomorrow is 40. Should be fine. I drove on interstate at 5pm and all was fine. Raoul what time are you coming?
