  1. "Institute for Economics and Peace". Sounds like an unbiased organization.
  2. I tried to negotiate a cash price on a CZ452 they had in Turkey Creek not too long ago. Guy behind the counter told me they didn't negotiate prices because they were the biggest gun store in the country and they didn't have to. Fair enough- they will never have to worry about negotiating a price with me.
  3. Nice scores. ESEE makes a great knife and stands behind it with a great warranty. I've found the 3 and the 5 to be my favorites and I keep an Izula in my truck-bag.
  4. Are you a fixed-blade or a folder guy? Both Fallkniven and ZT/Hinderer make really nice quality knives. Are you looking for a safe queen or something to carry and use? On a day to day basis folding knives make a lot more sense for me. On an emotional basis I love a fixed blade. Thus, my safe is filled with fixed blades and my pocket is filled with a folder. It looks like the value of the Fallkniven would put you into a ZT 0560/0561 with a little bit of cash left over. In that price range I might also look at Chris Reeve knives. I've got an Umnumzaan that has turned into my every day knife.
  5. I would go with a CZ452 rather than the 455 but I'd go with the 455 over the Savage or the Ruger. Nothing wrong with either of the other two, CZ just makes a better rifle (IMHO). I have 3 of the 452's, a pimped out Ruger 10/22 and a Savage 93r17 with the accutrigger. All three brands are nice but if I could only keep one it would be the CZ.
  6. That's sweet. I've never heard of a pellet grill. I cook on a Big Green Egg and wouldn't switch back to gas for anything.
  7. Damned animals. No value whatsoever for human life. There's an old-school fix for that sort of behavior.
  8. Glad you're the one who said it.
  9. Disregard, found them at Bass Pro. As hard as these things are to find they must be made of unobtanium.
  10. Thanks David, Will you let me know the shipped price to Knoxville when you figure out if you have the #10 also? Thanks.
  11. The Becker BK-2 is hard to beat but it's a little bit larger than you stated (5.5" blade). I've also got an ESEE 3 that I think is just about perfect. If you haven't been to SMKW before plan to spend a couple of hours there.
  12. This is apparently a pretty emotional subject for some people. Very simple for me. Gunbuster sign = no cash from me.
  13. I messaged him about it a couple of days ago. Hopefully he'll have them.
  14. If that works for you that's great. I prefer to keep my Fourth Amendment rights intact along with the rest of them. As far as creating a law to force searches- again check the Fourth Amendment.
  15. Anyone know where I can find a #10 and a #45 shellplate for a reasonable price? They seem to be out of stock everywhere.
  16. I've got a CZ452 and I'm having Predator Customs thread it.
  17. A bigger issue to me is supporting an anti-gun company (PayPal) with my money. I won't use PP for any gun transactions, no matter how discreet.
  18. Having met you in person I can say that I'd prefer you being armed than about three-quarters of the mouth-breathing "Americans" I see walking around on a day to day basis.
  19. Hey Gordon, After talking with my wife I ended up going with Chip Cain from here on the forum. The process was really painless and was done in just a few days. Part of it was dealing with the CLEO signature, fingerprints, etc. I live about as far away from the Sheriff's office as you can and by the time you deal with parking, waiting, etc I've burned a half day every time I want to do this. Also I added my wife as a trustee and was able to put my kids in as beneficiaries. Finally the one and done appeal- do this right one time and be able to use it for an indefinite amount of items.
  20. Exactly. Best money I've spent in a while.
  21. I understand what you're saying. I'm on a couple of acres. I have neighbors, not close, but close enough to hear gunshots. A suppressor to me is the difference between being able to shoot whenever I want to and potentially being a bad neighbor. Plus, it's really cool to hear the lack of sound from a subsonic 22lr coming out of a suppressed bolt action rifle.
  22. Wonder how the carry laws are in Oregon... Seems like a problem waiting for a .45 caliber solution.

    Kimbers

Never owned a Kimber but I've been eyeballing a Stainless Target in 10mm for the last couple of weeks. I had finally decided that I was going to buy it. Went to my LGS and fondled it one more time. In the next case over was a Dan Wesson Heritage. Being a DW fanboy I had to handle it too. The Kimber just didn't feel as "solid" side by side and I ended up not getting it. Unfortunately I didn't get the DW either. If only it had been a 10mm....
  24. Gorgeous. My Les Baer Premier has the sweetest trigger of any pistol I own. Can't wait to hear your range report.
