  1. Great review lostpass. I love my 0300 but it is a hoss of a knife to carry. Mav, I'm gonna have to try out that "smash the hell out of someone's face" maneuver...
  2. You've got a great start, but I'd be shocked if your collection was done.
  3. The Kershaw Blur is a great little assisted opening knife in that price range.
  4. What are the specs on that one? You can also look at Busse, Swamp Rat and Scrapyard. All American made.
  5. Yeah Steve, you've really got this knife thing bad! You must have 10 or 15 in your collection by now! Wish you hadn't shown me these. Especially not with the Busse setup at Knob Creek coming up. FWIW, I like the scales on the drop point better than the fighter. They look more comfortable in the hand.
  6. Very nice. I also thought that would be a cool skill to learn, but never took the time or effort to try it out. Let us know how sharp the learning curve is on using it.
  7. I just had a thought (yes it hurt). We moved recently. I changed my address online with TN.gov and by my understanding don't need to update my driver's license until it's time to renew. What happens next time I go to fill out a 4473? My license address won't match my legal address. Any gun dealers or knowledgeable folks able to chime in here?
  8. Damn Steve, you're setting the bar pretty high. I may have to rethink the Busse passaround if that's going to be the standard, lol!
  9. I've been carrying the G36 with a Crossbreed holster for a couple of years now and I love it.
  10. I usually carry a ZT 0350, but when I carry a fixed blade it's typically a Busse SAR-3 in a Dan Ward OWB sheath. The sheath I bought directly from the maker and the SAR-3s are fairly readily available on the secondary market.
  11. That's a nice looking blade. Did you find that one locally or on the interwebz?
  12. This post has been up for nearly 8 hours and I haven't seen any of the usual crew who defend any actions by the police as justified. Maybe there is no defense for this one...
  13. I'm not a big fan of the "VIP" crap they're doing now. How about just give me good service without charging me an annual fee for it? I'll still order from Bud's if it's convenient and I'm not in a hurry for my order but they aren't my go-to dealer anymore.
  14. Really nice! I haven't had the chance to handle/use any Mercworx knives. Did you buy locally or from the net?
  15. I believe those are flared tube rivets. No real purpose except for a low maintenance way to secure the scales to the knife.
  16. Off topic Mav, but I love the new avatar. Unfortunately "Idiocracy" is looking more and more like a documentary these days.
  17. That's one sexy little coupe. I've always had a fetish for the M5. I just can't think up the valid justification to convince my wife that we need a 500hp sedan as a third car.
  18. Mav, I've got a 0302, a 350 and a 0551 (very similar to the 561's) and for EDC the 0350 is my favorite. To me the 0302 was too large to carry and the 0551 was more of a collector's piece. I prefer flippers and will probably end up with one of the 0561s. For the sake of reference here's a pic of all three side by side plus a Hinderer XM-18 and XM-24.
  19. I may throw a Busse in the ring for a passaround before too long. I'm just back from a deployment and am ridiculously behind in everything right now.
  20. Glad you like the ZT. In my opinion it's definitely one of the best "bang for the buck" knives out there. For what it's worth, I carried a Blur every day until I got the 350.
  21. Great idea Steve! I love the passarounds.
  22. You know Mac, I didn't even notice that. It looks a lot like the Axis lock that Benchmade uses.
  23. I've had a Wicked Edge pro kit on order for the last six weeks or so. They did an demo on my ZT350 at Blade and I was sold. I'll put up a review as soon as I've had a chance to try it out.
  24. Nice one Steve, love those blue scales.
  25. Steve beat me to it. You won't be sorry.
