1. Everyone wants to blame it on Baptist, but honesty I think it's just old conservatives in general who do t want to vote to change the laws. I'm a baptist and it infuriates me that the liquor stores are closed on Sunday. If they choose to be closed that's fine, but forced to by law is incredibly stupid.
2. Our 2010 had 84,000 miles and had zero issues....that is until some lady thought her 93 thunderbird would fit nicely under the rear end.
3. What year/model did you have?
4.
Good to hear. Question, is Land Rover making a better vehicle than they did in the past? Historically they were the worst with regards to reliability. I always liked they way they look though.
Actually yes. They are still very complex vehicles but much better. 2000-2004 Disco and Disco II were the real downfall in their reputation. 2 things set them back 1st was the oil pan was misaligned on some and caused the oil pump to go out prematurely, 2nd was some were hindered with electrical problems. You can still get these years Discoveries that are reliable or can made so, but early on it was a crap shoot. But basically if you buy a high mileage (80K+) Disco of any year be prepared to work on it. If you're not handy with a wrench (metric of course) don't buy one that's not user warranty. When the LR3 came out they had totally redesigned them and made even more improvements on the LR4. Neither the LR3 or LR4 had any of the problems the previous discos had. It was even awarded 2011 4x4 of the year. It's a luxury SUV that can do some really off-roading, or grocery collecting, either one. Plus we got the 6 year/100,000 mile warranty with this one.
5. Yeah, everything is worked out. It was totaled, we got a good settlement and all is well.
6. Out with the old In with the new(to us)
7. Yep, lots are using plastic. Unless you drop it square on the housing the plastic ones function perfect and look fine. With that said I would still swap it for a metal one. To me it's not worth the weight/cost savings to keep the plastic one.
8. Water-board his ass! I know, he is a US citizen. Probably the smartest thing he's done. Now he has ACTUAL constitutional rights, not just the pseudo rights libs wanna give Gittmo detainees.
9. I find it humorous that they lift the "lockdown" order and within minutes they locate the kid. Seems the lockdown was counterproductive.
10. With pistol gas length, I've been able to adjust mine to run all sub and super sonic loads without adjustment. Of course if I added a suppressor that might change, but I don't need to adjust the block in the field.
11. It's the exact same concept as a 3 way gas block. It's just the switch is on the other end of the gas tube. Would work fine but the price is pretty steep for what you get. Considering normal prices you should be able to save almost $100 by buying a standard upper reciever and adjustable block.
12. Yeah he's been seen and recognized. He has to realize there is no way out. I bet he tries to kill more cops before he goes. God be with the officers as they send him to Hell.
13. I've already seen comments asking "where'd they get their guns". Holy shit, they have bombs
14. Man, I've been missing out. I've never had Hot Chicken. I'll be coming through Nashville next week. I'm gonna try to get some at one of these places.
15. Is there an echo in here? Looks like I was too slow in the trigger
16. That's only from an FFL. Private transactions are not the same
17. I agree 100%. My wife is in her 3rd year of med school(almost 4th). So there will be plenty of events coming up that will require a good suit. Before its said and done I'm sure I'll even own a tux. These doctors like their formal shindigs.
18.
Find an old school men's haberdashery and spend at least $600.00. In Bristol that would be Blakely Mitchell. Classic cut suits really always are serviceably fashionable.
Thanks. I definitely willing to pay for a good serviceable suit. I will check them out.
19. So I don't wear a suit very often, but I always feel I need one for special occasions. The two I have now are several years old, so in looking for something new. I bought the last ones at Men's Warehouse, the experience was similar to buying a used car. I constantly felt pressured to buy more stuff. So, any thoughts? I live in Knoxville. I've thought about John H Daniels, but thought I'd ask here for opinions.
20. Setting it on spacers to allow air flow under will help as well. My father put his on 3x3 posts before bolting to the floor in the basement. It doesn't look pretty but prevents condensation as well accidental floods from water heater or similar.
21. Agreed. I laughed when I saw it. Didn't realize it was Mike for a second.
22. Yeah. County Corrections I believe. Unbelievable. I've been reading that guys posts, and though not completely reckless there was something I didn't like. Now it all comes together.
23.     look under firearms auctions -> auction details -> Catalog   ammo starts on about page 5
24. Actually we filed the claim with OUR insurance. We have to pay our deductible up front but State Farm will get that reimbursed to us with the money they will get reimbursed from her insurance carrier. We are going to consult a lawyer before signing any documents and make sure we are doing the right thing.
25. I thought Angel had holed that chip on the first playoff. He was literally 1/2" from winning, made a great put attempt on 2nd playoff and still lost. Scott was smooth and consistent on playoff holes. Got his 2nd shot high on the green on the 2nd playoff hole and made that put much more make-able than the one Cabrerra had.
