  1. Went back again this morning. It wasn't too crowded. Didn't see anyone I knew. Found a great deal on some 17hmr and picked up a couple of leather holsters.
  2. I saw a couple of these at the Knoxville gun show yesterday and was intrigued. Carbines in 45acp, 40s&w and 9mm that take Glock mags and have lots of AR interchangeable parts. Downside is that they are more expensive (about $600) than the Hi Point 995 or the Sub 2000. Upside is that they take Glock mags and they aren't as ugly as the Sub 2000 or the 995. Anyone have any experience with them? http://www.justrightcarbines.com/
  3. Thanks John. Show was okay today. Actually found a couple of decent deals. Didn't see any of the usual suspects. Were you guys there?
  4. Who has the $2 off coupon for the show? Mac?
  5. I've got the same sander. I use Klingspor paper-backed belts and a surgi-sharp leather belt for final honing.
  6. I'm getting a little irritated too. Over two months now and the transfer from Major Malfunction to my dealer isn't even complete yet. Why the hell does this have to be this difficult?
  7. To those involved in the passaround, please let me know when you receive the knife and when you have shipped it on to the next person. I'll track the knife's progress in this thread. Thanks.
  8. Okay folks, the knife is in the mail to Daniel. He she is as she goes out the door. Have fun... Current status: Knife shipped to Daniel on 6 August-
  9. I'll be there Saturday morning. May be up for food, I'll know as it gets closer.
  10. Saw this story earlier and it made me smile. Adam Smith is a douchebag and a bully and I have no tolerance for either.
  11. They're never like the videos in real life...
  12. Forgot to add, there is also a guy named Jeff Law who lives right up the road in Lebanon. He does absolutely incredible work. Below is a sheath me made for one of my Busses. https://sites.google.com/site/rainwalkercreations/
  13. If you want to have something made, Dwayne Puckett is a great guy to work with and very reasonably priced. He'll make you exactly what you want. http://www.armoralleather.com/
  14. Okay, I'll go ahead and close this for signups. I've got Daniel's info and will get the knife out to him on Friday. Thanks everyone!
  15. As if I needed another reason to never spend another minute or dollar in Chicago...
  16. You're taking me out of context. I brought up Bill of Rights because the comparison was made between 2nd Amendment and gay marriage. As I said before, "Right to Happiness" is not in the Constitution nor does it outweigh the law. The law in TN says gay marriage is not legal. It doesn't matter how much you or anyone else wants gay marriage to be a right, it isn't. As I stated before, I don't particularly give a damn who gets married. I just don't want your beliefs shoved down my throat anymore than you want mine.
  17. No, you didn't. But you did compare it to the Second Amendment, which is in the Bill of Rights. The two are not related. Gay marriage is not a right, especially in a state where it is not even legal according to the State Constitution. The "Pursuit of Happiness" is not valid if it isn't in conjunction with the law. You can't marry a goat just because it makes you happy. To clarify, I'm not looking at this from a Biblical perspective. My personal opinion is that I couldn't care less who gets married to who. Just don't push it down my throat and don't make it an issue if I don't jump up and down and celebrate a lifestyle that I don't share.
  18. I find your post ironic. Unlike gun owner's rights, the "right" to gay marriage shows up nowhere in the Bill of Rights. In fact, taking rights out of it all together, gay marriage is not even legal in Tennessee. Also not quite sure how his beliefs "infringe" on anyone else's rights. He doesn't refuse to serve gays, doesn't refuse to hire them, doesn't refuse them anything. Apparently in the liberal gay community, anything short of boisterous support for their lifestyle is categorized as intolerance and bigotry.
  19. Sounds great guys. I'll leave this open for another 24 hours and if we don't have 10 by then I'll close it. Daniel, if you can PM me your shipping info I'll try to get this out to you on Friday.
  20. I'm going to start a passaround for my user Busse BWM. I'll send the knife and a kydex sheath with a Tec-Lok to the first person on the list. The rules are as follows: 1) Post here that you want in. 2) Have at least 150 posts at TGO. 3) Use the knife. Chop wood. Baton wood. Make fire sticks. Use it to cut your steak. Have fun. 4) After you have used the knife- package it and mail it (Priority Mail insured for $500) to the next person on the list. Keep the knife for no more than one week. Current user and next user info will be maintained here. 5) Post a review of your experience with the knife. Pictures are expected and appreciated. I'm going to limit this to 10 people as I do use my knife and would like to have it back before winter time. Last recipient will ship the knife back to me. Knife is currently slightly more "used" than the picture shows but is still shaving sharp. 1. Metalhead 2. Broomhead 3. MacGyver 4. LumberJack 5. gjohnsoniv 6. willis68
  21. Have him contact me and I'll take the defective Hinderers off of his hands. Knives are much worse than guns as far as I'm concerned. Absolutely addictive.
  22. I'm carrying a Chris Reeve Startac Umnumzaan, probably the one above your Starbenza in the picture above. Absolutely love this knife.
  23. I think your Cryo and your 0560 would get a lot more attention if you didn't photograph them with that ridiculously sexy anodized XM-18. Seriously though, nice group. I like my 0560 a lot. Never handled a Cryo but it looks like usual Kershaw quality. Congrats!
