  1. My four year old son and I just had a 15 minute discussion on the best way to defeat a zombie invasion. I've never been more proud. If only I could get my wife on board now...
  2. When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was a story about Nancy Pelosi.

    GSG-5

Anybody shooting one of these? If so, how has reliability been? I've got a Sig 522 but I've liked the MP5 styling of the GSG. Wish I'd bought one before HK sued and the prices went up.
  4. Those look fantastic. I've got some Sarge's on my CBOB too.
  5. I likey.

I love my 20SF. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Very versatile, great for reloaders. Good for home defense or hunting. Did I mention I love mine?
  7. Thanks for the advice everyone. It is a live round. My big concern was whether or not the rimfire primer would detonate with prying pressure. I tried doing a little bit of research and couldn't find anything conclusive. I'll work on it tonight.
  8. I had a round jam in my Mark II this morning. Fully seated and stuck. I think I could pry it out with a jeweler's screwdriver, but that seems like a bad idea with a rimfire. Anyone have any suggestions?
  9. Craig, I carry a Glock 36 in the summertime and a Dan Wesson CCO in the wintertime. The Glock (like most Glocks) is a tank. It shoots anything I put in it and begs for more. My CCO is slightly more picky, but it carries nicely and has been a very reliable gun. Both are carried comfortably in Crossbreed Supertucks, but I also have a C5 Leather IWB and OWB holster for the CCO. I love them both for what they are and would not get rid of either of them.
  10. I'll try to get some pics if I get down there again. Here's their website too- ukurova Av ve Spor There are some pics of the shop in there.
  11. Yeah, Pop's is still the place. I broke down and got a new flight jacket and will probably pick up one of the gun rugs before I leave. The prices are just too good to pass up.
  12. This place is on the alley, a couple of blocks before you get to Pop's. May be the same place. I think I've talked myself out of it. I don't currently shoot skeet/trap and I think the $750 they're charging could be better spent back home.
  13. I'm currently deployed to Turkey and have a chance to buy Huglu shotguns at pretty descent prices. I'm not really a shotgun guy but I've got my eye on a 103FE 28" over/under with some nice filigree work and a beautiful walnut stock. Fit and finish look really nice and the dealer is a reputable one with a distributor in Texas that handles all of the import paperwork. Does anyone have any experience with these guns?
  14. He kind of caught me off guard, so I just told him to send me whatever he thought I needed and charge me full price +15%.
  15. The guy that owns this company is a douche. I just called to check the inventory on my order. They didn't have the Eberlestock pack I had ordered so I was trying to see what they did have so that I could still make a purchase. As I was talking to his wife he gets on the phone and says, "Look, we're going out of business and we're not in the best of f---ing moods. Just place your f----ing order and get off the phone." Probably why he's going out of business.
  16. Eberlestock packs for 40% off is an incredible deal. Thanks for the heads up.

These are available at Bud's now, in black and bitone. Get 'em while they're hot...
  19. We watched this one last night. Great movie but definitely depressing. It does make my ammo stockpiling seem slightly more normal to my wife though. I think we'll certainly start with more than two bullets.
  20. Very nice, what's the overall length?
  21. I've made several purchases with them and have never been anything but pleased. They'd be a great addition to the supporting vendors list.
  22. Sorry, should have clarified. I do have the 20SF.
  23. I'm sure I'll end up with one, but I'm not a big fan of the rollmarks. I like them subtle, like the Dan Wessons.
  24. I've had a 10mm fetish for a little while now. I finally decided on the Glock 20. I picked the full size over the G29 for a few reasons: 1)I wanted to shoot the heavier 10mm loads and the large frame should be better for recoil 2)I'm not going to carry it 3)I like the higher capacity magazines (15+1). I bought mine at Craig's Firearms in Knoxville and was out the door for right at $500 (military pricing, includes 3 magazines). I ordered some 165gr FN reloads from Georgia Arms and had them in about three days. I also picked up some Hornady 180gr XTPs and ordered another 500 rounds of 180gr JHP "Canned Heat" from Georgia Arms that is currently backordered. On Wednesday I had the afternoon free so I went up to ORSA. Got there around 2pm and had the whole plinking range to myself. I put up a target stand and threw out some golf balls, tennis balls, and an old plastic coffee can. I ran 50 rounds of the GA reloads through it and had zero issues. I would have liked to shoot more but I was only able to get 200 rounds and I didn't want to burn through all of it in one session. I shot off-hand and intentionally limp wristed it and couldn't make it have a problem. The recoil is snappy but manageable. By the end of it I was able to walk the coffee can from 7 yards out to about 20. I think I'm going to add a Streamlight TLR-1 and make this my bedside gun after I've run a few more rounds through it. Think I may try some Double Tap and some Buffalo Bore, but I don't expect any problems with either. As for the obligatory pictures, I don't have any. Sorry. I promise you though, it looks just like a Glock.
