  1. Ive been getting my hair cut at Sports Clips for a few months now.  Its one of the few places where a man's hair cut comes with a wash as well.  I dont like having to leave the barber and go straight home to wash all the hair off me.  Plus no matter which store I chose and which girl cuts my hair, its always pretty consistant.
  2. Walmart in Paducah Ky this morning had 8 boxes of Remington .22 HP 225ct for $10. So I bought 3 boxes. That's the first .22 I've seen in a long time.
  3. I just like to point out that no moderators publicly intervened (Unless I missed it) during this entire thread. I take that as a sign that no rules were violated by anyone.
  4. If you count "stand your ground" and castle doctrine, which extends to property as well I think the number is more like 30 states.
  5. Love that place. Maybe a little over hyped, but good none the less. Woodshed potatoes are almost better than the steak
  6. Well, you mentioned Calhoun's so I must disagree with your taste. :P I like Calhoun's. it may not be the best BBQ, but they have lots of other good food.
  7. Just for conversation. I saw the new 2014 Silverado/Sierra today at the dealership while getting my oil changed. I really like the new body style, changes are subtle but nice. I can't afford the $48,000 crew cab sticker though
  8. In Knoxville area Tupelo Honey - Market Square. this place is really good. Has the best biscuits I have ever eaten, anywhere. It can be hard to get in if you have a party larger than 4. So go early and be prepared to wait a little bit. The Crown and Goose - in the old city. If you like English pubs, this is excellent. Great food Sargent Pepperoni - Pizza. It's truly awesome! Located on Kingston Pike in east Bearden area. Chandlers Deli - on magnolia east Knoxville. Great soul food. Some truly great fried chicken. Lakeside Tavern - off Northshore Rd at Concord marina. Just great food. Ruth's Chris - not cheap, but I do enjoy eating there.
  9. It's not now. Sig calls it "elasto-polymer". - OS A.K.A. - hard rubber
  10. My friend in college had a diesel VW Jetta that got 45 MPG. It's a remarkable difference
  11.   sold, I'll give ya $25,000 for it :D   in all honesty thats exactly what I need, but Im not sure I can find on in my price range, I'll look though for sure
  12.   very ture, but for the math to work in my favor I have to minimize depriciation, so a slightly used 20-40K miles is probably what Im going for.
  13. So, I currently drive a company supplied truck.  But now that Im in the replacement process they are really shorting me on what iI can get.  I have the option to purchase a truck and get paid mileage reimbursment.  After doing the math I feel that I can come out even with this option, so Im considering it.    So, with that what full size trucks have yall had experience with.  I currently have a 2008 GMC Sierra with 240K miles on it.  It hasnt had any major repairs, just $200-$300 here and there.   Its been a great truck.  It does burn a lot of oil now though, so I know its coming up on a breaking point in its life.    What I need,   4 wheel dive good reiliablity, will occur 40-50K miles a year comfortable (see above) I have looked at Toyota Tundras, and if money wasn't an issue I would certainly buy one, but they are considerably higher priced than equal option in other brands.   Anyone have any opinions on the Nissan Titan?   How about newer model Dodge rams?  I am skeptical about their reiliablilty   F-150?   Stick with GM?
  14.   Yeah, its a .300 ACC Blackout as well :D       exactly why I treat it as a rifle, with no round chambered.  I have the Magpul BAD lever that allows a seemless chambering of a round.  keep the dust cover closed and its good to go.
  15. Lester,   I carry an AR pistol in my truck, but I do not chamber a round.  Mag is loaded and bolt locked open.  I do that for the very questions you have asked.  too much left to the interpretation of the officer at hand.  I believe that any pistol is covered under all the laws of your HCP wether its a standard Glock or an AR pistol, but convincing a unknowing police officer of that may be more difficult than it should be.
  16.   This was my question the first time I saw this device, prior to this thread.  looks to me like an elaborate way to get a "shoulder-able" device on a pistol with a psuedo permision from ATF.    Question is, if your seen using the device as a shoulder type stock are you no longer safe under the ATF approval?   Hell, I'd probably give it a try if it werent so expensive
  17. Plus I don't feel like firing the gun as they do in the video is the most efficient use of the weapon. Just my opinion.
  18. i completely understand how the divice works, I just dont like it.  I dont like the ATF SBR process either, but I dont want to have to verlco strap my gun to my arm to use it.    My AR pistol works perfectly fine as is.  If i want a stock, I'll play the game, if not I'll just leave it like it is
  19. $139?  for another $70 you can just get your SBR stamp and put a real stock on it.
  20. I love my Cooper AT3's.  They are the only all terrain tire I would compare with the BF Goodrich All Terrain TA/KO.   They have really worn well.  hope they keep plants here in the states.  But alas, I have my doubts
  21. I honestly think it was yesterday when O'mara used the Prosecutions dummy and started bashing its head on the court floor.
  22. personally I would call 911 and move so that the parties know im present.  Instruct the fighting to stop (especially if its a one sided beating).  But I wouldnt physicaly get involved unless someones life is in eminent danger.  Regardless of the circumstances if someone is about to be beaten to death, it needs to stop.  Even if they were defending themselves, the threat is long over at that point.    other than that its situationally dependant
  23. i got a screaming deal at Austin's a couple years ago, but wasnt really overwhelmed with the customer service though.  it wasnt bad, it wasnt good, just kind of lackluster at me being there to buy a gun.  Either way, glad you got your gun back and didnt loose any money.  Call Predator and get that work done right.  FYI it might be 4-6 weeks to get it done there due to backlog of work.
  24. If thats the same Eric I am familiar with, he used to work at Frontier Firearms in Kingston, and he was the only reason I went in that store.  Ever since he left and went to CCA I havent been back in Frontier.  Very nice and knowlegable.
  25. I love God, and I sure never shyed away from a good convicting sermon.  But this I garuntee, if that pastor got in my face and called me out, he'd catch a certified eye jammie in short order.  Convicting people of their sins and emabarrasing them are two sepearte issues.
