  1. Looks like OD to me. Foliage appears almost Grey, especially in photos
  2. Shoot 10mm, .40 is for pussies. :taunt:
  3.     Jonnin is exactly right.   plus add in the fact that so many LEO and GOV agents use .40 so its produced at a high volume anyways.  Thats why its more likely to show up in shortage situations.  The supply is much higher
  4.     thats a good deal.  it will be easy to swap the new rail if its right.  Hope this works out for you
  5. I think your philosophy on decoding to carry a gun were very good. But I have A.D.D. So I'll have to read the rest later. With that I agree with TMF. Get a glock 19 or an M&P 9, then shoot the hell out of it. If he wants something more after that those guns will resell for almost what he paid new. Also gun rental, go to a range that rents guns and shoot as many as possible and decide.
  6. Yeah that's what I saw too. A large box had 2 Remington .223, a few boxes of Tula .45, some .22 WMR, and a few others. Not unusual for a shipment to have just 1 box of any caliber
  7. If its not already put it in Greenbelt Tax plan. It will cut your property taxes and maybe help free up some money for this venture.
  8. $19.99 a box of 20. Too expensive for plinking stuff, but pretty sure that's the going rate for lead core expanding hunting rounds. I got 2 boxes.
  9. I was in the 100 Oaks store about 2:30, shelves were bare. Good score. I got 2 boxes of Remington .223 soft point in Paducah yesterday. I needed some coyote killin ammo so that wa a plus.
  10. Looks like I'm gonna be in town. So I'll swing by early Saturday. Dog has to go back to vet at 12 so I can't stay long. Hope David has some projectiles left.
  11. Hahah TDR, you should have let him sweat a little, left out the j/k. That's funny
  12. This is true for most people. We have charter in JC, but my inlaws have Comcast. Comcast is such a better service overall, better Internet, better channel packages, better on-demand. There is no way I could convince them to switch over canceling gun ads. I'm afraid that's the case for most people. To be honest I can't remember the last time I saw a commercial for a gun or gun shop in Knoxville. Unless it was on the Outdoor or Sportsman channel. Are they canceling those adds too?
  13. Popularity. 9mm and .22 are notoriously the cheapest so more people have guns in those calibers than .45, which has been around $20 per 50 FMJ for a while pre panic.
  14. Yeah Coal Creek isn't a place to go for bargain basement prices on anything but especially ammo. I don't mind they're shop an like a couple do the guys who work there but ammo has always been higher there. I'd say they bought them at an inflated price and mark up is standard. But it could also be a markup to keep some supply in stock, it's not always a money making ploy. If demand goes through the roof the only way to keep some supply is to raise the price.
  15. Nice, welcome back to the land of technology
  16. Of the bourbons that I've tried in this thread I've been pleasantly surprised but 2. The first is Makers 46. That is one fine bourbon. Either straight or Old Fashioned or Manhatten, just excellent. Second is Dickle Barrel Select. Just over the rocks tonight but its a real value at the price. Both recommendations by Raoul out fearless OP. Next on the list is Prichards Double Chocolate that David suggested.
  17. where'd the video go????
  18.     I watched the video on their website, Id say its no worse than dropping it in a protective case (which I do often) and actually the video wasnt to bad after recoil, just depends on the gun.  I might not strap it to a .50BMG, but your average hunting caliber, for a shot or two shouldnt hurt.
  19. Well, if youre going to deal in post appocolyptic prices, you have to do it on both ends.  You cant over value your trade and expect less on the other, regardless if ammo is added or not.
  20. it was good meeting you as well, Glad you came by the booth.   I never thought about using it on a spotting scope, now that would be really usefull.
  21.   This is a completely reasonable answer.  I did not know the licensing agreement contained such language.  and I guess what kind of irks me most is they didn't send and email saying "because of licensing agreements we cannot use ......." or whatever, they just delete it like you wont notice.   So with that I guess Google Earth will have to upgraded to Pro, but I still dont see how Chrome is a liability.  I guess its time to send them and email and see what THEY actually think.  Commuication isnt their strong point.
  22. I was waiting for you to post this. I though it was really cool as well especially when I actually saw it in use. Would be great for filming hunts solo, however recoil would probably ruin the kill shot. I wasn't too impressed with the price, but that may come down over time.
  23. Well my company is a little different than most.  We are a small buisness and my direct supervisor is part owner.  We have full admin permissions, but also shit rolls downhill if we install something that isnt approved and buggers up the machine.  They dont like Chrome or Google Earth, both are tools that i find useful, especially earth.  We can create a GPS track in the field and then import direclty into Google Earth and you have a good clear, zoomable aeiral photo.  I just dont put the icons on the desktop and they usually wont erase them.      If there is a malware issue I wont resinstall
  24.   Yes I understand that, but I want specific reasons NOT to reinstall Chrome.  I also know that some IT guys get their panties in a wad over brands and not specific issues.  I can override IT if I can prove it does not have a track record of problems
  25. So for you out there who are smarter than I on this subject.    Everytime our IT department remotes into my computer to fix a problem or glich with the VPN, they delete Google Chrome.  I like the browser, but is it really a problem maker?
