  1. Have you been to Chuck Swan State Forest? They have planted fields. It's in Union county but may be not too far from you
  2. I think the point which people will stop paying for ammo is way higher than we thought. I would have never imagined people paying 70cents to $1 per round for surplus FMJ .223, but they did, and continue to do so. It wasn't too log ago I was debating at .25 per round.
  3. You've opted for a Glock over your 1911's? Blasphemy!! Haha, yep. It's lighter and shorter grip. It is thicker, but it definitely is easier to keep my pants up without tightening my belt so tight my legs go numb. Don't get me wrong. I love 1911, but this just makes more sense. Especially at work. I carry it in a drop leg holster and it gets sweat and sticks and dirt. Just too much for a nice 1911. The ol glock doesn't mind though :D
  4. I carry a G29 as my EDC. It's pretty great. I have a G19 but it stays at home. If you have short fingers you should try the SF models. That's what they are designed for.
  5. Yeah, but how many holsters do have sitting in a junk drawer, collecting dust? The Raven will work very well as a range holster, and if the OP ever wants to carry, he'll already have one of the best holsters available. Seems like win-win to me. I agree. I ordered a "Quick Ship" raven concealment for my glock 29 and mag holster last night. If price is an issue just buy a Fobus or the Glock brand, but if you want a really good holster, then you're gonna need to spend a little more.
  6. Interesting info. I didn't know. I have no doubt thy the VBOB was superior and this commanded a higher price. I just love the looks if the cbob and is slightly more affordable depending on the seller :)
  7. Well, now isn't a good litmus test just yet. Supply is still very low and demand is still very high so prices can easily be inflated. Now I don't think they will go back down to last years prices, but until ammo sits on the shelf for a month, there is no need for them to lower the price. Remember the sellers aren't our friends, thy are a business that's trying to increase profit margins and that's all it is.
  8. Good decision. No way I would have passed up an RRA for a Mossberg. Not because I think Mossy is junk, just because I love RRA
  9. I'd love to have one if someone is giving them away :D
  10. Yeah I can't figure it out. And in 2009 they were right around $1000. Wish I had the cash then. They replaced it with the VBOB which IMO isn't even close, plus they raised the price to $1600
  11. What scope do you have?
  12. No worries man. Thanks for the effort anyways. Much appreciated.
  13. Most definitely. Of course with all these things price and condition are dependent.
  14. If I see one ill let you shoot it :)
  15. anyone seen a CBOB for sale lately aside from Gunbroker?
  16.     he calls it metalife but its the same process.  His website is not that easy to navigate but the info is there.  3/4 of the way down the page are 4 tabs, two on the right are "pricing" and "contact"   http://www.mahovskysmetalife.com/
  17. I like his stuff, thanks for posting. You'll have to share pics when you get your pieces back.
  18. I think will will be "better" but I'm not getting my hopes too high. We still have the same players with the exception of Dooley's freshmen. Now in 2015 if we aren't a competitor for the SEC Title then I'm going to riot.
  19. They've won 3 of the last 4 National Championships, an we haven't done dick. We need any edge we can get with new recruits. Unfortunately their aren't 50 Nick Saban's out their, only one. Just watch the video in the link. The players are excited. That's what matters.
  20. Alabama only has 2 uniforms- home and away. If Dickies made their uniforms they'd still get top recruits. Your proving my point What's the difference between Alabama and Tennessee in the last 10 years? Plus their Nike. Also doesn't look like the Bama of the 90s
  21. I care because 18 year old kids care, and they mean wayyy more to winning games than any head coach. Lets face it. Kids are picking programs because they have Nike or Under Armour, as an Adidas school we have to move forward at the same pace. Kids don't know the Tennessee tradition that everyone is used to from the 80s and 90s. We have sucked for the better part of a decade. We have to rebuild the tradition.
  22. No way. Dooley Do-Right got 3 years. Plus this is not a head coaching decision its an Admin. He just happens to be the coach who unveils it.
  23. I think you're just loading them to light. Your slide isn't getting all the way back before returning forward. So you end up with a loaded round and an empty case jammed together. You can use your barrel out if the 1911 as a temporary chamber gauge
  24. The grey are awesome, I don't care what anyone says.
  25. I just watched it last night.  Walt tried to lie his way out of it, but in the end Heisenberg came out.  Hank will blow a gasket before this is over.   The preview at the begining has me as intrigued as anything.  When he greats the neighbor and she drops the groceries tells alot about how things are going to change in the coming weeks
