  1. I currently have a set of Look Keo Sprint's. I have been debating switching to speed play. What do you like about them over the Look style.
  2. Yeah, I'm excited. I found a guy in Chattanooga motivated to sell, he was buying a new one to race.
  3. Haha, well it's very common to keep your pedals. I kept mine of my other bike. The cleats are already on your shoes and generally used to how they operate.
  4. I know a lot of you don't care, but to those that do. Here is the new road steed It's a 2012 Litespeed C1, Full SRAM Force Groupset, Mavic Ksyrium Wheels.
  5. The reason she wanted me to drive it up is because she had her brand new Audi SUV and didn't think it would fit in the back. I thought about warning her about the interwebs, but in the end I figured she has a father and I'm not him.
  6. Oh I agree. And that's why I was reluctant to go in past the gates. But I drove up to her building, but parked in an open spot. I looked around before moving out into the open. I was armed and had an AR pistol in the truck. If they were gonna get me it was gonna be one hell of a shoot out.
  7. She was wearing a top like this And shorts like this If she was packing I don't wanna know where it was hidden. Nice, pretty young lady. As a married man, I was uncomfortable.
  8. Haha, yeah I'm sure that was it
  9. This definitely crossed my mind after the fact! Good advice
  10. Yeah I watched last night. It was exciting, I thought they were gonna win. Alas, not. They are the big underdog. OU is the favorite. I was hoping they could at least push it to three games, but they are gonna have to work some now.
  11. So I posted a road bike for sale on Craigslist. So I get an offer to buy, and I accept. The buyer asks if I can meet at their apt complex due to lack of transport ability. I agree, but on the terms that we have to meet out front at the leasing office. So I pull up and much to my surprise is a young 22ish girl. 5-8" 120lbs soakin wet. Despite the color of the bike it is very much a unisex bicycle. But never once did I think a girl was coming to buy. All correspondence was through text message. I was super uncomfortable the whole time. I tried to be nice and not like a creep. So she agrees to our terms and then says, my money is in the apt, can you drive the bike up for me. OH MY GOD. I reluctantly agree. Thankfully I got the money, gave her all the bicycle info I could and left. I don't know of she was expecting a woman because of the bike color or if she is just naive? Either way it makes me afraid for some of the youth out there. Please tell your daughters not to meet strangers off the Internet, and if so take a large able bodied (armed) friend, I was sure armed. She was completely alone. Sure it was a busy area, but that was on my insistence not hers. So scary. I know her name, where she lives, what car she drives, where she banks(money envelope), and what she does for a living. All given voluntarily.
  12. Holy shit, that's like forgetting you packed a tire iron in your carry on.
  13. That's definitely a Suunto. Great outdoor tools.
  14. A couple years ago and elderly Knoxville man shot an intruder through his back door. They found him dead in the ditch in front of the house. The 2nd perp fled. He was not charged then either. Notice!!! If you try to break in my house, I'm not waiting for you to succeed, and the shots won't be warnings
  15. Gen 3 G19, factory refurbished. Bought in 2004 just after graduating UT. Still have it. One of the few that I don't think I'll sell
  16. I'm not sure. Quick release are skewers that run through the wheel hub. Take off the front wheel and see if the bolt will slide out, if so just replace with a skewer. If not, then no :)
  17. I average 16-18mph depending on steep climbs. Nothing to see 30+ on steep downhills. I've hit 50MPH coming down foothills parkway, but that was a little too fast for my taste.
  18. My work truck is managed by a fleet company. We change the oil every 5K. Our Land Rover tells us when it's time for a scheduled maintenance, usually 15K
  19. First of wear a helmet always, road or dirt. You could be a vegetable in pretty short order otherwise. Helmets are cheap. If you can't afford one, let me know and I'll send you one. Bike position is all about comfort. The more you ride it may change and your strength improves. Flexibility is key. I ride a road bike, sold my mountain bike years ago. Bianchi Veloce - full Campy Groupset
  20. In Paducah, they had 2 bottles of 12, 3 bottles of 107 and several Special Reserve. I saw everyone was giving it good remarks so I picked up a bottle. I have to concur, it was very good.
  21. Working in Kentucky
  22. Thanks for all the input. As to some questions. Both bikes I'm looking at are from bike shops selling demos or used inventory. Both are well over 50% saving off MSRP. Now, bidding may close the gap to a point where I'm no longer interested but that hasn't happened yet. Both sellers have over 1,000 ratings one is 100% the other has over 3,000 ratings and a 99.8% I feel confident in the product just wanted to see what y'all thought.
  23. Anyone ever make a large purchase on eBay. There seems like some really great deals from reputable sellers, but I still have anxiety. I'm looking at a bicycle that will run $1500-1800. Just looking for experiences, good or bad.
  24. You started the whole issue by flying off the handle at a simple statement made by Raoul. Learn to communicate like an adult and stop whining.
  25. Don't worry they will just implement a 3D printer registry and background checks
