  1. Well, that settles it for me, then they're around that part of the Clinch range for sure. Timbers have long fangs and put out a high venom yield, probably our most dangerous snake really if actually bitten. Supposedly the mildest tempered of the rattlers though (it's the one favored for religious snake handling), but it was still definitely best dispatched, for you and your animals both. - OS Timber Rattlers native range covers the entire state of Tennessee, so you could encounter them anywhere, even near town if habitat was conducive nearby. Most TR's I've encountered have been docile. Some never moved when I stepped right next to them, one barely moved, even when prodded with a stick. One however stood up and tried to block our path. We stepped to the side and it moved in front of us. It's in snake heaven now.

    flip up sights

I too use Magpul flip ups as a backup system. I like the spring loaded flip up. But I rarely use them except to make sure they're still sighted in. I have a vortex Strikefire red dot that I use mostly
  3. Welcome from another Knoxvillian
  4. This. Do it after dark. You'll see one lone bee guarding the hole, so just pour quickly.
  5. At least you saved Dolomite from that fate. I'm gonna slip him a bacon sammich next time I see him :) Hell, if I'd known he was eatin tofu I'd a pocketed him a biscuit from Tupelo
  6. Welcome. I like to wade the Caney fork when I can. Nice area over there
  7. Your wife is very pretty :) now go shave. .you look like a ... lumberjack Haha, yes she is...and don't worry I think her patience is running out with the beard. It won't last much longer :)
  8. After church brunch at Tupelo Honey Cafe. 2 eggs over medium, bacon, home fries and of course a giant biscuit!!
  9. maybe i'll give them to someone who does. That's probably the safest solution.
  10. Wash bay at Cadillac dealer(2 summers). Lots of hung over Saturdays sleeping in $55k Cadillacs WV Dept of Highways, herbicide application. Basically sat shotgun in spray truck and tried not to spray little old ladies roadside flower planters. US Forest Service. Timber management / Wildland Firefighter Consulting Forester(current, 10yrs) My favorite job was with the US forest service. Guv'mnt job, 8-4, most of that time was spent "not doing shit". Firefighting was a blast. I was on a chainsaw crew for 4 weeks (2 separate deployments) and just cut down random trees all day and got paid good money.
  11. You could always pull them and reload I suppose. I was assuming since he bought yard sale reloads that he probably doesn't reload. Most reloaders I know wouldn't buy them to start with. (No offense, they just wouldn't)
  12. Me? I would never buy or shoot any reloads that I didn't trust the reloader with my life. That definitely includes some dude running a yard sale. You could risk it and be fine....or you could blow up your gun. No way to know for sure either way. I'd throw em out and chalk up a $20 loss
  13. In summary it's the worlds largest garage sale all along HWY 127 that runs from Michigan to Alabama. People set up on the roadside. Lots if vendors in the Fentress/Cumberland county section, but I haven't been on any other sections
  14.     I see a pretty clear distinction myself
  15.     I am not a lawyer :D, but couldnt he be charged with "distrubing the peace" or "insighting a panic" or something similar.  It doesnt have to be a violation of carrying a weapon.  If I go into a theater and yell fire, I can be arrested and charged.  If I have a verbal argunment inside my residence that is so loud it disturbes my neighbors, I can be arrested and charged.
  16.   dont yall have a knoxville location opening in about a month?  Id wait, or drive to Nashville, their selection is unbeatable, from the shopping Ive done
  17.   I concure here.   I have 4 pairs of the Tru Spec 24/7.  3 dark Khaki and one OD Green.  They are great.  They also come with a water/stain resistant coating, it does wash out over time, but still nice for new pants.  I wear them because as a Forester they are great for transistion from office to fieldwork.  you can dress them up to a semi-casual office wear but perform great outdoors in heat and brush.
  18.     Thats correct.  all other parts are the the same. Depending on the gas port location (pistol length gas is recomended) a new gas tube and possibly an adjustable gas block although some have had good success with just a standard block.   I have a 10.5" barrel with pistol length gas, and a Siekens precision adjustable gas block.  once adjusted I can run super heavy sub sonic or Hornady 110gn VMAX without adjusting the block.   for a time I had a 5.56 and a .300 BLK and only had one BCG that I switched between the two.
  19. Awesome, I'll try to make it by
  20. Well...I don't know :D
  21. are you just trying to deterime the terminal ballistics of your setup or maximize the maximum terminal ballistics of an SBR?  Are you dead set on keeping it a 5.56?
  22. NM   I see, you want it to not show up on the "my content" page?
