  1. semantics (mine are boots)
  2. Lucchese makes a great pair of slip-on shoes, I wear them daily. Might be a bit more than $70 though
  3. meh, I just like poking at those that "hate" big cities. Nashville has its flaws, of that there is no doubt. I do like it though, although admittedly doubt we'll stay here long term.
  4. I love Nashville, it's a great city. Yall are just curmudgeons. Seriously I wouldn't build anything in Antioch or along the I-24 corridor, I think that would be a tactical mistake regardless of the business.
  5. Not tonight but I had this a few days ago when at hotel for work trip. It’s really nice. I’m shocked at how much I liked this as I’ve never really ventured into scotch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I would describe it exactly like that, perfect middle ground on bourbon and scotch. Bourbon up front, scotch on the back
  7. Tonight’s dram. It’s a cask strength Japanese blended whiskey. Even though the name implies it’s a single barrel it is not. It’s blended in wood casks and hence bottled from the mixing barrel not the aging barrel. But as it’s cask strength it’s got lots of punch and complex flavor. I enjoyed it a lot. Sweat on the nose. Mellowed our with a few drops of water helped tame the alcohol and open the vanilla and fruit on the palate. This is not sold in the US I bought it locally from a guy that picked it up in Canada. I think US limits sales to specific volumes an 500cl isn’t one of the options. Regardless if you can get some I’d recommend.
  8. He’s the man. Same place I got that PVW 15. Which I’ve had opened since 2014. Hence why I say open it now and enjoy it slowly
  9. And next question where did they find it?
  10. That’s awesome. I say open it now and toast the gift. It’ll last for many special occasions if you chose to do so.
  11. So whats the whiskey in the jars? Do you chose or are they sent at random?
  12. I wish I could find that bottle at retail again, alas odds are stacked against me
  13. First dram since this little guy came into the world. Celebratory pour for sure! I’ve been saving the last 1/4 of this bottle for something special, even before we knew we were having a baby. Nothing more fitting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Haha, obviously. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Great lineup there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Oh no worries. Most babies I can’t tell unless they have gender specific clothing. Yeah I have plans to pick up a cricket or similar (or get one of the grandparents to do it) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. “Him” no offense taken the unisex hat makes it hard to tell. I’m going to buy a youth .22 just for special commemoration. I have a youth .410 and 20gauge I used as a small lad to kill squirrels that will go to him some day too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Wilder; born 12:19am 1/30/18 8lbs 20.5” Mamma and baby are doing great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I picked up a Protech Strider PT from Willis. It’s been excellent. Very light, small, and fast. I really wanted the Magic BR1 but one wasn’t available so I’ll grab it next. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah it’s actually getting sold on the secondary markets for $80-$100 but I found this one at the store near my house. Was $68 so I debated a bit but decided it’d be worth the few extra dollars. I only did a quick initial 1/2oz taste. Looking forward to exploring in more.
  21. Picked up another bottle today. Whiskey Advocate whiskey if the year 2017. Quite tasty. Barrel strength it’s pretty hot at 131 but it’s surprisingly drinkable neat. It opens up nicely proofed down towards 100. I’ll update more on the next tasting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Just picked this up last week. Very enjoyable, 100 proof, sweet on the front nice and oaky on the back, little bite. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Mindhunter is really good. We've watched the entire season 1 in about a week and now have to wait for season 2 sometime late next year
  24. I know right! The things we do for more money. The days of running the woods and chasing timber are gone, but such is life.
