  1.   well we expect pictures when its back
  2.   me too, and a WFT trimmer
  3.   Nope, no backorders on anything at Midway now.  I'd say that's just so they can keep up with the demand
  4.   Maybe we're going to conquer Mexico, viva El Presidente
  5. no, i haven't seen anything for a long time.  I had a hard time finding it before Sandy Hook.     I would tell you its time to get a set of dies and reload, but that is equally as scarce.  my best advice is be patient and vigilant and you might find some
  6.     wow, why so cynical  he just asked if anyone has tried it.       I think you're misreading this thread.  Its just a thick jello that stops bullets
  7. There is a feedback system just for this.    But while its here.... if he replied on Friday the 22nd saying he could meet Monday or Tuesday and you didn't reply, and then he sold it on Sunday, that seems like bad communication on your part.
  8. its not the prettiest thing in the world, but it functions a whole lot better now than before.
  9. Ok so one of the complaints of the A&G Grip Extension is that the fit isn't ideal. It can pinch your hand while shooting and just looks sloppy. But it's the only option for the bigger caliber .45 or 10mm. So I ordered one thinking "there has to be a solution". The main issue is there is only one set screw. So no matter how close you fit the extension, as you tighter the screw on the back of the mag, it draws the front down creating a gap. Solution: I fit the extension over the mag and the forced the extension flush against the grip. Then a lightly tightened the set screw, just enough to secure the position. I then removed the mag and proceeded to fill the gap at the bottom with expanding. spray foam. Allowed to cure, then trimmed and sanded flush I then tightened the set screw tight. I planned to spray with plasti dip, which I did. But I didn't like the textured look that remained from the spary foam. So I took a piece if electrical tape and wrapped the mag base. Then I sprayed with 5 or 6 coats of Plasti Dip letting dry about 15 mins between coats. Here is the fit after Mag seats and falls as normal. And doesn't flex with slide movement. Overall I'm very pleased with this little modification.
  10. Thanks guys. That's the process I used, just checking. I used Franklin Arsenal walnut media. I haven't seen any plugged flash holes yet. My main question was with the dust, but I won't worry about it any more. This is just plinking stuff anyhow.
  11. Ok so this is my first adventure in rifle cartridges. I'm using Hornady One Shot because its quick and easy especially when doing large batches. So there is a noticeable amount of lube after the fact. 1) do you prime then tumble? 2) is a small amount of media dust is the primer pocket a big deal? 3) is it better to tumble completed rounds?
  12. Lumber_Jack

    MIA?

I tried to PM him back in mid January and never heard back. Hope he's ok and just gave up internet or something.
  13. No I don't have a baffle but I will either make one like you said, or pick one up
  14. Thanks for the tips guys. All the info seems to be consistent. • use a constant stroke • keep the hopper full at least halfway • run .5lb powder through before starting to measure
  15. Ok so I threw 10 more and got 262 again. That's pretty good. Check a couple singles got 26.1 26.0 26.0 25.7 26.0 26.0 So I guess I answered my own question. I did notice with the outlier, that I kind of dropped it with my purse. Didn't get a tap and the top and at the bottom. So If I use a consistent lever stroke it should be accurate.
  16. What kind of accuracy should I expect from the RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure? I set it up with WC842 and dialed it to throw 26 gr then I threw 10 charges and it weighed 262 gr. Seems good, but should I expect less accuracy or more, per charge? I just wanna stay safe. I'm not using 26 grains per say, just used that number to test with.
  17. Thank for the help guys. I do live in Knoxville so that is a hindrance, but I travel through Nashville at least twice a month so I could definitely stop in a check out the store downtown. I'll check out string works as well.
  18. If Spots doesn't do Paypal I'd be happy to help facilitate as a middle man. I'm in Knoxville and could just collect and send money to Don. Just let me know.
  19. Yeah I thought the same thing. I have at least 5, 7 rounders. Or course they are all 1911 mags, but they most certainly do exist.
  20. It just shows that they have not even a basic understanding of firearms especially modern ones. Anyone that thinks 3 bullets will change anything is a moron.
  21. Someone will hire him, put him back in the ghetto, and film it for TV
  22. No discouragement taken. Just looking for honesty. I'm definitely lookin used. Trying to stay under $600-700 for the outfit. Yeah I know fiddles are 1) loud and 2) awful when not done correctly. I will look at purchasing a good mute and acquiring some lessons
  23. Yeah, I've pick one up. It'll be a challenge for sure. But it's such a great sound
  24. I'm looking to pick one up. I've daydreamed of playing a fiddle for almost all my life. I think it's time to step up. Any advice on buying one? I don't want Chinese crap, all I want is a good sound. I'm not musically inept, I play some guitar and played piano and band instruments as a younger feller. Just wondering what I'm getting into.
